Examples To Our Children

(A Past Tid-Bit)

Are we good examples for our children? What sort of language do we use around our children, or do we gossip and talk about others around our children? Children hang on to every word that comes from their mothers and fathers. What are you teaching your child?

Are we teaching our children the ways of the world,or are we teaching them the ways of the LORD? To teach someone is to go over and over the lessons until they get it. Do we go over and over the word of God with our children, teaching them to pray to the Father, to give thanks to the LORD, to worship Him in song, or are we teaching them the ways of the world? How to use a cell phone, how to use a computer, the words to the latest hit on secular radio. In other words how much time do we spend with them teaching them the Bible, and how much time do we spend teaching them the ways of the world?

These days, children will say something that is unappropriate and we say, isn't that cute, or I wonder where they pick up the things they say. They pick them up from observing the people around them. Who do your children spend most of their time with, and how much damage control do you do when you get them home with you? Do you have a family prayer time together, and a family bible study time together? How can they learn the ways of the LORD, if they are constantly watching videos, or playing games on the computer, or just spending time once a week in church?

You say my child is still too young to understand the Bible. Are they smart enough to know how to turn on a computer, or put a video in to watch, or play games, or to repeat what they hear. Then they are smart enough to understand the Bible when read and explained to them. The problem is, are we versed enough in the word to tell them the stories of the Bible and to tell them the ways of Jesus, so that they will desire to live like Jesus and not like the 'Brittany Spears', and Hannah Montanahs of the world. Who are you letting your child make their idols? Where does Jesus fit into your child's life, and if asked about Jesus, how much could your child tell someone about JESUS, verses how much they could tell them about Hannah Montanah or Dora Dora or whoever they are intuned to?

The way I learned the stories of the Bible, was when I first accepted the Lord, I wanted to get involved in my church, so I started teaching the 2-3 year olds. The lessons they learned each week, I learned along with them. Then my interest was peaked so that I wanted to know more about this wonderful Savior of mine. Jesus says, we will come to Him as little children. No one just wakes up and knows all about the Bible, you have to start somewhere. Why not learn while teaching the little ones at the same time? You do not have to teach a Sunday School class to teach your child, there are many little books and Bibles that you can purchase at the Christian Book Stores, or your church book store to help you to teach your child. Next time instead of buying that new video game, or computer game, buy a Child' s Bible and spend time with your child that will bless you both. AMEN!

Deut. 4 v 9....Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them....

Deut. 11 v 18-19....Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.....

Prov. 22 v 6....train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.....

At the end of everyday, when we lay our heads down on our pillows, we ask ourselves, what kind of example was I to my child today?

Casting Out With Prayer & Fasting

Do you remember the story in Matthew 9 about the boy who had a deaf & dumb spirit in him, and the disciples could not cast it out. So when Jesus, came, and inquired as to what was going on, the father of the son told him, that the disciples could not cast out the spirit from his son. Jesus answered with, "Oh faithless generation, how long shall I be with you, how long shall I bear with you?" Then He asked the father how long had he had the spirit, what does it do, and then commanded the spirit to come out. Before that, the father told Jesus, "If you can do anything, have compassion on us", Jesus told the father "if he could only believe, the father cried out, "Lord I believe, help my unbelief."

You see I don't believe the father of the boy believed in the power Jesus had given to the disciples. Therefore, his faith would not allow his son to be healed. But then when Jesus came, he still asked Him, "IF" He could do anything, he still lacked faith, but he asked Jesus to help his unbelief in that area.
Later when the disciples were alone with Jesus, they asked why they could not cast out the spirit. Jesus told them that this kind of spirit can only come out by prayer and fasting. What does prayer and fasting have to do with it, you might ask? It brings focus on the power of GOD working through you. When you pray and fast, you empty yourself of everything, and focus only on GOD. You fill yourself up with the the power of GOD .

Sometimes, the spirits stay in a person, because the host, the person they occupy, does not want them to leave. They are comfortable in the way they behave. They are lost and do not know any better. That is when you have to pray and fast for the person, that they will accept the Lord, and then pray the sprit out of them. When you pray evil spirits out of one, they will find another home. That is why Jesus sent them into the swine, and then they ran into the lake and drowned.

Mark 9 v 21-24.....So He asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, "From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us." Jesus said to him, "IF you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord I do believe; help my unbelief!"......

Mark 9 v 28-29....And when He had come into the house, HIs disciples asked Him privately, "Why could we not cast it out?" So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.".....

You see all it takes on our part is to believe. And when you are praying for something that takes the power of GOD to accomplish, remember to pray and fast, so as to empty yourself, and fill up on His power, and not your own.

Thank You Lord For Christian Friends

Do you ever just stop to thank the LORD for your Christian friends? I think we should have a day that is Christian Friend Day. A day when Christians come together and say, this is the day that the LORD has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it each time you see another Christian at school, or in the workplace, etc. Why should we as Christians be silent?

I was thinking about something yesterday, about how a lot of my co-workers bring their books to work to read on their break times and at lunch time. Then they share with each other the stories they are reading, and then they might share their books with each other. Why don't we as Christians bring our book to work with us, and share the stories out of there. Put a different cover over your book, then when someone asks what are you reading, share with them one of the thrilling stories from the word of GOD. Don't preach religion, just share the stories. Jesus used stories all through the gospels to teach his disciples. We can use those same great stories in a loving way like Jesus did.

I thank GOD for the Christian co-workers. One friend brought me in check yesterday, when I was getting caught up in my flesh, by something someone had said to me. She said, "you got your shield up, right?" That struck me like a baseball bat on the back of the head. It made me stop and realize who I was dealing with. I wasn't dealing with this person, I wasn't dealing with flesh and blood, but with the principalities of darkness. I was dealing with evil itself using this person as a vessel to get to me. I have been praying for this person, for joy to be put into their heart, and I have also been praying for the HOLY SPIRIT to run the evil spirits out of our hospital and out of our department.

