Change Comes From The Inside

If you have never watched Andrew Womack, you need to watch his program from today. If you want to know how to live prosperous, victorious, whole and healthy, watch Andrew or go to his website www.awmi.net or call 719-635-1111 and order his teaching 'Effortless Change'.

He tells us how if we are going to change the way we think, the way we receive from the Lord, the way we believe, we will first have to change our hearts. Change comes from the inside out. Change starts in our hearts.

How do we change our stinking thinking into God thinking? We have to meditate on His word. Not just give Him five minutes here or there, we have to really get into His word so that the word can get into us.

When we get His word into us we will change our mindset to be like minded with Christ Jesus.

Joshua 1 v 8....This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth but you SHALL meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you WILL make your way prosperous, and then you WILL have good success....

God says that if you stay in HIS WORD (the bible) you WILL make your way prosperous, and you WILL have good success. He doesn't say you might if you try harder, if you do more, if you are good, no HE says if you MEDITATE on HIS WORD you SHALL have success. AMEN!

What happens when you meditate on God's words? You develop the mindset of Christ Jesus, Himself.

1 Pet 4 v 1....Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God....

Phil 2 v 5-6.....Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God did not condsider it robbery to be equal with God.....

We are joint heirs with Jesus and we have the same power God used to raise Jesus from the dead in us. AMEN!

Romans 12 v 2.....and be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God......

John 14 v 12-14....Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.....

What did that verse say, if you ask certain things in my name, if you are good and you do not make any mistakes, I might do for you? NO, He says MOST ASSUREDLY, in other words you can take it to the bank, if you believe in HIM, He will do WHATEVER you ask.

The word tells us that by renewing our minds we can prove out to be what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God for us. Sickness, disease and poverty are not in His perfect Will. AMEN!

Would you wish any of those things on your earthly children? Then why would you ever think that it is God's will for you HIS CHILD to be sick, or in lack of any good thing?

Where does this kind of belief come from? From your mindset. How do you get this mindset of Christ? By meditating on His word and changing your heart. Change starts in the heart. Change starts from the inside and works its way out. Get into His word, meditate on it, and find out just who you are in Christ Jesus and what that entitles you to.

PROV 23 v 7...for as he thinks in his heart so is he.....

Order the materials from Andrew Womack, 'Effortless Change' and then also order the teaching from Joseph Prince 'Standing Strong In Difficult Times', by going to JosephPrince.org. You will be blessed.

And now a little tid-bit just from me:

correction from tid-bit giving credit
I was asked why can't I give credit to both, God and the doctors? That was a good question and got me to thinking. This would be one of those times that we are in two different mindsets on what the Word teaches on healing. I was wrong to say to give credit to one or the other. In fact someone else pointed out to me that the faith was not placed in the doctor, the faith was placed in healing. The doctor was just a different route of taking to get to that healing. Some people may be able to go straight to God and bypass the doctor where some may be more comfortable going through the doctor to get to their healing. example: some people may go and get a flu shot every season to keep from getting the flu to where some people feel they are already protected because of who they are in Christ. Let me be very, very clear, there is nothing wrong with doctors, doctors are good. I hope that clears up any confusion or any condemnation about going to doctors.

I can only give you a tid-bit of my thoughts each day of what I get from the Lord, and sometimes that tid-bit can leave some feeling more confused because it takes more than just a tid-bit of time to change a mindset from years of thinking like the world. It takes more than just a tid-bit to get the entire meaning of the message in the tid-bit. It takes meditating on HIS WORDS not mine to get the true meaning of what I am trying to say. That is why the scriptures are given, so that each person may go and read GOD'S WORDS for themselves and not take my word for whatever subject I am writing on that day, remember these are tid-bits I personally glean each day from the Lord and then share with you, but you may not be in the place to receive what I am receiving at that time. I am still working on writing these tid-bits each day in such a way that you will be blessed by what you read and not left feeling condemned or confused. If you in fact are ever left feeling confused or condemned after looking up the scriptures given and reading them for yourself, then please write back to me so that I can clear up where I might have led you wrong. God's word is never meant to condemn you but to show you who you are in Him and how much He loves you. AMEN!

