He Restores Their Sight

When you read in the word, He restores sight to the blind, who do you think Jesus is talking about? Yes there were times when there was actually a blind person, like the man Jesus' healed of blindness, who was blind since birth and He put the mud on his eyes, and restored his sight.

But there was something else I saw. What about when He restores sight to those who have been blinded by tradition, wrong teachings, hard hearts, negative influences?

I believe some of those times when He is talking about restoring sight to the blind, He is referring to those people. People who can not believe because they can not see the physical proof, then something happens and their hearts are softened and they are able to see what was there all along. They are able to see their healing. They are able to see through the eyes of Jesus.

What about Saul before he became Paul? Didn't the Lord cause him to get scales on his eyes and then when they fell off, he was a changed man, he could believe? AMEN! Who had a harder heart than him? He was persecuting and killing all those who followed Jesus. He was the ring leader so to speak. And then Jesus caused him to fall to the ground while He spoke to him and caused him to be blinded with scales on his eyes. Read Acts chapter 9 to get the whole story.

Acts 9 v 18....Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he recieved his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized.....

We have to see the way Jesus sees in order to believe.

What about Jairus, the ruler who went to Jesus because his young daughter was dying. He told Jesus, come and lay your hands on her and she shall be made well. He spoke what he believed. Now not long before he was the one who would be in charge of persecuting those who followed Jesus. But after seeing and hearing of the miracles Jesus had done, who do you think he went to when his daughter got sick? You might say he had a change of heart about who Jesus was and what Jesus had the power to do. You might say his eyes were opened to the truth. AMEN!

Then along the way, the woman with the issue of blood came out and touched Jesus garment, and said if only I touch the hem of His garment I shall be healed. She SPOKE what she believed to be true.

So Jesus stops to give her a miracle, and in the mean time, a servant of Jairus comes and says, never mind, it is too late, your daughter is dead. Now Jairus could have gotten upset and said, stone this woman who has taken up Jesus time for her miracle while my daugher was dying. He had the power to do so. He had the power to stone her period because she was out in public with an issue of blood which in those days was punishable by stoning. But he stayed focused on the GRACE of Jesus.

As soon as Jesus heard the NEGATIVE, The BAD REPORT from the servant, He said, "Do not be afraid, only believe." You see He knew how quickly one bad report or one person speaking negative reports could challenge someone in their faith. So He immediately told him not to listen, to stay focused on what He said, don't let your faith waiver, but only BELIEVE. AMEN.

Mark 5 v 35-36....While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, "Your daughter is dead, why trouble the Teacher any further?" As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe."......

Don't we all go through that sometimes? Don't we all have times when we are believing for something and someone comes along and tries to ruin it for us with all of their good intentions.

When you are believing for something of the most importance, like Jairus wanting his daughter to live, then we have to avoid the naysayers, the negative reports, all those with their good intentions of telling us why something can't be, when Jesus says it is finished, it is already done. We have to keep the blinders off, and keep our sight on Him. AMEN!

Thank the Lord, Jairus listened to Jesus, and kept his eyes on Him, and not on what the world was telling him. Jesus told them she is not dead, she is sleeping. They thought He was crazy, and they ridiculed Him.

Is that what happens to you when you are believing for something like your healing, your finances to be supernaturally paid, your marriage to be restored? Do the people around you ridicule you for believing for a miracle, or for believing in what the WORD of GOD says to be true?

Don't give up. Press on. Like the woman with the issue of blood. She had to press through a huge crowd of people, but she believed and she pressed on. Read Mark chapter 5 and get the whole story about her and Jairus and his daughter.

Don't be blinded by what the world is telling you. Let God restore your sight, so that you may see His miracles, His blessings, His Joy He has for you. AMEN!

God Gives Us More Than Enough

Every morning I watch as a lady jogs past my house. I am always thinking, I should go out and introduce myself. But then I think, I do not want to interrupt her pace. So then I noticed sometimes she is walking back past the house, but it seems I was always busy doing something that I did not want to stop and take the time.

Then one morning, while letting the dogs out she was just walking past, so I hollered, hey lady, I have been watching you get skinnier and skinnier as you walk every day. She was so happy I came out and said she had been hoping I would come out so she could meet me, and she loved my place and wanted to meet my chickens as well. As I took her back to meet the chickens, we talked and talked and found we had alot in common, especially in the gardening area. What a great new friend. I was so excited to finally have met a neighbor and a new friend as well.

