Fill er Up

Have you been so full of the Holy Spirit that you just walk through the day with all the cares of the world just rolling off your back like water off a ducks back? If you have not ever had a day like this, now is the time. You need to ask the Holy Spirit to fill you up, when you first get out of bed. Ask Him to fill you so full that the things of the world have no place to enter. Not into your mind, your health, your spirit. Then if you feel a little leaking out during the day, and things trying to sneak in, stop and ask Him to fill er up again. It's free. It doesn't change like the gas prices or the economy. It is always free for the asking. All it takes from you is acceptance. AMEN!

When you are filled with the Spirit during the day, your day goes alot easier. You have more kindness and patience with people. You may say, how can I get filled with the Spirit? It is all about being in the word of GOD, and opening yourself up to all His promises and His gifts to you. It is all about faith in what GOD says you can have instead of what the world tells you.
Some religions teach that being filled with the Spirit was temporary. Well, does the word not tell us that when we become Christians we are the same as Christ. Because Christ lives in us? Well, Christ was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Luke 4 v 1.....Then Jesus being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness........

One of the most used statements by these same people is "we are in Christ", well if the Holy Spirit is in Christ, then the Holy Spirit is within us. Jesus says in

Luke 18-19...."The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me; because he has annointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.".....

Jesus being filled with the Holy Spirit went about healing and proclaiming the word of God. He was a man when He walked on this earth. He came down to this earth as a man like you and me. But He was filled with the Holy Spirit and that is how He went about healing and performing miracles, doing the work of His Father.

So when He tells us we can do the same, (and that is what the word tells us) then why do we have a problem believing in miracles today? Why do we have a problem believing in the gift of tongues? Jesus tells us that He leaves us with these gifts and greater things will we do than He did while here on earth with us.

Mark 16 v 17....And these signs will follow those who beleive: in My name they shall cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them, they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover......

John 14 v 12-14....."Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."......

Then He tells you that you will receive another helper when He leaves to go to His Father in heaven. The Spirit of truth. Who is the Spirit of truth. Well, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. So the Spirit is the Holy Spirit of God.

John 14 v 6.....Jesus said to him; "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.".....

John 14 v 16...."And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-----The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you"......

Did you catch those words of Jesus. He said the Spirit will dwell in us FOREVER..... Not just in the days Jesus was on earth. He was leaving the earth and leaving the Spirit with us. Us being believers......So there you have it, there is no way you can say any longer that the miracles and tongues and the things of the Spirit are no longer. It would be contradicting the word of GOD. And actually the very words of Jesus Himself. AMEN!

So get up this morning and pray the HOLY SPIRIT fill you up to overflowing, so that the world can not enter into your spirit. AMEN!

Watch What We Hear

The same is true that Faith comes by hearing, so does unbelief. What we listen to and feed into our spirits is what we teach ourselves to be true. If we constantly hear something, eventually we start repeating it and then we start believing it. If what we listen to on the radio, or television is negative then we will become just as negative. If all we hear is there is no cure for this or that, then we start repeating it, and believing it. When the word of GOD says there is a cure. His name is Jesus. AMEN!

Exodus 24 v 7.....Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, "All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient."....

You notice the word says that Moses took the Book of the Covenant and read in the HEARING of the people. Why? So that they would hear the word of GOD. WHY? Because faith comes from HEARING. That is why I tell you to read the word out loud so that you can HEAR God speaking to you. AMEN!

Rom. 10 v 17.....So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD........

That is why I can not stress enough how important it is to not only keep the word in front of you and to be under the teaching of a good bible teaching, pastor, so that you are constantly hearing the truth and not just the lies of the world. If you do not attend church or you do not get into the word of GOD daily, then whatever the world throws at you will stick like flies on fly-paper. You are going to believe something, and it is going to be what you hear the most. So why not choose to let that be the truth. Why not choose to put GOD's word first in your mind, heart and your very being.

If you want to be healthy and not sick, read scriptures out loud to yourself on what GOD says about sickness and disease. He says, Jesus died for them all. Not just some of them, but all of them. If you need help in your finances, see what GOD says about being a good steward over your money, and how you sow a seed to what you need. In other words if you do not tithe like the word says, there are no seeds planted. You can not grow anything without first a seed being planted.

Only God could create something from nothing. We do not have that capability. So if there are never any seeds planted in you about healing, you probably won't receive your healing. If you have not planted seeds toward helping others then you will have a lack in your life. If you plant a bad seed, you will get bad fruit. It is a fact. So if all you watch on TV is fighting, cussing, adultery, fornication, people dying with diseases that they say have no cure, then that is what you shall reap. You are sowing that into your spirit. What goes in must come out. Just like if you throw a ball up in the air it will fall down. It is a fact. The same is true here. What you put into yourself will come out. Just like what you eat, will come out. The same is true. When you feed yourself bad food, you are going to get sick. Who would deliberately eat a rotten apple; Yet when you watch those things on TV or listen to negative people talk you might as well take a bite out of that rotten apple. AMEN!

Are you seeing the truth now? Are you feeding on good food or moulded, rotten food? Choose today to eat healthy not only physically but spirtually as well.