Romans 8 v 1...There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit....

Why Is It So Hard To Believe

This tid-bit comes with homework. Due to space I am just listing the scriptures and you will need to go to your bible and read the scriptures so that you may get a good understanding of just who you are in Christ and what His word says.

Why did Jesus tell His disciples to go and heal in His name if we are already healed? Good question. Jesus had not yet died on the cross at that time. And then after His death and resurrection the disciples went out and preached the gospel, the good news and told of Jesus death and resurrection and what He did for them on the cross. When they chose to believe and accept this finished work, they were healed and made whole.

It is easy for people to believe in parts of the finished work, but yet they have a hard time believing in other parts. WHY? I think personally it is because of the way we are told about Jesus, the way we are taught. There is so much focus on our eternal salvation that we are barely taught anything about the life the whole life, the abundant life Jesus wants us to have while we are still living here on earth. Read scriptures John 10 v 10-11

Jesus said He came to give us life, a more abundant life. He didn't say anything about having to die and go to heaven first before receiving that life. He also says in His word that the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. Satan goes about like a roaring lion waiting to devour whomever he can. Read 1 Pet 5 v 8

That is why we are told to put on our full armour of God. God doesn't say He will put on the armour and fight the devil for us, He says we are given the power and authority and weapons to stand against Satan. Read Ephe 6 v 10-13.

We have to resist the devil. Read James 4 v 7. The power is within us. God's will is never forced on anyone. We choose whether or not to believe, we choose whether or not we will accept the finished work.

God rewards those who diligently seek Him. We will overcome the world with our faith in our Father. We have to renew our minds with right teaching. Read Heb. 11 v 6 and 1 John 5 v 4 and Ephes. 4 v 21-24 and Ephes 3 v 16-21. In all these scriptures you will see where the power lies.

Satan has no power over you except for when you give him a place in your mind. When you start meditating on what he says and how he makes you feel, he uses your mind to overcome you. That is why it is so important that we renew our minds with the mind of Christ. That is why we must know who we are in Christ Jesus. That is why we have to get a good opinion of who God our Father really is.

We are in His grace. We are saved by Grace. What is grace?
Grace is unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor from God. There is nothing you can do to earn grace or lose Grace. Grace is freely given to all who believe in the Lord Jesus. We have to come to the understanding that we are under Grace, we are under the Blood, we are not under the law. Therefore you will not fall from grace. The only way out from under grace is by not believing in the Lord Jesus.

Therefore we are not subject to the devil and his works. Read 2 Cor 10 v 5...We have to cast down all imaginations and every thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of God, we have to bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

We have to change our stinking thinking and replace it with the right thinking of Christ JESUS who lives within us. AMEN! Read Prov 23 v 7.. As a man thinketh in his heart so is he...

Here is a statement that was made in our classes we took not long ago.

God will never see you as a failure because Jesus is not a failure, and you are in Christ.

So why do we find it so easy to believe and accept what the devil says about us instead of what our loving ABBA FATHER says about us?

Remember the truth is you posess all of the abilities of Christ and have the mind of Christ 1 Cor 2 v 16, so as you continue to stay in the word you will begin to renew your mind and begin to see yourself as who the WORD the TRUTH says you are. AMEN!

Who Gets The Credit

If someone is diagnosed with a disease and told they will have to go through all sorts of treatments to be healed. What is the next step? Well that would all depend on where your faith level is. If this person is someone who believes that healing was just for the days when Jesus walked on the earth, then their next step would be to go to a doctor for their healing.

If this person is someone who believes the bible is still for today not just a history book, and that everything the bible says is true, then they would go to the Lord and start thanking Him for the healing that is already there.

Now for the question. If you are a Christian and you say you believe in healing but yet you turn to a doctor (which there is nothing wrong with doctors) for your healing, then you have given power over to the doctor to heal you, and made your belief in healing from the LORD of no effect. So the credit would be given to your doctor. Are you shocked by the answer? This is how God revealed this to me. I was shocked as well.