Then she asked me to come to her neighborhood to walk one morning because there was a lady there that she liked to walk with as well, but the lady walks in the neighborhood. So I put it on my calendar to get up early and meet them to walk. Now this lady reminded me of my mother and my aunt from home, as she was also a huge gardening fan. She had everything under the sun in her yard. She showed me so many different plants and gave me so many stories to go along with them, as she shared a car load of pass alongs with me. I was so grateful and excited to have all these new plants but not as excited as to now have two new friends.

Then when we went walking over to the park, I asked my new friend, let me stop in this store and see if they will allow me to put a sign up for selling my eggs across the street. While talking to this girl, we find out she also is a neighbor to my new friend in her neighborhood. So the next day, she comes to buy eggs and brings me an angel trumpet tree. Turns out she loves gardening as well.

HALLELUJAH, when God gives you something, He doesn't just give you a little bit, He gives you more than enough, even when it comes to new friends. AMEN!

John 10 v 10.....The thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly....

Don't just sit in the house and let the thief steal your new friends, and destroy your happiness. Get outside work in the yard, and you never know who God will send jogging down your path. AMEN!

Somebody out there has been sitting in the house keeping to themselves and missing out on all the joy the Lord wants to share with them. Get up, and Get out, and Get digging in the dirt. Somebody will notice. AMEN!

But don't neglect to dig in His Word as well.

Whom Christ Has Set Free

Who Christ has set free is free indeed. What is keeping you in bondage? Whose yoke are you trying to wear?

John 8 v 36...Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.....

I heard a speaker using this example about being in bondage, and I thought I would share with you.

When an elephant is small, he is tethered to a tree so that he can only walk so many steps then he stops and lifts up his backfoot that is tethered, and he learns that is as far as he can go. Once his backfoot comes up, he can go no further, because his foot is chained to a tree.

Now after years of that, when he is older, he is loosed from that tree, and you can use a little tent stake and put it in the sand, and when he walks so many steps he will stop and raise his foot when he feels the chain. He does not realize that the tree is no longer there holding him back, he does not realize that he can just keep walking, that with his weight the stake will come right up out of the sand. He has been set free but he can not see the realization of that fact. He only knows what years of tradition, habits, and what he has been taught to be true. So when you tell him, "elephant you are set free", he can not understand what you are saying. After all he is an elephant, he is of a different species than you, he can not communicate with you.

How is that like some Christians? There are Christians out there who are still in bondage to old habits, traditions, sickness, disease. There are Christians out there who still claim sickness over their bodies because, well, grandma so and so had it, and then mother or father had it, so it is in my blood for me to have it. What a lie the devil has sold you. And here is the truth. Once you became a child of God, once you accepted Jesus as your savior, you were SET FREE from the curses of this world. You are free in the finished work at the cross.

Here is the important part of this message. Can you understand what Christ is saying to you in His Word? Are you able to communicate with God the Father, and His Son Jesus? I hope you answered yes. I hope you understand the way of communication has been opened up for you through His Word by way of His Holy Spirit revealing the truths that are in His Word.

In other words, when He says in His Word you have been set free from all things, you have been healed of all diseases, you have no lack in any area, but you are prosperous in all that you do. Can you realize the truth? Until we can get a revelation of the truth it will not come to pass for us.

The pastor said it like this. Some Christians can never receive their blessing because they can not recognize the blessings as theirs. How sad is that? What do you need to do to recognize all the blessings that are out there for you? Get into His Word, and get His Word into your heart. AMEN!

1 Tim 6 v 17....Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy....

He gives us what? Who gives us RICHLY ALL things to ENJOY!

Luke 4 v 18....."The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has annointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim liberty to the captives; and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;".....

Jesus was annointed to go out and preach the gospel, that would be the good news, not hell and condemnation. He was sent to heal, to set free, to give sight to those who are blinded by their pasts, to set them free from the yokes that are keeping them oppressed and in bondage. He annointed His disciples with the same annointing and then left us with this same annointing and power that was given to Him by the Father. AMEN.

Phil 4 v 6-7....Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus....

He says be anxious for nothing, do not worry about anything. He says to go to God with THANKSGIVING and ask for what you need. He does not say go whining and moaning and complaining to ask God, but to go with Thanksgiving. And then what will happen? GOD's peace will come upon you and guard your heart and your mind. Whose peace? GOD's!

Romans 1 v 16-17....For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."....