Whose People Are You

If you are a Christian YOU are God's people. Early in the word we read about circumstances when God sent plaques on Pharoah and his people because he would not let God's people go. But if you notice, the plaques did not touch God's people. He is our protector. We do not have to fear.

Exodus 8 v 22-23....And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the land. I will make a difference between My people and your people......

Did you see that? He will make a difference between His people and the others. Whose people are you? He says you will know that He is the LORD in the midst of the land. He is not just in heaven and unreachable. He is here everyday with us right where we are. When the world says there is no cure for what the world says you have. You say, Devil you are a liar, and the word of God is the truth, and He says I am different from your people. The word says in Isa. 53 v 5 by HIS stripes I am healed. The word says in 1 Pet 2 v 24 that my LORD died for all sins, illnesses, diseases and by His stripes I am healed.

I choose to believe what God has to say and not what the devil and the world try to tell me. I choose to be one of GOD's people and not one of the world. I will not let my tongue claim what the world says but I will confess what the word of GOD says over myself.

Prov. 18 v 21....Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit......

I choose life. I am a chosen people. I will not stray from God's path for me.

Prov. 19 v 23....The fear of the LORD leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; he will not be visited with evil.......

Again, Whose people are you????

If God Says You Can

If God says we can do something, then why do we doubt in our hearts. Why can't we believe what God says. Why is it so easy to believe the devil and the people of the world but not GOD?

It has been that way since the beginning of time. When God told someone to do something, they would question Him. We have an example in Exodus of God telling Moses to go to Pharoah and tell him to let His people go. But Moses tells Him he can not speak well, and surely there must be someone else He can send.

I find it ironic and even a bit funny that we would question the very One who made us, and knows what we can do, because He is the one who gave us the ability to do what we do. I believe God probaby finds it annoying that we question Him, when He knows all things. He probably has rolled His eyes at me a few times, when He tells me to do something, and I say I can't or I am not capable. I can just hear His exasperation with me!!

Exodus 4 v 10-11.....Then Moses said to the LORD, "O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue." So the LORD said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD?"...........

Do you see how ridiculous Moses sounded now? He is telling God what he could do and can do since He started talking to him. Like God didn't know who he was before He started talking to him. Can you see the frustration of the LORD? Think about that the next time you hear GOD tell you to do something that you think you are not capable of. Remember to Whom you are speaking with. The One who made your mouth, your mind, your body. Then maybe you will not find the task so difficult. AMEN!

At His Feet

We had a good word at church yesterday. One about being at the feet of Jesus. The pastor showed different scriptures about the different people who came to Jesus and how you found them at His feet. But the one scripture that most stood out for me was one that I am always writing on. Mary and Martha.

I am always saying how I am a Martha, but then yesterday I saw that, I am not just a Martha. When I get in my worship time, my prayer time, or when I need healing or just comforting from the LORD, like only He can give me. I become a Mary. I too have spent a lot of time at the feet of Jesus. How many of you have spent time at the feet.

If you haven't been at the feet lately, maybe now is a good time. Take whatever it is that you need the LORD's healing powers in, whether it be healing in your body, your finances, your relationships, your work place. Whatever it is, He is waiting for you to come spend some time with Him. Quality time at His feet.

Luke 10 v 39.....And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word.....

It doesn't matter who we are, what we have done, we all have a place to receive healing or forgiveness at the feet of Jesus.

Luke7 v 37-38....And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee's house, brought and alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil......
Jesus loves you so much. Give Him a chance to show you. Go to the feet.

Which Is Easier

Which is easier to believe the devil or the LORD. We are so quick to believe the devil's lies, yet we find it hard to believe and have faith in the word of GOD. We say we believe, but then out of the same mouth we say, oh that is not possible, or poor so and so, they are not doing very well, they probably won't make it through this.???? We repeat the things of the world, and what the devil is telling us through the world's eyes instead of what our God tells us through His word.
We need to make sure we can hear and know the voice of the LORD.

Matt. 24 v 24-25....For false christs and prophets will rise and show great signs and wondes to deceive, if possible even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand....

Jesus, Himself is warning us here to make sure we know the word, make sure we know His voice, because possibly even some of those who have chosen to follow Him will be deceived by these anti-christs. You can not trust in signs and wonders, but in the word of GOD.

Jesus loves us all so much. He wants to protect us all and keep us all under His protective arms, but some will still reject that love. Don't wait until it is too late to accept the love of Jesus and the salvation that He offers you.

Matt. 23 v 37-39....."O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!'".......

Jesus wants to gather us up and just love us and protect us. Why do we not want to belive this? Why would we rather believe the devils lies?

Hug yourself today, and just imagine that it is Jesus' arms around you. Feel the love He has for you. Know that His word is truth and that He is the only way to our Father in Heaven. Imagine being snug and warm under the mother hens wings. Being protected from anything that would try to harm you. His word is your shield. Don't go through one day without hearing His word. Read it out loud and pick up your shield of Faith and protect yourself each day before you leave your house. AMEN!

First Is Last and Last Is First

What does that mean? In Matt. 20 Jesus uses a parable explaining how the kingdom of heaven is like a vineyard of workers all making the same wage. You might be thinking how is that like the kingdom of heaven?