Well, when you start praying against the spirits of darkness, you better be ready for battle. You better have your shield up, you better have your sword, you better have your full armor of GOD on, and it better fit right. You can't go off what someone else has a revelation of, you have to fight your own spiritual battles with the armor of GOD that fits you. In other words, you have to know what the word says about your problem. What GOD has spoken to you.

And then remember to pray for the vessel (the person) the enemy is using to get to you. They need your prayer most of all. They have no control over what the enemy does. But you have control, because Jesus has already defeated that enemy, you just need to put on your armor and walk in that VICTORY. AMEN!

I know we had this passage of scripture just lately, but I for one need it again this week.

Ephes. 6 10-19.....Finally my brethren, be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of GOD, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of GOD, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of GOD; praying always in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak......

When people call you names, and talk about you, or try to do things to hurt you, put up that shield of faith, and know that Jesus has already won this fight. You do not have to respond in likeness to that person. Your battle has already been won. The Victory is yours, if you will just let your faith in the LORD, take care of this battle. We sometimes want to fight our own battles, like we think Jesus can't handle it, or we can do a better job. Jesus says, all we have to do, is believe and then walk in love. If we will walk in love toward each other, all other battles will succomb to the power of the LORD. AMEN!

And when this scripture talks about speaking boldly, it is not telling you to boldly confront that person, it is telling you to speak boldly to those spirits. Know that you have the Victory, and tell those spirits to leave you alone and be gone in the name of JESUS. Don't let the enemy sit on your shoulder all day, fuming you up with the way the flesh would react, but knock him off and put him under your feet where he belongs, and stand tall in your VICTORY you have through Christ JESUS. AMEN!

Thank you my Christian Friend who helped me to see this yesterday. Thank you for reminding me who I am in Christ.

A Book Of Remembrance

We have all heard about the Lamb's Book of Life, but what about the book of Remembrance? God says He will remember those who fear Him, who meditate on Him. Which means to ponder Him, to think on Him, to Adore Him, to stay faithful to Him. Those who fear Him, means to keep Him holy, to obey Him, to keep His commandments.

When God remembers you, there is usually a blessing that follows or in the worse case scenario, a curse. He will remember you, and this passage of scripture tells us there is a book of remembrance. Now I am not saying that once you have asked for forgiveness and accepted the LORD Jesus that he will remember your sins, because Jesus says they are remembered no more. But, I am saying that GOD will remember those who have obeyed Him, and those who have not. Those who have turned their back on GOD, and do not fear Him. Those who do not serve Him.

Malachi 3 v 16-18.....Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of Remembrance was written before Him. For those who fear the LORD, and who meditates on His name. "They shall be Mine", says the LORD of hosts; on the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them, as a man spares hiis own son who serves him. Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.......

How will you be remembered? Let's look at the other book, the most important book, the Lamb's Book of Life.

Rev. 21 v 24-27....And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there.) And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life......

The scripture is talking about the New Jerusalem, where we will spend eternity with GOD the Father, and Jesus the Son of God our Savior. This is the book you most want your name in. You ask, how can I get my name in that book? It is simple.

First admit that you are a sinner, and that you need the LORD to forgive you. Confess your sins to Jesus, and ask for His forgiveness. Ask Him to come into your heart, and reside with you. Ask Him to be your Savior, then make Him Lord over your life. Believe in Him, that He is the only Son of GOD, and that He died on the cross for your sins, so that you might spend eternity with Him and the Father. Then turn from your old ways, and become a new man in Christ. Start following Him and His ways, and not the ways of the world. Ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit, and then listen to the Holy Spirit as He guides you through life. Obey, the LORD, walk in love towards your neighbor and you will do well.

This is how we should all want God to remember us. We want Him to say, Oh yes, your name is right here in my Son's book of Life. Enter into My kingdom and make yourself at home, for this is now your home, and I am proud to call you Mine. AMEN!

Do You Profess To Know God

How many times have you heard someone say, 'I don't go to church because of the
hypocrits.' We as Christians know that this is just another excuse. I am not saying there
are not hypocrits in church, but there are hypocrits everywhere you look, not just in
church. The hypocrits are in the bars, at the movies, playing golf, in the work place, in
the grocery store, in the schools, in the public offices, everywhere you go you will find
a hypocrit there. The very ones that say, they do not go to church because of the
hypocrits, is a hypocrit himself.

We need to as Christians, live the life of a Christian. It is very damaging when we
profess to be a Christian, (that would be a follower of CHRIST) and yet we go to places
that are not acceptable places for Christians to hang out, we use filthy language, we
join in with crude jokes, we look at things that are not appropriate. In other words if
it were not for us just saying we were a Christian, no one would be able to tell by the
way we live that we are a Christian.

Titus 1 v 15-16....To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and
unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess
to know GOD, but in works they deny HIM, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified
for every good work........

Titus 1 v 10....For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers
especially those of the circumcision......

The word is telling us here that just because we call ourselves Christians doesn't make
us one. Don't be one of the hypocrits in the church that the non-believers are talking
about. Don't just dress up for Sunday morning and go to church with your good attitude
and then live like the lost the rest of the week, going about cursing, swearing, telling
or listening to crude jokes, trying to fit in with the world instead of taking a stand
for CHRIST. Either you are for CHRIST or you are against CHRIST. Your heart will lead you
in the direction you are going, either toward following HIM, or following the world and
your actions will confirm which way you go.

Matthew 12 v 30....."He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather
with Me scatters abroad.".........