While watching a commercial about a lady who was diagnosed with cancer and told she only had 2 months to live, she went home ready to die, but then her sister called a facility and got her in there and now she is cancer free for 3 years, and she says she owes this facility and their staff her life, that they saved her life. My first thought was thank God, and why is she not giving Him the credit? That is when God showed me, that sometimes their faith to be healed is not in Him, so therefore He can do nothing to help them, so give the credit to whom they placed their faith.

If you believe that God's word is true, then His word says that He loved you so much that He sent His only Son to die on the cross for all diseases, illnesses, sickness, sin. Not just some but for all. So He already let His Son suffer and die for whatever the enemy tries to put on you. So our part is to thank Him for our healing before anyone ever tries to speak disease on us. This is just another tool of Satan's, another way of getting into your mind so that he can get your mind off of what God says in His word. Satan is the father of all lies. God's word is truth. Jesus is the Word. AMEN!

God's word says you were healed. Not you are going to be healed but that you were healed. You were healed before you ever had the first symptom. You were healed before you were ever even thought about being born. You were healed because God first loved you before you were ever born, before you could love Him.

1 Pet 2 v 24.....who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed....

IS 53 v 5.....But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was brused for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed....

And then my personal favorite scripture my friend Linda gave me when the enemy tried to speak unspeakable things over me....
IS 54 v17...."No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD."...

Who says no weapon formed shall prosper, MY FATHER SAYS SO. AMEN! My Father showed me that He is not just a big God in heaven who created the universe and all that is in it, but He is a loving Father, a loving Daddy, who will not let His child be threatened. He says in this scripture that every tongue which rises against you in judgment shall be condemned. This tells me, that every report that someone tries to put on me that is not in agreement with what He says is a lie from satan and shall be condemned. He doesn't say in this scripture that no weapon will form, He says that if it tries to form against me it shall be condemned, it shall not prosper in the way it has set out to attack me.

This may be a little strong for some who may be dealing with a sickness right now, but the truth is the truth. There is nothing wrong with putting your faith in a doctor if you do not have enough faith to believe that you are already healed. But give credit where credit is due.

If you turn to a doctor, someone you have never met before, someone you have no relationship with, and let them put drugs into your body to heal you, then that is where you have placed your faith. That is allright if you have enough faith in those drugs and this person to heal you.

On the other hand, if you believe in your Father who loves you so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross for that disease already, if you have a relationship with your Father. If you have faith in Him and what His word says about your healing, then place your faith there and thank Him for the healing that already exists, you were healed by His love for you. Give Him all the glory and the praise for your healing.

Here is the deal wherever you put your faith, then stand by it. Do not be like a boat tossed around on a windy surf, being tossed to and fro. Where there is no stability in you. Do not be double minded on a subject as important as your healing. You must know before you are ever attacked by the enemy where you will place your faith.

James 1 v 6-8....But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the LORD; he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways....

To be double minded is to be like a soul divided in two. There will always be conflict between the two. You can not have complete faith in either way. Therefore you give your enemy the upper hand. The word tells us in this scripture that if we are double minded, if we do not have the faith to believe then do not expect to receive anything from the LORD. So your best bet would be placed in the doctor.

This is not always an easy subject to talk on, as when you know people who are fighting satan with an illness that he has tried to put on them, you do not want to confuse them.

So simply put, let me say it like this. If you are comfortable with your faith being placed in your doctor, then stick to it. You trusting in the doctor is not saying you do not love the LORD. You are not denying the LORD because you have faith in your doctor. Like I said before, there is nothing wrong with doctors, doctors are a good thing.

I encourage you to get into the word and let your mind be renewed by what He says you have, and not what the world says you have.

PS 103 v 3-4....Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction....

This verse tells us, He has redeemed us from destruction of sin and ALL diseases. Why is it so easy to believe that He has redeemed you from your sins, but you have a hard time believing that He has already redeemed you from ALL diseases as well? The words are all written in the same bible. The same bible that tells you, that you are forgiven, tells you also that you are healed. They are all God's words.

The Spoken Word

When do our angels go into action? At the spoken word of God. When God's word is given voice, they spring into action. I read this in Joseph Prince's Inspiration daily today, and I thought how true this is. I could have stayed in my misery with the enemy trying to attack me yesterday, but I chose instead to fight the enemy with the word of God and today the attack is over. AMEN!