Matt. 20 v 1-16...."For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, and said to them, ' You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.' So they went .Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise. And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, 'Why have you been standing here idle all day?' They said to him, 'Because no one hired us.' He said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.' So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, 'Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.' And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius. But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received a denarius. And when they had received it, they complained against the landowner, saying, 'These last men have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the heat of the day. But he answered one of them and said, 'Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?' So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen......

Now that was a mouthful, but what I got from this, was that no matter when you become a Christian, your forgiveness is the same as the next person. Your forgiveness that is promised when you repent and accept Christ is the same as the person who accepted Him 50 years before you and has been doing work for the kingdom for that many years, or a missionary who has been in the mission fields working for God and His kingdom all of their lives will not receive any more forgiveness than you when you accept Him today.

When the man continued to go out into the market place or( say the mission field, or the streets of the city,) and found more and more people each time that he could hire, or (say to witness to,) then they accepted the offer, or (accepted to receive Jesus as Lord,) then they went to the vineyard, and when the day was over or (say when Jesus comes back,) then they all received the same pay, or (say the same forgiveness and entered into heaven.) AMEN!

And those who complained because the others received the same, had the wrong hearts. For they were given just what they were promised. We as Christians can not think just because we teach a Sunday School Class, or we are the lead singer for the Praise Team, or we might be the Head Deacon, that we are any better than the person who came to visit for the first time to church and accepted Christ. If Jesus came that same day before church was over, all those who had accepted Him would be with Him. Starting with the last to the first.

A new Christian is like a baby. What mother would leave her baby at home alone while she took her grown child out to eat? No, she would feed her baby first and make sure the baby was taken care of and then continue on with her work as a mother to feed the others. That is why it is so important for new baby Christians to stay in the word of God and to hear what He says, to go to Church and be taught the word so to help them to grow and become strong and healthy spiritually to be able to stand on the word of God when there are no other Christians around to support them.

And we need to all go out into the marketplace, the fields, the cities, wherever someone might be that needs to hear the word of God and invite them into the vineyard so that they might receive the same reward. AMEN!

Have You Got It Yet

How many times did Jesus have to do something or say something until the disciples finally got it? The same with us. How many times do we have to read His promises in His word before we get it? How many times does the Preacher have to preach it before it sinks in? Why do we think we are any different than the people of His days on earth? They were just as mule headed as we are sometimes about things. They had just as much lack in their faith sometimes as we do.

Matt. 14 v 17 -21....But Jesus said to them, "They do not need to go away, you give them something to eat." And they said to Him, "We have here only five loaves and two fish." He said, "Bring them here to me." Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and all the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children......

The first time!

Matt. 15 v 33.... Then His disciples said to Him, "Where could we get enough bread in the wilderness to fill such a great multitude?"

Now, I know they didn't just ask Jesus that, after he just got through feeding the five thousand!!!

Matt. 15 v 34...Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?"And they said, "Seven and a few little fish."

What? They had more loaves of bread this time than the last time and less people to feed? Yet they still questioned Jesus???

Matt.15 v 35-38.....So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left. Now those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.......

The second time!!

Now later Jesus is trying to teach the disciples another lesson, but yet they are still stuck on this bread thing, and still questioning.

Matt. 16 v 7-10....And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "It is because we have taken no bread." But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, "O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread? Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up?....

Jesus is saying when are you going to get it? When will it sink in, that all you need to do is ask, and I will provide? When will you see that the circumstances make no difference? Whether it is five thousand or four thousand with 5 loaves or seven loaves, it just does not matter. He will provide. He will make a way. AMEN!

Matt. 19 v 26.... But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with GOD all things are possible."....

Are you with men, or are you with GOD?

Hem Touching Faith

How much faith do we really have? Do we have enough to say, if I could just touch the hem of His garment, I would be healed. How many times do we go down to the front of a service to have hands laid on us to be healed? How many people go down week after week for the same illness? The problem is not with what we believe, the problem is with how much faith do we have in that area. The woman with the issue of blood had enough faith, that Jesus didn't have to lay hands on her, she just needed to touch His garment and she knew she would be healed. When the same ones go down week after week, the hands that are being laid on them have the healing power, but the person being healed has not yet had enough faith in those hands. Sometimes they receive their healing only to lose it as soon as they walk out and tell someone about it.

Did you ever wonder why Jesus told people not to go out and talk about their healing. I believe it is because He knew the unbelief they would encounter, and then they would be influenced by the words of the unbelievers. In other words the world would steal their healing from them by putting doubts in their hearts.

Do you think that they would be healed if Jesus laid His hands on them? Do you have faith in His word? It is not His hands only that heal. He tells you in His word, that you have the same power given to Him by His Father, only more so will your miracles be. His word tells us, when He heals someone, He tells them to go and let them be healed according to their faith. When He healed the blind men, He told them according to your faith, when He healed the woman with the issue of blood, He did not touch her, she had enough faith to believe in the power flowing from just the hem of His garment.

Matt. 9 v 29....Then He touched their eyes saying, "According to your faith let it be to you."

Matt. 9 v 22....But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour....