Jesus is telling you here, that either you are with Him and you are producing fruit, or
you are against Him, and living like the devil himself, and scattering His people instead
of bringing them in. We have to be so careful with how we conduct ourselves, and the
words that we use. Jesus tells us that we will be held accountable for every idle word
spoken. You may think when you say something against someone that you are just agreeing
or fitting in with the crowd, but in truth, Jesus hears you and you will be judged by
your words on the day of judgement. In other words, "keepeth thy mouth shut",
or if you do not have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. Remember each time
you open your mouth, you bring judgment on yourself. So if everyone else in the office is
talking about someone, walk away. Follow Christ, not the world. And when you mess up and
get caught up in the gossip, be quick to repent and ask for forgiveness, but do not
continue in the way of the world but, seek His word and fill your heart up with good
things, and not with the things of the world.

Matthew 12 v 36-37...."But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they
will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified,
and by your words you will be condemned."......

And then I leave you with this scripture telling you how to live.

Matthew 12 v 33-35....Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree
bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you,
being evil speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A
good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man
out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things."......

In other words if you are an apple tree you will produce apples, not oranges, likewise,
if you are a Christian you will live like one, if you are of this world you will live
like it. How do you live?

The Ten Commandments

God gave us these laws to live by. He said if you will observe these things which I have given you, it will go well with you. He said to keep them in your heart, teach them diligently to your children, talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. He said to bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between yur eyes. He said to write them on the doorposts of your house, and on your gates. He goes to great lengths to tell you to keep them in front of you at all times.

Deut. 6 v 6-8...".And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and sahll talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."........

Now, I have to ask, do you think He wanted them taken out of the schools, workplaces, courthouses? I am trying to understand what is so bad in the 10 commandments that we would have to take them out of the school, so that our children will not be taught such things???? Or why we would want to remove them from our workplaces, courthouses etc.????? There must really be something awful and immoral in those comandments that we would fight so hard to remove them.!!!!!! Well, lets take a look and just revisit the commandments GOD, Himself gave us to live by. This would be the GOD who created us.

Deut. 5 v 6-21......"I am the LORD your GOD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them, nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep my commandments. You shall not take the name of the LORD your GOD in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the LORD your GOD commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your GOD. In it you shall do no work; you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God, brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the LORD your GOD commanded you to keep the Sabbath day. Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your GOD has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the LORD your GOD is giving you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife; and you shall not desire your neighbor's house, his field, his male servant, his female servant, his ox, his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's......

Then Jesus told us the greatest of these is to love your GOD with all your heart, your mind and your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. These are the two greatest commandments. You see if you follow these two the rest will fall into place.

Did you notice how much time was spent on telling you to observe the Sabbath and to keep it holy? Do you think God was doing all that talking just to hear Himself speak? Do you think that He would have wasted time on telling you something that was not important? This is a day to spend with your family, worshiping the LORD, and resting in His presence. Not going out to eat, (therefore causing someone else to have to work), nor going shopping, or to the movies. All these things cause someone else to have to work. There was a time when there was no where open on Sundays. How far will we move away from the commandments of GOD? Oh let me see, now we are saying it is ok to murder! That's right, when we say abortion is ok, we are saying it is ok to murder. Hmmmm, I wonder if GOD would say that is ok???? What about trying to compete with the neighbors, everything they have we have to have bigger or better??

In other words, we have strayed so far away from the commandments God has given us, that we can't seem to discern what is right or wrong anymore. What is acceptable or not. We go to great lengths to make the word of GOD fit our lifestyles today, and believe that this is right. I do not believe that GOD had in mind, (and He does know all things still today, He is not stuck in some history book, that He is no more, He is still GOD today) that we could change His words to fit us today.

I believe He still means for us to love Him with all our heart, and to worship Him only, to love our neighbors, to not use His name in vain, to not steal, murder, covet, to keep His Sabbath day holy, to honor our mothers and fathers, to not commit adultery, and to have no other gods before Him.

Maybe it is just me, but did you see anything in those commandments that was so awful to teach to your children? Was there anything so awful there, that we would not want to publicly display them for all to see? Is there a better way for people to live, than to live by GOD's commandments? I just don't see how we think we make this world better by removing God's commands on how we are to live. We as Christians are just as guilty of not keeping His statutes. What can we do to change this? What can we do to make sure we keep ALL of His commandments? Not just the ones we pick and choose to keep.

The Enemy Whisperer

Our pastor used a good analogy at church yesterday, and I wanted to share it in the tid-bits this morning. I am sure you have watched or heard of the show the dog whisperer before. And when Ceasar (the dog whisperer) is rehabilitating a dog, he will correct them with a quick psssst. Well, that is sort of how the enemy does us. When we read the word of God and we get all excited about His promises, and what He says we can have, and what we do have, then the enemy will come along, and tell you a lie, like that is not for today, or you have this sickness or that. In other words he says psssst, and we cower down and start doubting in our hearts the truth of the word of GOD.

The devil is a liar and the father of all lies. Do not be confused by his lies. Do not let him put doubt in your heart, and do not let him steal the word from you.

John 8 v 44b.....He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it......

We have to be like Paul was talking about in 1 Timothy when he said we must fight the good fight of faith. We have to stand strong and not listen to that pssst the devil tries to change our thoughts with. We have to know the truth, the word of God and we need to have our full armor on. And when we stand, we stand with all boldness and assurance that Christ left with us knowing that He lives in us, and we can fight whatever battle the enemy tries to throw at us.

You may think just because you are saved that now you are safe from the enemy trying to attack you, but just the opposite is true. He will try his best to get you down, so that you will not bring others to Christ. He tries his best to keep the good news from spreading, we must do our best to keep it going. Don't cower down, you are the head, the enemy is under your feet, Jesus has already defeated him, don't let him put you down, you have authority over the enemy. AMEN!

1 Timothy 6 v 12......Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.......

The word does not tell us that no weapons will form against us, it tells us that no weapons formed against us will prosper. We will have to fight our battles, but we have all we need to fight with and to have victory, if we first prepare ourselves as it tells us in Ephes. 6.

Isaiah 54 v 17...."No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from ME", says the LORD.....

