Why Is It So Hard To Believe

This tid-bit comes with homework. Due to space I am just listing the scriptures and you will need to go to your bible and read the scriptures so that you may get a good understanding of just who you are in Christ and what His word says.

Why did Jesus tell His disciples to go and heal in His name if we are already healed? Good question. Jesus had not yet died on the cross at that time. And then after His death and resurrection the disciples went out and preached the gospel, the good news and told of Jesus death and resurrection and what He did for them on the cross. When they chose to believe and accept this finished work, they were healed and made whole.

It is easy for people to believe in parts of the finished work, but yet they have a hard time believing in other parts. WHY? I think personally it is because of the way we are told about Jesus, the way we are taught. There is so much focus on our eternal salvation that we are barely taught anything about the life the whole life, the abundant life Jesus wants us to have while we are still living here on earth. Read scriptures John 10 v 10-11

Jesus said He came to give us life, a more abundant life. He didn't say anything about having to die and go to heaven first before receiving that life. He also says in His word that the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. Satan goes about like a roaring lion waiting to devour whomever he can. Read 1 Pet 5 v 8

That is why we are told to put on our full armour of God. God doesn't say He will put on the armour and fight the devil for us, He says we are given the power and authority and weapons to stand against Satan. Read Ephe 6 v 10-13.

We have to resist the devil. Read James 4 v 7. The power is within us. God's will is never forced on anyone. We choose whether or not to believe, we choose whether or not we will accept the finished work.

God rewards those who diligently seek Him. We will overcome the world with our faith in our Father. We have to renew our minds with right teaching. Read Heb. 11 v 6 and 1 John 5 v 4 and Ephes. 4 v 21-24 and Ephes 3 v 16-21. In all these scriptures you will see where the power lies.

Satan has no power over you except for when you give him a place in your mind. When you start meditating on what he says and how he makes you feel, he uses your mind to overcome you. That is why it is so important that we renew our minds with the mind of Christ. That is why we must know who we are in Christ Jesus. That is why we have to get a good opinion of who God our Father really is.

We are in His grace. We are saved by Grace. What is grace?
Grace is unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor from God. There is nothing you can do to earn grace or lose Grace. Grace is freely given to all who believe in the Lord Jesus. We have to come to the understanding that we are under Grace, we are under the Blood, we are not under the law. Therefore you will not fall from grace. The only way out from under grace is by not believing in the Lord Jesus.

Therefore we are not subject to the devil and his works. Read 2 Cor 10 v 5...We have to cast down all imaginations and every thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of God, we have to bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

We have to change our stinking thinking and replace it with the right thinking of Christ JESUS who lives within us. AMEN! Read Prov 23 v 7.. As a man thinketh in his heart so is he...

Here is a statement that was made in our classes we took not long ago.

God will never see you as a failure because Jesus is not a failure, and you are in Christ.

So why do we find it so easy to believe and accept what the devil says about us instead of what our loving ABBA FATHER says about us?

Remember the truth is you posess all of the abilities of Christ and have the mind of Christ 1 Cor 2 v 16, so as you continue to stay in the word you will begin to renew your mind and begin to see yourself as who the WORD the TRUTH says you are. AMEN!

STAY IN THE WORD!