Matt. 10 v 7-8...."And as you go, preach, saying the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give......

Yesterday, God showed me where my faith level was in what I say I believe. I was having yet another bloody nose. I said, Lord, I have already received my healing for these bloody noses and like the lady with the issue of blood, I have already touched your garment and received my healing. I demand this blood issue to stop in the name of Jesus. I am not sticking any paper up my nose because the blood will stop. Two or three times during the day, I felt the trickle start to flow and I rebuked it in the name of Jesus and told it to quit and it did not bleed. AMEN! I share this with you, because, I need you to see, that I did not have to wait to go to church for someone to lay hands on me. I just needed to seek the LORD, and touch the hem of His garment. I just needed enough faith in what I believed to be true. AMEN!

Where is your faith? Is it in the hem, the hands or the words? As long as you have faith in the word of GOD, and what He says, you will get your healing, and once you do, don't let the circumstances of the world around you steal it away from you. Hold on to what you believe. Speak the word over your area you need help in. We do have what we say. We can have a miracle or we can have a problem in our lives. We get to choose.

Mark 11 v 22-23....So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in GOD. For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says willbe done, he will have whatever he says.".......

RTB....Matt. 10-12

Careful Before You Cast

Before we go around casting out demons, we need to be sure the person we are casting the demons out of has accepted Christ. We need to be sure that the Holy Spirit is living within them. If you cast out demons just because you can, and the word says you have the authority to do so, you need to be responsible with what you are about to do. If the Holy Spirit is not living within that person, then that demon will just wander around until he finds 7 of his buddies, and then come back to dwell in that person, and the person is worse off than he was. And the demons can do that, because the house is empty.

However, if that person has accepted the LORD as their Savior, and the Holy Spirit dwells within them, then the demons have no place to reside, and will have to move on to another dwelling place.

Matt. 12 v 43-45.....When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, I will return to my house from which I came. And when he comes, he finds it EMPTY, swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it be with this wicked generation.......

Just because we have been given gifts of the Spirit does not mean we are to use them unwisely. Don't get filled with the Holy Ghost, only to go around scaring everyone with your tongue speaking. If there is no understanding, what have you accomplished? Don't think that you are any better than another of a different denomination because you can speak in tongues, or you can heal, and they have not yet received those gifts. We are all after the one goal, that Jesus had in mind when He came to this earth, and that is to bring all His children under one authority. We may not worship in the same buildings, but we are of the same house and we must stand together.

Matt. 12 v 25....But Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them; "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.".......

Therefore use your gifts wisely!

No Longer Your Parent's DNA

When will we as Christians get it? We are no longer the DNA of our parents, but we are new creatures in Christ.

2 Cor. 5 V 16-17.....Therefore, from now on, we regard no one accoring to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new....

Do you see the first part of that passage of scripture? "From now on, we regard no one according to the flesh"

Can you understand that statement? You are no longer of the flesh. You have been made new through Christ whose blood covers everything. It doesn't matter who your parents were, or who you were for that fact. It doesn't matter if there was alcoholism, abusive behavior, sexual proscuity, drug abuse, it just doesn't matter, that is no longer who you are or who you are a part of.

You are now a part of the body of Christ. If you believe what you read in the word of God, then you have to accept that. Which means quit talking about the childhood you had, or the way you lived your life prior to becoming a Christian. When you constantly talk about something you lift it up as to give it praise and worship.

When will we start praising GOD and thanking Him for who we are? When will we start claiming Him as our Father? When will we start giving Him credit for who we are? When will we accept the blood of Christ in our new lives? If we can not accept the blood and what it stood for, and all that it covered, then we have not fully accepted Christ as our Savior.

Start now today, claiming your new life, your new you, your new beginnings, your new family, your new inheritance. Start today, praising and worshiping Him as your Father and give Him the glory for who you are "FROM NOW ON".......

How Willing Are You

How willing are you to forgive someone a wrong? How anxious are you to forgive and go on with life? You might think anxious a strange word to use for forgiving, but if you know what is at stake based on your forgiveness, you may just become a little more anxious to forgive. God tells us that He can not forgive us if we hold any trespasses against fellow brothers. The word tells us that in order for our prayers to be heard, we have to have no unforgiveness in our hearts. If we go back all the way to Genesis, we will see a lesson in forgiveness.

Mark 11 v 25-26....And whenever you stand praying, "if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses".....

In Gen.37 we read where Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers. Then he was wrongly accused and placed in a prison for years. But God still had His hand in Joseph's life. He delivered him out of prison, and caused him to find favor with the Pharoah and was placed above all of Egypt, second only to Pharoah himself. Then when the famine came on the land, his brothers came to buy food, and who did they have to go to? Joseph! Only they did not know it was their brother Joseph, they thought him long dead and gone.

Through all of that and still Joseph forgave them and welcomed them back into his household. Now how many of you could welcome back the very ones who caused you to be put in prison, and live like a slave, and take you away from the father that you love? But Joseph revealed himself to his brothers and wept over them, and told them not to blame themselves, but that it was GOD's plan all along for him to come to Egypt.

Gen. 45 v 5....But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for GOD sent me before you to preserve life.......