You have the authority when the doctor or someone tries to tell you, you are sick, to rebuke that judgment that is spoken against you, and say that is not what the word of GOD says, and what the LORD says I am. AMEN! We have the authority of Christ in us, to keep that weapon (sickness, poverty, etc.) from prospering. AMEN!

Ephes. 6 v 13-17....Therefore take up the whole armor of GOD, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of GOD;.......

Notice the word says your shield will protect you against ALL the fiery darts of the devil, not just some, not just this one or that one, but ALL the darts (the trials) he tries to throw at you.

Ephes. 6 v 10-11.....Finally, my brethren, be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of GOD, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.....

Open the word of GOD, and fill up on His truth, and give Him praise, and then stand firm on His truth and not the lies of the enemy. Don't listen to that pssst. Listen to what the LORD your GOD is telling you. And when you have built your shield of faith with His word, then start your day, and walk out your front door with the assurance you have in Christ JESUS. AMEN!

God Will Answer You

God will answer you when you pray to Him. His answer may not always be what you want to hear, but His answer will always be what is best for you at the time. God is a good God, He is just, and merciful, compassionate, and generous. He knows your every need. He promises you in His word that He will provide. He will not give you more than you can handle. So if you are praying to win the lottery, but you do not even yet know how to tithe and give back into His kingdom, or you can not manage the little bit that you are earning, He is most likely not going to answer that prayer.

If you need healing in your body, then you need to pray in faith and believe in what you are praying. Don't just throw empty words out into the air. Put faith and belief in those words and God will hear them. And if you are sick and need healing, don't just whisper it to the LORD. SHOUT that enemy right out of your body. COMMAND that enemy to leave you in the name of JESUS. Don't be shy about it. The enemy knows where you are weak and he will attack you there every time. Remember you are the head and not the tail, you have the same healing power as JESUS. USE IT!

If the enemy is trying to steal your finances, ask GOD to remember you and your faithfulness to obeying Him in your tithing, and call on His promises in Malachi 3 v 8-12, and ask Him to rebuke the enemy from stealing your finances. AMEN!

PS 102 v 17....He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, and shall not despise their prayer.....

James 5 v 15....And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the LORD will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven....

Ephes. 6 v 18......praying always with all prayer and supplication in the SPIRIT, being watchful to this end with all preserverance and supplication for all the saints....

Heb. 4 v 16....Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.....

And when you pray, remember to pray for His will to be done in your life, and not your own will. When you change your prayer life to pray for His will, and quit praying just for your wants in life, then you will notice the change in your blessings. You will notice the desires of your heart changing, and you will begin to recieve not only your prayers being answered but also the desires of your heart be poured out to you from Him as well. AMEN!

Are You Still Doing Without

Are you still struggling to get by? Do you feel like everytime you start to get a little extra, something comes up and steals it away? Well then, let me ask you this. Are you living by Malachi 3 v 8-12?

Malachi3 v 8-12...."Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," says the LORD of hosts; And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land," says the LORD of hosts.....

Do you see what God is telling you. If you will give your tithes and your offerings, He will give you more than enough. He will give you so much that you will not have room enough to contain all the blessings He has for you. But don't just stop there, He also tells you that He will protect your investments. He will rebuke the devourer and will not let the enemy steal or destroy the fruits of your labor. What are fruits? Your fruits are what you reap when you sow. If you sow money, then you will reap in your finances, if you sow kindness, you will reap in kindness from others. You can not have fruits if you have not sown anything. A tree or plant does not grow without a seed. First you have to sow the seed. It's a simple fact.

God says bring the tithes into the storehouse, (ministries) so that there might be food in My house. He is talking about His word being able to go and to reach others. You think the churches want your money. Then keep your money. It will not do you any good to give, if that is the heart you give with. God does not need your money, He will open a way to get His word out. God is trying to tell you, that if you partner with Him, by giving your tithes into your local church and your offerings into the mission fields and other ministries, then you are in fact helping His people get His word out so that all can be saved. You are sowing on fertile ground when you partner up with God. You will reap the benefits. He says so in His word, and He is not a man that He should lie.

God is trying to spell it out for you here. That if you help Him in reaching His people, and bringing the knowledge of His word to all the ends of the earth by doing your small part, then He will see that you reap the benefits. This is the only place in His word, that He tells you to test Him. It is like He is saying, " I double dog dare you to do this". Don't just give so that you can have what you want, give with the right heart, really get excited about being a partner with GOD and helping Him with His mission, to reach the lost.

Let Malachi 3 v 8-12 become your favorite scripture passage and get excited about working for the LORD. If you have been asking GOD, 'what can I do for you LORD?' then here is your answer. Help Him to grow His kingdom, by sowing good seed into fertile ground.

Then prepare to be overtaken with His blessings. But don't give once or twice and when you do not see any fruit right away, quit. That is a sure sign that you are giving with the wrong heart. Don't give for yourself, give for HIM. A pecan tree takes 7 years to produce fruit. Don't give in to the enemy. God will come through for you. AMEN!

I Believe, Do You

John 14 v 12-13....."Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."......

That says it all, right there. Jesus says whatever you ask, He says ANYTHING, not just this or that, but ANYTHING you ask in His name He will do it. He also tells us that greater works than He did, we will do. Well, you say, what about raising someone from the dead, like He did with Lazarus, and others? There are reports from missionaries of this, and have you ever watched Andrew Womack, he tells how he watched his own son raised from the dead. Now some of you skeptics out there are saying, oh I don't believe that. Well, that is ok, that is where your belief level is in the word of GOD. But I believe every written word of GOD, not just the ones that are chosen for me to believe, but EVERY word.

That is why some people walk around with their sickness and illnesses, because they can not believe what the word of GOD says, because it goes against the logic of man and what the world tells them. We all have the same faith level, we have all been given the ability to have faith. Jesus says, if you only have the faith as of a grain of a mustard seed, but then here is the important part, and believe in whatsoever you ask it shall be done.