If you are dealing with something that is stealing your joy, your happiness, your strength, then turn it over to God. Speak His word over your situation and the angels will go into action on your behalf and turn things around for you. Don't give in. It may not happen immediately, but it will happen.

There were times yesterday that I felt like I was getting worse, and those were the times that I would confess the word over myself and tell the devil, he was a liar, and my healing was already there no matter how he was trying to make me feel on the outside. AMEN!

PS 103 v 20....Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word......

Remember in all things give thanksgiving unto the LORD. Remember when Paul and Silas were in prison and in chains. They didn't just sit there and say woe is me, No, they sang songs of praise unto the LORD and gave Him thanksgiving.

Phil 4 v 6-7......Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus......

You see we have to give thanksgiving unto the LORD, and make our requests known unto Him through prayer and He will not only come to our defense but we will be given His peace which means no matter what things look like on the outside, we can have His peace and understanding knowing that all will be well with us. He will guard our hearts and our minds so that the enemy can not attack us there when we go to Him in prayer.

You see while you are praying to God in the Spirit, in His understanding, the devil has no understanding of what is being said. This is a prayer language between you and God. And this is what Paul and Silas did in prison,(Acts 16 v 25-26) and you see what happened, the earthquake came and shook their cell doors open and their chains loose. HALLELUJAH! In other words they were set free from their enemies.

You too can be set free from your enemies, by praying and giving thanks unto the LORD. AMEN!
Come out from whatever attack the enemy has on you. You have the power to set yourself free.

Under Attack

We are always willing and able to fight the enemy when we have something big come against us. But what about when we have a small head cold? The enemy has really been trying to attack me this week with a head cold. He all but about knocked me completely down yesterday. But this morning when I woke up feeling like *&%^!, I said NO, enemy you leave me alone. I am in excellent divine health, I will not have your sickness on my body, it does not belong to a child of God, and you can take it and leave now in the name of Jesus. AMEN!

We gotta stand up and show the enemy who is boss. RIGHT!

We have authority not him. If your child was sick, you would not just want him to suffer through it, and think well, he will feel better tomorrow, it is not that big of a deal, it is just a cold. No. You would never wish for your child to feel bad at all.

Our Father, our ABBA Father, Our Daddy God, does not want His children to feel bad either. He doesn't even want you to hurt a little bit. His word says He gives angels watch over you, so you can't even stump your toe, so if He would keep you from stumping your toe, don't you think He would keep you from feeling bad as well. He does not want you to suffer one day. His Son has already suffered for everything so we would not have to.

He didn't just suffer for that day only, He suffered for all mankind, so that we would NEVER have to. That is how much He loves you. AMEN! Oh yeh, the enemy will try to cause you to suffer, but you have to stand your ground with him, and let him know that you are the VICTOR! AMEN!

So when the changing of the seasons come, when the flu season starts up, when all these things of the world try to tell you, that it is that time of year and you will be afflicted, you just have to say NO I WILL NOT. AMEN! IT WILL NOT COME NEAR ME. AMEN!

PS 91 v 7.....A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you......

PS 91 v 11-12....For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone......

He said to keep you in ALL your ways, did He say, except when you catch a little cold, you can keep that, NO, He said in ALL your ways. He will keep us whole. AMEN!

Who Is Called

Have you ever thought of going on a mission trip? My answer was, "I just do not feel called to go into the mission field". Well, leave it to my child to inform me, that the word doesn't say anything about calling anybody to the mission field. There is no calling. The word says "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.

Mark 16 v 15...And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.....

Jesus was talking to His disciples. Who are His disciples? Every believer. You, me, we are all disciples and we are all told to go.

There you have it. No one is left out. You know how Jesus does not like to show partiality toward anyone. The word tells us we are all the same in His eyes. He didn't say, ok, I am going to give you healing power, and you I will give prosperity, and to you I will send into the mission field. NOPE! That is not what the word says. The word says God is no respector of men. He gives to all men equally.

For those of you who say I want to go, but I just can not afford to go. Well, I found that answer in the word as well.

2 Cor 8 v 10-12.....And in this I give advice: it is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have....

God will provide a way. He does not put a desire in your heart just so you can think about it, no, He says there will be a completion of it where there is a first willing mind to do it.