Now I don't know if I could be so forgiving to those who clearly hated me, and sold me into slavery, or worse, had at first contemplated killing me! But, then I have to look at the bigger picture, and know that I am in need of God's forgiveness as well, for there are many times that I have failed Him. There are many times that I have not walked in love toward someone, or held some sort of grudge against another. But now when we know the word then we have no excuse. We have to forgive.

Unforgiveness causes stress in your life, and this in turn causes many types of illnesses, diseases, and heartaches along the way. To be completely healthy, physically and spiritually we must learn to forgive and let go. That means we do not bring it up every chance we get. That is not forgiveness, that is obsession. Why would we want to give a circumstance in our past that much power over our future?

Make a decision today to walk in forgiveness toward everyone and to love everyone with the love of Christ that is in you. See how much better you will feel in 2009 and how much healthier your mind, body, and soul will be. AMEN!

No Matter What Time

It doesn’t matter what time it is, when God has something to say to you, you might as well get up and listen. You can lay in bed and fight the urge to get up if you want to, but that is all you will do is lay there, you won’t sleep. Sometimes, the new puppy keeps you up, sometimes it is the snoring in the bed next to you, but sometimes it is something bigger.

I was watching a commercial on TV with this monster going around waving his arms trying to scare people. That is his job to scare people. But no one is paying any attention to him. They are just ignoring him as if he wasn’t there. First it is a big truck, he stands in front of the truck and waves his arm, and the truck just rolls right over him, then a man reading his newspaper, and the man just flips his newspaper at him, as if to say go away, you are pestering me.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we would do that when the devil tries to put wrong thinking in our heads. When he tries to get you to do something wrong, or say the wrong thing, or tries to make you think you are sick, when Jesus says you are healed. When the devil tries to tell you the economy is going to bring you down, when Jesus says He will provide. Wouldn’t it be great if we would just learn to brush him off, like a pestering fly buzzing around, instead of giving him so much power over our thought life.

We have the ability to do just that. We have the power to tell him to get lost, I am not interested in what you have to say. We have to choose to use that power, or to sit there and let him sink deeper and deeper into our thoughts. The deeper you let him sink into your mind, the harder it will be to get him out and to realize that he is a liar.

So the next time you can’t sleep, get up, listen to what God has to say to you. Get the word out and look up the scriptures that show you the promises God has made to you. Don’t ignore the urging of the HOLY SPIRIT when He is trying to get you up out of bed to tell you something. Don’t brush him off like a pestering fly. Let Him in, and let Him renew your mind and your thinking with the word of GOD. And yes, sometimes He may be on a different time zone than you are on, and you may say, can’t it wait until morning, but sometimes it is too important to wait. God has His timing, and we have ours. We have to learn to listen, no matter what time it is. AMEN!

Isaiah 55 v 3….Incline your ear, and come to Me; Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you………

Prov. 23 v 7…For as he thinks in his heart, so is he……

Watch what you think, watch what you let the devil put into your thoughts. Stay in the word daily, and build a wise way of thinking.

Prov. 24 v 5….A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength;…..

Hosea 4 v 6……My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge………

Don’t be defeated for the lack of knowledge. Build yourself up on the strength of GOD through His word.

Who's Who

Through these next few chapters of Genesis, we sort of get the Who's Who list. From these chapters comes Issac, Esau, Jacob, and then all of the sons of Jacob, including Joseph, the one for whom the coat of many colors was made for.

First there is Isaac and as he grows, God sends Abraham to the mountain top to sacrifice him as a burnt offering. We know the story, Abraham is faithful and obedient to God, because he knows that God will provide the sacrifice. We even see it when he tells the men that are traveling with them to the mountain top to stay with the animals below and he and the lad will return to them. He knows that God will not take his son, because God has told him that He will make many nations from this son.

Gen.....22 v.2 Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."....

Gen. 22 v 5...And Abraham said to his young men, "stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship and we will come back to you."....

It is like with us, God tells us over and over in His word we are healed, or we are blessed, but yet we are still looking for a way out of our situations instead of trusting Him to provide the way. Oh if we could only have the faith of Abraham, but with that faith also the obedience. AMEN!

We have so much deception in these chapters first with Issac's wife Rebekah, deceiving Isaac with Esau and Jacob, her twins. She tricks Isaac into giving Jacob, Esau's blessing. We see here the favoritism shown to children by their parents. Isaac favoring Esau, and Rebekah favoring Jacob. After Jacob receives Esau's blessing, Esau is so angry he wants to kill his brother. So Rebekah sends Jacob away to stay with her people. Then Esau and Jacob both marry. Esau marries Mahalath from his father's family, and Jacob marries Leah and Rachel from his mother's family.

This is sort of where we get the saying what goes around comes around. Remember how Jacob stole Esau's birth right through trickery and deception, well when he meets Rachel he asks to marry her, and that he will work seven years for her father for her, and then at the end of the seven years, the father tricks him into marrying Leah the older daughter, so then he has to work another seven years for Rachel. There is strife now between these two sisters.