You see there are plenty of men and women of faith walking around sick, because they have not gotten the other part of that scripture. BELIEVE.

Matthew 17 v 17-20....Then Jesus answered and said; "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me." And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain; 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."..............

Do you see what He said? NOTHING, will be impossible. Did He say, you have to have this GREAT BIG FAITH? NO! He said faith as a mustard seed. What makes it work? To BELIEVE in what HE tells you. To not have any doubt in your heart. But to truly believe the word of GOD and what JESUS tells us. AMEN!

How do I get to this point you might ask? Quit letting the world feed you, and get into the word of GOD and let Him feed you daily the words to put into your heart. Quit watching all that junk on TV, or the computer, and get the word of GOD out, dust the dust off of it, and really seek Him and what He has to say. I am telling you, somone out there today is needing this message and I am being as clear as I can be with the message today. Watch what you are feeding yourself. You say you want to believe, then start listening to GOD and the HOLY SPIRIT and what He is trying to tell you. Seek your answers from the LORD, and what Jesus says in His word. If you never get to any other part of the Bible, go to JOHN and see what JESUS is telling you. Then Believe!

Praise The Lord Jesus

PS 103 v 1-5....Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not His benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's......

Do you have a reason to praise the LORD today? Well, let's think about it. Did you wake up this morning? Did you take a breath today? Then you have a reason to praise the LORD. Do you have your health, your eye sight, your hearing, a sense of smell, can you move all your body parts? How many things do we take for granted everyday, that we do not stop to praise the LORD for? Look at your spouse, your children, and praise the LORD for them.

But then most importantly, Praise Him just because you Love HIM. Does He have to give you something big, or expensive for you to think to praise Him? Does He have to do something spectacular for you to praise Him?

We should wake up in the morning praising Him, no matter how we feel. If you start praising the Lord, you will most assuredly feel better. We should praise Him throughout the day, we should sing His praises in our hearts all day long. Praise Him before we go to sleep at night for another day and all His goodness that surrounds us.

There are no secret methods here as to how to praise the LORD, or as to how you can receive His joy. Just start singing His praises in your heart and with your mouth and you shall have JOY. AMEN!

PRAISE THE LORD! Let's love on Him for a change. Let's show HIM our love and not just the other way around. I will say it again. PRAISE THE LORD!!

Have You Been Overtaken Lately

Deuteronomy 28 is one of my favorite passages of scripture. Why? Because God tells us all the blessings we will have if we obey Him, and you can find all the curses in the latter part of that chapter, and know that Jesus died for all curses, so everything you find in the curses, you have been redeemed from.

When the world and the economy try to bring you down, look back at the blessings and ask God to remember you when you obeyed Him. And you will know longer fret over the economy. And when you feel like the curses are coming your way, remember what the word of God tells us in Galatians, and know that they are not for you. AMEN!

Galatians 3 v 13-14....Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.....

Galatians 5 v 1....Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.....

Colossians 1 v 13-14......He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins....

So no matter what the darkness of this world looks like, know that you as a child of Christ have been redeemed from it. It shall not overtake you. But the goodness of the LORD, and the blessings of Abraham shall OVERTAKE you. When someone tries to bless you, don't refuse their gifts, as when you do, you are stealing their blessings. Remember we reap what we sow. When someone tries to sow something into your life, accept it and remember to pay forward with blessings. Bless when you can and your blessings will come. Let the blessings of Abraham overtake you. When others are moaning about the economy, do not fret, for the LORD your GOD says, He will provide all of your needs and the desires of your heart. AMEN!

Remember when the world shuts a door, God opens a window. He will always provide a way out for you. He will always give you a better option. He has big plans for you, plans for you to prosper. AMEN!

Now, go read all the blessings He has for you in Deuteronomy 28.

We Never Know When Seeds Will Grow

When we go through out our lives each day planting seeds for the kingdom of God, we never know when one may grow. We have no idea who might be the person to come behind us and reap that which we had sown maybe just yesterday, maybe twenty years before. We can not grow weary in our sowing just because we may not see immediate results. I myself, was not an immediate result. There were a lot of seeds sown in my life, many many years before I became a Christian. There were quite a few people who tossed me off as a lost cause, but then there were the true diligent Christians who knew that Jesus would have His way with me. They stayed faithful to praying for me each day. I am so glad that they did not give up on me, and I know it is because of their faith they knew Jesus would not give up on me. People who just meet me now, think, 'oh you could never have been bad', some are not ready to hear my story, and some need to hear my story to know that they themselves can have the same JOY I have, and that they are not a lost cause. They may be lost, but they can find their way in Jesus, just like I did. AMEN!

Jesus tells us to keep sowing, that we will reap that which we have not labored, but where others have gone before us and labored.

John 4 v 37-38....".For in this the saying is true. 'One sows and another reaps.' I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.".......

We do not know where someone may have planted a seed, and then we come along and water it, or nourish it with love and compassion, and the word of GOD. You never know when there might be a tiny seed trying to break through that tough, hardened ground. All it needs is a little crack in the surface to spring forth, toward the light so that it might grow to be a strong tree. We all need the light to grow. No matter how long we have been saved, no matter how studied we might be in the word, without the LIGHT we will die. Keep gently tilling the soil with fervent prayer for that person and the seed will find it's way to the surface. Amen!

When we go outside into the sun, we absorb vitamins from the sun, mostly absorbed through our eyes. This is the vitamins that help us to keep our seritonin levels up, so that we do not get depressed. They say the eyes are the window to your soul. The same is true with the SON, we receive the light we need to stay alive, and full of JOY, and know where to find peace and comfort when darkness or depression try to overtake us. That which is down in our souls comes forth and gives us comfort. AMEN.

John 14 v 26-27...."But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."....