The power of God is for those who believe. The same power Jesus had to heal, you have as a child of God. He says the just shall live by faith. The believers shall live by faith, not by tradition, not because of what generations before them have said or say, not by what anyone else says or does, but by faith in the Lord Jesus. AMEN!

You do not have to be tethered to your sickness, your lack, whatever your problem may be. You have been set free in Christ Jesus. Take your freedom and rest in God's peace.

Find in His word, His peace for you, His riches for you, find your sight and understanding and let His word set you free.

Romans 8 v 1-2....There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death....

Romans 6 v 22....But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit, to holiness, and the end, everlasting life...

John 8 v 31-32.....Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."........

What shall make you free. Knowledge of His Word, His Truth. AMEN!

His Only Concern For You

Satan has only one concern about you. That concern is to keep the WORD out of you. Jesus has already defeated satan, and the only way to stay free of his bondage is to use the WORD against him, and he knows that. He is not concerned about your unhealthy lifestyle you live, he doesn't care if you are damaging your health with bad choices like, drugs, certain foods, alcohol. His only concern is that you never get revelation of the WORD into you, so that you can break those bondages on your life. He wants to keep you bound in chains that are destroying you and your life, he wants to keep you for his kingdom.

The WORD will deliver you from that bondage, from his hold, from going to his kingdom. You do not have to be some famous preacher, evangelist, or not even a life long Christian, you need only to get into His WORD and let His WORD fill your heart, and lead you out of your bondage. You need only to know JESUS as your personal savior, and He will lead you into freedom with His WORD. HE IS THE WORD! AMEN!

Take control over your life today, take the reins away from satan. Get into the WORD of GOD and let your knowledge of His WORD set you free. AMEN!

Galatians 5 v 1.....Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage....

2 Cor 3 v 17....Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.(freedom).......

1 Tim 2 v 3.....For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth....

John 14 v 6....Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.".....

John 8 v 32.....And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free....

John 1 v 1-5....In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it....

You see your freedom is in the Light, the Light is Jesus. When you are walking in darkness you are searching for that light at the end of the tunnel so to speak, Jesus is that Light, He is your freedom from your darkness. Do you see the scripture tells you that darkness can not comprehend the Light, darkness (your problems) are not of the Light they are of the enemy and so when you shine the Light the TRUTH when you understand the WORD and you speak the WORD you will defeat and destroy the darkness, the chains that are holding you in bondage. AMEN! It is like if you are in a dark room and you can not see your hand in front of your face it is so dark, and then someone opens a door and lets the light in, the darkness is broken. So shall your chains be when you let the LIGHT into your heart and speak the WORD, the TRUTH over your situation. AMEN!

Break your chains today whatever they might be. Whatever is keeping you in bondage, whether it be something physical, something financial, something in your job, anything that is keeping you from the WORD of God and keeping you in bondage, speak the WORD over it today. What is taking your time away from studying HIS WORD?

We Need Only The Word

Do you need more than the word to get you through your trials, do you need physical evidence, or can you believe only the word and trust God to get you through?

We are all Thomas's at some time or other in our lives. Thomas said he could not believe unless he saw the holes in Jesus' body.

John 20 v 24-25....Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, "We have seen the Lord." So he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.".....

WOW! He did not only want to see the holes, but he had to put his hands into the holes as well. But what happened when Jesus appeared to him?

John 20 v 26-29....And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!" Then He said to Thomas, 'Reach your finger here, and look at My hands, and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.' And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God." Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.".........

Now let's look at faith without seeing.

Matthew 8 v 5-13....Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying 'Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented." And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him." The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, Go, and he goes, and to another Come, and he comes and to my servant, Do this, and he does it. When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed. "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!. And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be gnashing of teeth." Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour......

Interesting here is the point that this man was not even a Jew, he was not your church going guy who has been in church all of his life. No this was a man who recognized Jesus for Who He is. He recognized the authority Jesus had. He was able to believe without the physical proof of evidence. This was a man of authority himself, maybe this is why he recognized the authority Jesus has.

Here is the point, there are well meaning Christians going to church everytime the doors open, and singing and amening, but when it comes to taking HIS WORD as the final authority over a situation, they still have to have proof. The scripture above says Jesus marveled at what he heard from the centurion. He said not even His followers had such faith, in todays words, He said not even those I see in church every week have such faith.

The centurion had it right, he said, only speak the word and my servant will be healed.

Where are you in your belief? Do you need to put your hands in the scars, or can you take Jesus at His word?

Remember the words of Jesus, Blessed are those who have not seen, yet have believed. AMEN!