God hears Leah and sees that she is unloved so he opens her womb and she bears Jacob four sons, then she stops conceiving so she gives him her maidservant, who bears him two sons, Rachel also gives her maidservant to him and she bears him two sons, then God hears Leah's cries as she is still unloved and he reopens her womb and she bears him two more sons, and a daughter. Then God remembers Rachel and opens her womb and she gives her two sons. Joseph and Benjamin.

We all know the story of Joseph, and his brothers selling him and him becoming a slave and then later he finds favor with the Pharoah, and the Pharoah ends up giving Joseph control over all the lands and the people.

There are so many stories in the old testament and now I hope we have all become so interested that we can not put down the word of God. And I hope we will continue to read together the chapters each day, so when a verse or a subject comes up in the tid-bits, we will all remember together where we read about this in the word of God.

I pray that each one of you will keep up with your reading and that you will continue to be blessed each day with a word from God to you.AMEN!

Immorality and Destruction

We read in the scriptures today accounts of homosexuality, incest, and almost an act of adultery on the mother of nations.

First we left off yesterday with Abraham pleading with God to spare the city of Sodom. He asks God, if only fifty righteous people are found there will He not spare the righteous and not destroy the city. He keeps this up until he gets down to ten. He asks God to spare the city for the sake of ten righteous. Remember Lot, Abrahams' nephew and his family are living there. So God says, if there is indeed ten righteous there, He will not destroy the city. God must have known that there were not ten righteous as, He sent angels to move Lot and his family from the city before destruction. They were told to hurry and make haste and not to look back. But Lot's wife couldn't stand it, she had to look back to see what was going on, and she was turned to a pillar of salt. Therefore, only Lot and his two daughters escaped the destruction.

Gen. 19 v 26...But his wife looked back behind him; and she became a pillar of salt....

Jesus warns us of looking back in Luke 17 v 32 where He tells us "remember Lot's wife". He is talking about the end of time, when He comes back and one will be working beside another, and one will be taken and the other left for destruction.

How many times has God told us to move on from something that is not good for us. How many times do we keep trying to look back to see what if? When all we need to do is trust God to lead us out of these dark places.

God is very clear in the word, about what He thinks of homosexuality. He destroyed the entire city and left nothing but ashes of those living there.

Gen. 19 v 5....And they called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally."......

Gen. 19 v 24-25.....Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.......

Next we have the two daughters of Lot, fearing that their family name would be lost forever because no one is left but them and their father. So they get him drunk on wine and go in and sleep with him and they both conceive. Their sons Moab and Ben-Ammi will be of great trouble to Israel later.

Gen. 19 v 36....Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father....

And then we have Abraham telling the king of Gerar that Sarah was his sister, and so the king sent for Sarah. But that night God came to him in a dream and told him surely you are a dead man if you take this married woman. It scared the bejeevies out of him, and he took her right back to Abraham and wanted to know what was he doing trying to get him killed?

But as we know God had a plan for Abraham and Sarah already in the making, so He did not let this thing happen.

God told Abimelech the king, that He knew he did not know that this was Abraham's wife therefore he kept him from touching her.

Gen. 20 v 6....And God said to him in a dream, "Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her"......

We are not going to stop God's plan for us, we may get in the way, and cause a lot of heartache along the way because we do not listen to God, but we will not stop what He says will be.

And then on a happier note, Issac is born to Abraham and Sarah. God's promise comes to light. As the child grew, Sarah becomes resentful of Hagar's son even more, and tells Abraham that Issac is his heir and not Ishmael. She tells Abraham to send Hagar and Ishmael away. So Abraham is grieved over this, as this is his son also, and God tells him not to be grieved but to do as Sarah says, and He will make a nation out of Ishmael as well. So he sends Hagar out of their camp with the boy and she wanders around in the wilderness of Beersheba, where her son cries for water, and God hears him and provides a well of water.

Gen. 21 v 17-18...And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, "What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise lift up the lad and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation."...

Gen. 21 v 19...Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink.....

Once again we see that God will provide a way out for us when we put our trust in Him.

We do not any of us have to suffer the fire and brimstone if we will live by the word of God and His ways and not the ways of the world. AMEN!

RTB.....Gen. 19-21

Promises Made

God caused the flood waters to come and the entire earth was covered. The only ones left living were those that were in the Ark. It rained for forty days and nights. The waters stayed on the earth one hundred fifty days.

1.) Gen. 7 v 23-24....So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground; both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive. And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred fifty days......

Then God spoke to Noah and told him to go out from the ark, be fruitful and multiply. He made a covenant (promise) with all creation.

2.) Gen. 8 v 22........"While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and Summer, and day and night shall not cease."......

Then God made another covenant with Noah, to never destroy the earth by flood waters again, and He leaves him with a sign of the covenant in the sky.

3.) Gen. 9 v 11...Thus I establish My covenant with you: never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.".....

4.) Gen. 9 v 13.....I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.".....

So every time you see a rainbow in the sky, you will know that God is remembering His covenant with all the flesh of the earth. When you look at the rainbow, and remember this promise, just think you and GOD are thinking about the same thing. AMEN!