Remember, the Light is within you, don't hide it, don't cover the light. Let it shine through you and in you. And let it shine on others so that those hidden seeds might spring forth. Just like the pretty bulbs bloom in the Spring, watch and see what comes forth from your sowing and reaping.

Who Or What Influences Your Mood

How is your mood influenced by others. Do you take on their attitudes or their feelings when you are around them alot? Do you start behaving like the people you are around the most? It is said that we are just like the people that we are around the most. Who or What are you around the most? Are you around negative people, are you around people who are constantly complaining, or you around people who are constantly sick, or are you around upbeat people, people who smile alot, people who are generous, fun, giving, healthy, joyful, spiritual, positive? I don't know about you, but I would much rather fall into that latter category. I have been around negative, sickly, frowning, angry people, and I have to tell you, it wears you out.

We as Christians should be like the generous, fun, giving, healthy, joyful, spiritual, positive people. We have no reasons to be the other group of people. Christ did not die on that cross, so we could walk around claiming everything on ourselves that He already took care of. Once we became Christians we took His DNA and now we should mirror Him and not the world. We now have been washed with purification of all that other stuff. I have said it before, don't go dumpster diving after illnesses, poor finances, miserable moods, anger, jealousy, things of your past. Those things have been thrown away, never to be brought up to you again. Leave them in the dumpster. This is one time where another mans' trash is NOT your treasure. Your treasure came down off that cross and redeemed you, He made propitiation for all of you.

1 JOHN 2 v 1-2.....My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but for the whole world.....

1 JOHN 2 v 5-6....But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked....

'propitiation'---greek verb hilaskomai.....meaning 1) "to placate" or "to appease"; 2) "to be propitious and merciful", 3) "to make propitiation for someone"...

He took care of your trash once and for all. So don't start hanging around with the wrong group of people, the type that will bring you down. The word tells us that if we abide in Him, we should also walk like Him, not like those of the world.

How are you spending your time? Are you meditating on Christ and the things of Christ, or are you meditating on things of the world, watching programs on tv that you ought not watch, listening to music that you should not listen to, reading books that fill your mind with wrong thinking, staying on the computer looking at things you have no business looking at. Here is a simple, worn out question but still the most effective way to know if what you are doing is right or not, "What would Jesus do, or better yet, what would Jesus say about what you are doing, about what you are speaking, about what you are thinking? If you are not sure, look in His word, and see what the word says about it.

If your mood does not bring you joy, then you need to look around at your circumstances, your surroundings, your friends, and you need to change where you are spending your time. Yes there are some who have to work around negative people, but you have to be influenced by Christ and not by them. You have to be filled up on the word of GOD so that their mood can not penetrate the wall of your heart and change you. Remember to pray yourself up everyday before you start your day. Pray for protection from evil, and from the things of the world that might influence you in a wrong, negative way.

PS 28 v 7....The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped....

PS 91 v 4....He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.....

Where do you draw your strength, who does your heart trust? Whose protection do you covet? Who determines your mood each day? Who are you most influenced by?

We Can All Be A Gideon

Do you remember the story of Gideon. The son of Joash. Remember how when the Midianites were coming against them, Gideon went into the winepress to thresh the wheat to hide it from the Midianites. The Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!"

Gideon was astonished at this saying because he did not see himself as a mighty man of valor but as a small stature man, possibly even afraid of his own shadow. His self confidence is not very good as we see when we read on where he tells the Angel of the LORD that his clan is the weakest of all clans, and he is the least in his fathers' house. How many times do you suppose he heard those words spoken about him? How many times do you think someone said oh those Abiezrites, they are weak, what can they do for the rest of us? Little did they know that God had a plan for a man named Gideon.

Judges 6 v 12...And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!"....

Judges 6 v 14...Then the LORD turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?".....

Judges 6 v 15....So he said to Him, "O my LORD, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house."....

Judges 6 v 16....and the LORD said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.".....

God makes a promise and He doesn't break it. If GOD brings you to something, He will bring you through it. His people could never grasp that. No matter what He did. He brought them out of Egypt, He told them He would bring them to a land of milk and honey, but yet after all the miracles along the way, they still complained and murmured against God. Only two ended up crossing over into the promise land, and that was Joshua and Caleb. Why? Because of lack of faith in what God said the others wandered in the wilderness for forty years. But not so with Joshua and Caleb.

Just like Joshua and Caleb, believing that God would deliver them from their enemy, but all the others saw giants and were afraid. They saw the enemy being much larger than them, and then that was all they could see. But not so with Joshua and Caleb, they saw what the LORD had promised them, Victory.

It is the same with us today, we can all be Gideons, Joshuas, and Calebs. We have it in us. God did not give us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of the LORD is within us. We have the power of the LORD to fight our enemies, (our problems, ours illnesses, etc.) We can each be a Gideon, a mighty man of valor. We just have to believe and receive. AMEN!

Are You A Balaam

Does God have to tell you over and over what He wants you to do, or where He wants you to go? Do you keep asking God over and over for the same thing, after He has already given you an answer? In Numbers, we see that everytime Balak asks Balaam to curse Israel, Balaam says let me go and meet with my God and see what He would have me do. Everytime God tells him no, that He has blessed Israel. But yet when Balak asks him to curse them, he goes back to God again, as if God is going to change His mind about what He has already told him, just because Balak wants them cursed.

We do the same thing when we go to God over and over again for the same healing or the same blessing that God has already told us in His word over and over again that we are healed by the stripes and blood of His Son Jesus. We have the blessings of Abraham our father. We read it in His word, we read His promises to us, but yet we look at or listen to circumstances around us, and then we start pleading with God to do what He has already done.

Numbers 23 v 19.....God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?......

In other words, if God said it you can take Him for His word. Have you ever made a deal with someone you trusted, and just took them at their word that they would do something. How much more so then can you trust God with His word and believe that what He says He will do. AMEN!