Don't forget to pray for Faye and Synthia and the others on the Kenya team as they will be leaving in Nov. for Kenya on a mission trip to the orphanage we support over there. Thank you from myself and them for your support, in prayers and finances.

If you have not yet sent in your blessings to help send them, then once again here is the info.

You can call Pastor Michael @ 1-336-766-9188 ext 235, or you can go online and give by contacting Pastor Michael @ pastormichael@agapefaith.com, make sure to note that you are donating for Faye Alston/Synthia/Kenya Trip and the money will be donated to their account. I know they got their tickets and now they are working on the last $1000 of their cost for the trip. God bless you for giving, and remember when you give, it is the same as your feet and hands going as well. AMEN!

These children in the orphanage have come so far. They literally raised up out of the dust when our missionary Wade Porter spotted them. He saw them rising up in the dust after he had passed by. He rescued them and now they are doing great, You can go to the Porter's website to see more. www.livingfaithinternational.com. They have been missionaries in Africa since 1987.
They are raising up and equipping children to lead and govern in their generation.Go online and see how you too can be a partner by investing in the destiny of Africa today. AMEN!

James 1 v 27....Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this; to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.....

Once again the word is speaking to every believer in this scripture, not just a select few. The word tells us we must be doers of the word and not hearers only. In other words to answer the question above, who is called? No one, but we are ALL told to go. AMEN!

Don't Rehearse It Curse It

This was not my caption, it was a lady in our class that came up with this saying. Don't rehearse it, curse it, and God will reverse it. How clever and how true. When we meditate on something, it will take over our thought process. If something is playing over in your mind, and it is not good, then it is of the devil. So quickly, curse it with the word of God, and He will reverse it.

When you have thoughts that are not of God, that are not good thoughts, thoughts that are bringing you down, they are like a mouse trap ready to spring the catch, and capture you. The weight of the cheese holds the mouse trap down, just like the weight of your problems hold you down. Stay away from those snares and traps of the devil, by meditating on God's word and replacing those bad thoughts with His word. When you do, the weight will be gone, and the trap can not be set. Don't keep playing the devil's words over and over in your mind, don't set the trap.

James 3 v 16...."for where envy and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.".....

The devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Recognize him for who he is. He is the author of confusion. When you find yourself being offended, realize it is the enemy and not the person you are dealing with. If you let yourself stay in a state of bitterness, offense, then you are letting the devil have authority over your thoughts, when you are the one who is in authority. You have authority over him. Use it!

Hebrews 4 v 12....."For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.".....

God's word will overide the devil any day. You just have to speak it.

Don't let your heart grow cold because you stay in an offended state of mind. When your heart grows cold, you will soon be unable to hear from God, unable to perceive and understand.

Don't separate yourself from God because you think you have been offended by someone. Quickly speak His word over your thoughts and cast the thoughts of the devil out of your mind.

Ephes. 4 v 32....."And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you".........

Romans 12 v 18...."If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men".....

The word tells us that offences will come, be ready for them with the word of God fresh on your mind and heart.

Luke 17 v 1...."Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come."......

Let Us Be Thankful

Tomorrow marks a day that we will all remember forever. A day of terroist acts that someone was brainwashed thinking they were doing acts of God. First of all God did not have anything to do with these acts. Second, let us be thankful for our men and women still fighting today to keep our country safe.

Showing thanks is not by committing other acts of hatred, like burning the (Quran) (Koran). Where is the Christianity in that? That ranks right up there with burning crosses in front of Churches, or in someone's yard who may not be of the same race as you are. You will not find the ok for any of these things in the word of God.

Next if you are lucky enough to work with veterans, then everyday you should be thankful that you are helping all those who made it home alive. Maybe not completely whole but alive. If you want to pay those veterans back for their service to YOU, then pray for those who you take care of everyday. Ask the LORD to bless each one with a sound mind and His peace. And if you are not fortunate enough to get to work with veterans, then please remember them and our active service men and women in your prayers each day.

PS 20 v 7-9....Some trust in charitots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright. Save Lord! May the King answer us when we call.....

PS 18 v 1-3...I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.....