Now Noah, and his wife, and his sons, and their wives leave the ark and repopulate the entire earth. But not without some trouble. They first tried to make a name for themselves by building a city with a tower stretching to heaven, but GOD is not happy with them. He told them to go out into the entire earth, but they wanted to keep to themselves and think that they had the way to heaven. That is the way some churches are today, they think they have the only way to heaven when in truth, God tells us that the only way to heaven to Him, is through the lamb of God, which is His Son, Jesus. God then caused them to be confused and speak different languages and scattered them. Now we have nations formed and divided, starting with the three sons of Noah, Ham, Japeth, and Shem.

From Japeth and his sons. Among these mentioned is "Javan" an ancient name for the "Greek" people.
Then you have Ham and his sons. Among which is "Cush", an ancient name for "Ethiopia".
Then you have Shem, among who you find "Eber" which has a significant meaning of "Hebrew".

5.) Gen. 11 v 8-9.....So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth, and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth....

From Noah, came his son Shem through whose descendants came Abram later renamed as Abraham, father of all nations. Through Abraham, God gives us many promises.

6.) Gen.12 v 3..."I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.".....

7.) Gen. 15 v 5...Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."....

We all wish at some time or other that we could have the faith and obedience of Abraham. Remember the story when God promises Abraham that he will have a son, and he is to call him Issac, and from him will come many more. Then God tells Abraham to go up on the mountain and sacrifice his son to Him. Abraham obeys, but just before he can harm Issac, God stops him and provides a lamb for the sacrifice. God saw that Abraham was willing to follow Him, no matter what the cost. How many of us can say we are that willing? How many of us make sacrifices for the LORD? How many of us give the LORD just a few minutes out of each day? Maybe just enough to read these tid-bits? What kind of sacrifices have you made to the LORD lately?

God makes Abram promises to give him all the land that is filled with milk and honey. He sends him from one place to another giving him the land. Then He tells him, He will make him father of many nations. But Sarai who is later known as Sarah, Abraham's wife wants a child now, she does not want to wait on God's timing. So she tells Abraham to go with her maid, Hagar and she conceives. So Abraham's first son is Ishmael.

8.) Gen. 16 v 15....So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram named his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael...

But this is not the son of whom God says many nations shall come. But God blesses Ishmael as well and promises to multiply him with twelve princes and make him a great nation. But He says, His covenant shall be with Issac, and it shall be an everlasting covenant, and shall be for all his descendants.

God changes Abram's name to Abraham which means "father of many nations", so every time someone calls his name they are speaking what God promised to Abraham, to make him father of many nations, even though he and Sarah are already well into their years, him being about a hundred years old, and Sarah being around ninety. God then changes Sarai's name to Sarah and says she will be a mother of nations.

9.) Gen. 17 v 4-5...."As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be called Abraham; for I have made you father of many nations.

10.) Gen. 17 v 15-16...Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her."....

You see God is going to get His way, so we do not need to supply Him a way out, He knows what He is doing. We do not have to provide Hagars for God. He will provide a way for us. Nothing is too hard for the LORD.

11.) Gen. 18 v 13-14...And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh saying, 'Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?' Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."....

So don't laugh when God tells you, that you can have what you say. AMEN!

Once we begin to accept the promises that He made to us through our father Abraham, and start having the faith and the obedience of Abraham then maybe we would see our miracles come to be, and we will learn to trust in Him and not in ourselves for our deliverance. AMEN!

There are so many promises in the Bible from God to us. We just have to have faith and believe that they are made for us and not just for that day and time. AMEN! I pray you will all find the promises you are looking for in the word as we read through the Bible this year.

From Good Stock

Have you heard that saying? She/he comes from good stock. Well, we all come from the same stock, so we all come from good stock. As we read Friday in Gen. 4-6 we see the stock we came from.

Fist, we have the first man and woman coming to know each other in an intimate way, and bearing children. The first two sons, Cain and Abel. Then we have the first offerings recorded, although we see that Cain and Abel both brought offerings, that they must have been taught from the very beginning from their parents about offerings given unto the LORD.
1.) Gen. 4 v 3.....And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD.....
It doesn't say he brought an offering of the first fruits, just some fruit of the ground.
We can learn a valuable lesson here about what it is exactly that we are to give to the LORD in our offerings. That would be our best. If it is not have a sacrifice, you have not given your best.

2.) Gen. 4 v 4...Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock, and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering.....
Abel brought the best he had to give to the LORD.

Then Cain becomes jealous, even though he is the one who did wrong. The Lord tries to give him a way out and correct his mistake.

3.) Gen. 4 v 7....If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it......

God tries to tell Cain, that if he does right, then he will be rewarded, but if he continues to do wrong, then he is opening the door to sin in his life, and the sin will rule over him. But that he has the power to turn away from sin, and rule over the sin, instead of the other way around. The same is true for us today. We have a way out no matter what sin we have committed. If we repent and turn away from that sin, then we have the power over that sin, Jesus defeated sin for us, but we have to choose whether to continue to walk in sin or to walk according to the word of GOD.

Because Cain let his jealousy fester and did not change he fell into the trap of sin and murdered his own brother.

4.) Gen. 4 v 8....Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him....