If there is something in your life that you keep going to God about, look in His word and see what the final answer is. See what He says about it. He will not change His mind. Find it in the word, and then believe Him and not what the world is trying to tell you. AMEN!

The same with anything that you may be doing, that you know is not right. Look in the word, if God says it is wrong, it is still wrong today. If He says, do not murder, then do not murder, if He says to keep the Sabbath Holy, then it is still to be done today, if He says, do not covet, then do not covet. He is a better parent than we are. We sometimes tell our children something and then let them wear us down with their pleading and begging and puppy dog eyes, but God is not influenced by man. If He says NO, then He means NO, if He says Yes, then He means YES! AMEN!

Do You Know The Truth

Yesterday at church we had a lesson about the truth. You might say 'what truth'? The truth that sets you free. We know the scripture where Jesus tells us, I am the way, the truth and the life.

John 14 v 6....Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.".........

Earlier in John 8, Jesus told His disciples, "before Abraham was, I AM." And then before that, was the story of the woman being caught in the act of adultery, and Jesus told the people, he who is without sin cast the first stone. Everyone dropped their stones, He asked the woman where are your accusers, and she answered, I have none, and He told her, neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more. You see the truth had set her free. He is the truth.

John 8 31-32.....Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
We read in 2 Timothy where Paul tells us to always preach the word, the truth in season and out of season. In other words, whether it is the right timing or not, do not compromise the word. Do not try to make the word fit your needs or the needs of others. Preach the truth.

2 Tim. 4 v 1-4...I charge you therefore before God and the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the TRUTH, and be turned aside to fables.....

In other words, people will hear what they want to hear. They will take the word and try to make what they are doing ok. You will see more and more self started religions, like the teaching you see on Oprah, that what ever makes you feel good is ok. That is false doctrine. Some will get mad at you when you speak the truth over what they want to hear. But I will not compromise the word of God just to make someone feel good. If you are in sin, then you are in sin, I can only tell you out of love for you what the word says about it. I will do you no favors by trying to make the word mean what you need it to mean. The word is love, and it is the light for those who are lost. Don't be blind sighted by false doctrines. You tell me, who is your true friend, the one who says do whatever makes you feel good, and you will live a good life, but then when it is over it is over, or the one who tells you, live your life like God's word says to live, and you will have eternal life with Him one day, a life where there are no more tears, but only JOY and happiness. Yes, you may have to endure some suffering here on earth. But no one ever said life was going to be a bowl of cherries all of the time. But the LORD says to endure, and in the end you will have the Victory.

John 1 v 1-4.....In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men......
The Word being the Truth, the Truth being the LORD, the LORD being GOD Himself. And that my friends is the Truth.

What Does Tomorrow Hold

When we wake up in the morning, we go through our routines of getting ready for the day, not thinking of anything but the norm for whatever the day has in store for us. We go to work or school or wherever, and we do not think for a moment that this may be our last day. However for some it will be. When we leave for the day and kiss our children or our spouse good-bye. We do not think this is the last time I will kiss you. We do not think that this really is good-bye until we meet again in Heaven. Yet for some it will be.

We should live each day as if Jesus was coming for us tomorrow. Maybe not for all of us, but maybe just each person himself. We can not worry about what tomorrow holds for us. We should live as if we only have today. Be kind, compassionate, loving toward each other. Not just to our loved ones but to everyone. That is the lesson Jesus is trying to teach us. The same lesson He tried to teach His disciples while He was here on earth with them. It is called love. It is the greatest commandment. To love your God with all your heart mind and soul, and then the second is the same, to love your neighbor the same. Who is your neighbor? Everyone. To truly love someone with the love Jesus has for us is not always easy. But it is not a suggestion, it is a commandment from GOD Himself.

We are not always lovable, sometimes we may not even be likeable, but Jesus loved us anyway. We are to do the same. Don't let the sun go down without telling someone you love them, don't let the sun go down without helping someone besides yourself that day. Don't let the sun go down without sharing the love of Christ with at least one person.

Romans 14 v 7-8......For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the LORD, and if we die, we die to the LORD. Therefore, whether we live or die; we are the LORD's.......

Our thoughts and prayers are with our friend today as she mourns the loss of her husband. Who just like the rest of us, just got up that morning went to work, and then had an accident on the way home. She didn't know that she would not tell her husband good night that night, when she left for work that day. Nor do you know that you will be given a second chance or another opportunity to tell someone you love them.

Live like Christians, Live like Christ lives in you, love others like Christ loves you. Don't let the world steal your joy. Don't let the world influence how you live. Let Christ who lives in you, be your greatest influence. AMEN!

Getting Called On The Carpet

How many have heard that expression? It is usually when we have done something wrong, or when we have opened our mouths when we shouldn't have, and then we get confronted with it. There was a time in the bible that stands out in my mind where God called a couple of people out on the carpet. It was in Numbers where Miriam and Aaron are grumbling against Moses. They are beginning to get jealous of him being the leader and so they try to find some fault in him. The only thing they can come up with is that he married an Ethiopian woman, who was of a different culture than him, maybe even a different color than him. Well, guess who hears them? You would think they know by now that GOD is everywhere all the time, and hears all things.??? Who are we to judge someone's choice of mate, because of culture, race, or whatever other reasons? So God calls a meeting with the three of them, Moses and his sister and brother, Miriam and Aaron.

Numbers 12 v 1.....Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman....

Numbers 12 v 4....Suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, "Come out you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!" So the three came out.....

Numbers 12 v 6-8....."Hear now My words. If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face. Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?"......

Numbers 12 v 9....So the anger of the LORD was aroused against them, and He departed....

WOW!, I for one would not want to feel the LORD's anger against me, and I certainly would not want to be called out on the carpet by Him because I was talking about one of His servants. And not just any one of His servants but His favorite. The lesson to be learned here, is that when you speak against other people you arouse the anger of God against you. You never know what sort of relationship the person you are talking about has with GOD. That is probably where the other lesson comes in where 'if you do not have anything nice to say, do not say anything at all'.