Next we see the genealogy of Adam, and we see that there was a third son born, Seth. We see that the men of those days lived very long lives. This is where we read of the oldest man in the Bible, Methuselah, who we find out a few scriptures down is Noah's grandfather.

5.) Gen. 5 v 27....so all the days of Methuselah were nine-hundred and sixty nine years; and he died....

*A tid-bit....Methuselah's grandfather, Jared lived nine-hundred, and sixty two years....**, making him the second oldest recorded man in the bible.
That is what I call good stock.

Now God gets so fed up with mankind, and says He can not put up with our foolish ways forever. So He says, mankind shall live to be one hundred twenty years old..

6.) Gen. 6 v 3...and the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.".....

However, God finds favor in Noah and makes a covenant with him. He tells him He has lost all confidence in mankind and will wipe out every living, breathing creature on the face of the earth that He has created. He tells Noah to build an ark, and just who will go into the ark with him to be spared.

7.) Gen. 6 v 17-20....And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you. And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you, they shall be male and female. Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.....

So there you have it, we all come from the stock of Noah and his three sons. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ, all the way back to the beginning. AMEN!

The Beginning and The End

We have many beginnings and ends in our lifetime. We have the beginning of our lives when we were born. We have the beginning of when we started school, and the end when we graduate. We have the beginning of relationships and sometimes the end of the same relationship. We have the beginning of marriage hopefully with out an end until the end of our time.

We have the beginning of the new year and yes the new year will have to come to an end in order for the next new year to come to pass. How we start out our beginnings will sometimes dictate how we will end. We may not always have the freedom to choose our beginnings but we can choose our endings. We can let our lemons rot, or we can make lemonade. We choose how we live our lives. And if we choose Jesus, then we will have chosen a better life. He has already chosen us, now it is up to us to choose Him.

We read in Genesis the first three chapters about the beginning of the earth and its habitation. We have the beginning of man and woman. We have the beginning of obedience and then disobedience. We have the beginning of sin.

In the beginning we had LOVE, obedience, deception, disobedience, sin, and then LOVE. You see no matter what we do, God loves us. He may not always like us, but He does love us and is willing to let us come to Him. He gives us the freedom to choose Him. However one day the earth will be no more, it will come to an end. Where we go from there is a choice we have to make. But the choice must be made before the end of time on this earth as we know it. We can choose eternal life with the Father and the Son, or we can choose eternity in Hell. We are the ones who choose, so there is no one to blame for the way our story ends but ourself. Just like with Adam, he had no one to blame but himself. We are the only ones who can be held accountable for our obedience to God and His word.

Gen. 3 v 17.....Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it', "Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it. All the days of your life......

And so it was the beginning of time and man.........

We Are Made New In Him

The New Year is not the only thing new. We are made New in Him when we become Christians. How many have forgotten that? How many of us have gone back to bad habits or strayed from the word of God? Well, forget all those other New Year's resolutions, and instead make a commitment to Christ. Come back to Him with your whole heart, mind, body and soul, and let this be your best year yet.

2 Cor. 5 v 17....Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new....

You may say, "how can we make this our best year, when the world is falling apart with all the troubles with the economy and the war". The word tells us that we are not of this world any longer. We have been made new in Him. AMEN!

John 15 v 18-19..."If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you"..........

Let's try something new in the tid-bits this year. I will include portions of the bible to read each day, so that we may read the bible through completely in one year. And when we read, let's read it out loud, so that the spoken word of God is being spoken somewhere in the world each day, and by the end of the year, the entire word of GOD will have been spoken over these portions of the world where our readers reside or travel to. AMEN! I am so excited about getting the spoken word out there. You may have been searching for what the LORD has for you to do. Well, this might just be it. Wherever you are, if you are speaking the word of God, you are doing His will, and helping His kingdom to grow. AMEN!

Rob may have me on the treadmill this year trying to make over a new me, but I am not stopping there, besides helping this physical body out, I am going to re-make my spiritual body to be more pleasing to Him. (God, not Rob). AMEN!

Join me, this year in making this the best year ever, where we are blessed with excellent health, blessed coming in, blessed going out, blessed in our finances, and our relationships. HALLELUJAH!

Let's start this year out with reading our blessings out loud, and receiving them unto ourselves. Let's be blessed the way God says we are blessed and not the way the world says. AMEN!

Here are just a few of our blessings in the word.

Deut. 28 v 3,5,6,8........"Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country., Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl., Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out., The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you........

I love you all, and pray that the LORD blesses you above your own expectations this year, I pray that He gives each of you a heart to live for Him, and that He blesses each of you with excellent health, and with strong prayer partners in your lives. I pray that the LORD is merciful toward each one, and that you have your every hearts desires. I pray for all your loved ones that you are praying for salvation for, that they ask the LORD into their lives and receive Him into their hearts. I pray that you each give Him the glory and the praise and the Honor that is due Him every day. All these things I ask in the Name above all names, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. AMEN!

Now lets go out and make this our best year!
Read thru the Bibile....Gen. Chapters 1-3, we will be switching from old to new testament, I will send out a copy of the plan, so that when you are away and do not have access to the computer you will be able to follow along and for those readers who are given copies of the tid-bits because they do not have a computer.