The story goes on to tell us that God struck Miriam with leprosy and was going to let her die, but Moses pleaded with Him for her to live and be cleansed. The reason for singling out Miriam suggests that maybe she was the instigator of the talk. However the point is. Keep Thou Mouth Shut. Don't go around instigating and talking about other people, unless you are ready to deal with God's wrath. AMEN!

Are You Grieving The Holy Spirit

The word tells us we are not to grieve the Holy Spirit. We are not to continue in something that He has told us to let go of. How many of us at some time have held a grudge against someone else. Well, you have to let it go. Do you realize how much JOY you are missing out on by holding on to a grudge. Do you know how much forgiveness you are missing out on. The word is clear about forgiveness.

The LORD says in Mark 11 v 25-26 ....And whenever you stand praying if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.......

I don't know about you, but I want total forgiveness from my Father in heaven. I certainly do not want to grieve the HOLY SPIRIT. You may ask how do I not do these things and how can I be the type of person who is pleasing to the Father? Glad you asked.

Ephes. 4 v 25-32.......Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another. "Be angry and do not sin," do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as GOD in Christ forgave you......

Ephes. 5 v 8-10.....For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the LORD. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the SPIRIT is in all goodness, righteousness and truth, finding out what is acceptable to the LORD......

And if you have not found the light yet, I invite you to seek the LORD JESUS and come to know HIM as your personal SAVIOR and you too can walk in the light. You too can be forgiven anything, You too can have the PEACE and JOY that comes with being a child of GOD.

Ephes. 5 v 14.....Therefore He says, "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light."...

Remember we are not perfect as Christians, we will make mistakes, so do not put us on a pedestal. But with those mistakes comes forgiveness and understanding from the LORD, and we learn from them, and we do not continue to make the same mistakes. When we read GOD's word we are given wisdom in how we are to correct our actions and God shows us how to turn from our sins and live for HIM. Once we truly start living for HIM, we do not continue in the same sin day after day. We become a new man in CHRIST, and we totally change. (Just ask anyone who knew me before I met Christ). Trust me, you become NEW! AMEN!

It Took A Crucifixion

While reading in Luke Chapter 22, we read where Judas brought the soldiers to capture Jesus. And where one of the followers drew his sword and cut off the guys ear. What did Jesus do? He put his ear back on and healed him right there on the spot. Now I don't know about you, but I think if I were that guy, and Jesus just put my ear back on and healed it, I would have to cross over to His side. I mean you tell me, what does it take?

Luke 22 v 49-51.....When those around Him saw what was going to happen, they said to Him, "Lord, shall we strike with a sword?" And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. But Jesus answered and said, "Permit even this." And He touched his ear and healed him.......

Well, for these it took a crucifixion. It took them humiliating, beating and hanging Jesus on a cross, and then some still didn't believe and to this day, some still do not believe. Even Peter denied Jesus when the chips were down. After having been with Him all this time, seeing all His miracles, and all of His good works, he still was afraid when the people accused him of being one of Jesus' followers.

What keeps us from sharing our faith with others? What makes us afraid to speak out about our Savior? What does it take for us to be bold about our Savior? We can go to a good sale on something and get so excited and tell everybody about it, and before you know it we have several more people going to buy the same pair of shoes just because it is such a good deal.

What better deal is there than the real deal, Jesus. I mean it doesn't cost you a thing. You get it all when you come to Him. You get more love than you can imagine, more joy than you will ever get from anyone, or anywhere else, and salvation to live forever with Him and the Father. You tell me, where is there a better deal than this? Why do we then have such a hard time sharing Him with others? Why do we have such a hard time saying His name when we are in public around others? But then in the privacy of our home, or at church where we feel it is ok to talk about Him we confess His name and even call on His name for help.

What will it take to bring us to the point that we do not care who hears us praying, who hears us calling out His name, who hears us worshiping and praising HIM? Does it take Him being crucified all over again. Every time we deny Him in front of others, it is the same as us taking that crown of thorns and pressing it down just a little harder on His head. Or taking that sword and piercing His heart one more time. Or being one of those in the crowd spitting in His face.

What will it take for us to stand up and be proud of our Savior, our King, our Lord? Are we such a proud people that we can not even take a little humiliation for HIM? After all look what He suffered for us!

Don't Get Nipped In the Bud

Have you heard the saying, "nip it in the bud"? Do you see some of the bulbs blooming, the trees trying to bud out with flowers, only to have this freeze we are getting, to come along and 'nip the buds'? Everything started blooming with the warm weather, and some just are budding. But then comes the freeze and it stops the flowering in its tracks. Fruit growers are very concerned with weather for this very reason. A freeze can nip the buds and then they will never produce fruit.

Are you that type of Christian? Have you been nipped in the bud? I mean just as you started believing in the LORD, or after a revival maybe you are all on fire for the LORD, ready to spread the good news only to get 'nipped in the bud' by some non-believers. When you get stopped in your tracks like that, it is the same with the fruit trees getting nipped by the freeze, you will never set your fruit. You may have been ready to go and share the gospel with others only to be stopped, and then your seeds never got sown, therefore no fruit. How many lives do you suppose are affected by new Christians, or even seasoned Christians getting nipped in the bud just before sharing a testimony with someone, or sharing the good things God has done for them, because they are afraid it might not be politically correct?

Who gets to decide what is politically correct? You, your boss, your co-workers? I just say that we should do what is Biblically correct and we can't go wrong. AMEN!

2 Tim. 2 v 15-16......Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.....

Don't get nipped in the bud. Share the good news with those around you. Share what the LORD has done for you. Share your joy with others. There is nothing politically incorrect about sharing your joy with others.

Let your fruit set, and be abundant at harvest time. AMEN!