PS 18 v 30....As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.....

God's way is proven. He will have His way. Peace will come. Our mission is to pray each day for peace in our nations. Pray for leaders everywhere to lead with the wisdom of God and not of man.

Instead of using words of condemnation toward leaders, ours and others, remember choose your words carefully. If you are constantly speaking negative things over these leaders then you are just coming into agreement with the enemy that this is who they are. Instead try praying in confidence for these leaders that God is in control. AMEN!

Let us pray for each other, friends and foe alike. AMEN!

Open Your Mouth Shut Your Mouth

Do you feel sometimes you are being told to be quiet, and then at the same time you are told to speak up?

There are times when we need to be quiet and just rest in the LORD. There are times when the enemy tries to get us riled up to where we speak out with the wrong words. Have you ever heard the saying you catch more flies with honey.
In other words sometimes when you think you need to give someone a piece of your mind, you would be better off, smiling politely and keeping quiet.

I heard Joyce Meyer say once that before she got to where she is now, she was always giving people a piece of her mind to where eventually there aren't any pieces left. Maybe we should all check how many pieces we have left and keep them. AMEN!

Pastor has been talking this week about what we say. These were the five points he gave us.

1.) What you say or how you say it can fuel an argument or put the fire out
2.) What you say can wound a cut or heal it
3.) What you say or how you say it can produce death or life
4.) What you say or how you say can produce delight and joy in someone's life
5.) What you say or how you say it can produce health or sickness

This is what we talk about when we say we need to put a watch on our words. Here are a few scriptrues he used for the first three. (we haven't gotten to the last two yet)

Prov. 15 v 1.....A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.....

Pastor pointed out that sometimes it could be something as simple as changing our tone of voice when we speak. Our tone of voice can sometimes make people think we are angry when we really are not. Sometimes it may mean replacing the words we are using with better words.

Prov 12 v 18...There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health....

Have you ever had someone say something to you that just pierced you to the heart. Something critical or ridiculing you? When we speak to someone if what we are not saying lifts them up, but instead tears them down, then this is one of those times we need to SHUT OUR MOUTHS.

Prov 12 v 25....Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad...

We never know what is going on in someone's life, what kind of day they may have had, where their feelings are at the moment. What we say can cause anxiety in a person and lead to depression or we can speak positive things into their life, with compliments and be generous with our words, and lift their spirits.

Prov 25 v 11....A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver....

Your words could make someone's day. You never know when you are speaking a timely word at just the right moment that person needed it. Would you not rather lift someone up than to tear them down. This is a time to OPEN OUR MOUTH and speak uplifting words to someone.

Prov. 16 v 24....Pleasant words are like a honeycomb. Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones....

God's word tells us that our words can be health to our bones. Good words can bring health to a person, the same way bad words can bring sickness.

Prov 18 v 21....Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit....

Pastor showed us where the word tongue here is also translated as the word hand. In other words, you are either handing out life or death with your words. He also showed us where the word love means to meditate. In other words the words you meditate on is what you will have.

We need to meditate on the good things. We need to use good words when talking to others and when speaking over our own lives. Speak health and life and happiness into someone's life today. Whoever you encounter today, speak good things unto them, and see God at work.

Phil. 4 v 8.....Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things....

We talked about sowing our seeds yesterday and reaping our harvest. Our words are also seeds that we sow. Don't sow weeds with bad words, but sow a meadow of good words. Reap the harvest. AMEN!

Go ahead MAKE SOMEONE"S DAY with your words today.

Harvest Time

Fall is coming and it is Harvest time. Time to harvest all the bounty of your labor. Time to harvest from the seeds you have sown. Harvest time is not just for harvesting your fruits from the ground but also the fruits from your labor in His kingdom.

How much have you sown this year into His kingdom? How many seeds did you sow into missionary fields? How many seeds did you sow into someone's life who was struggling? How many seeds did you sow into your church home for special projects? How many children did you sponsor to go to camp? What kind of seeds did you sow this year?

These are all just examples of ways to sow and reap. What sort of bounty will you be reaping this harvest season?

God made a covenant with creation after the flood. He made a promise about seedtime and harvest.

Gen. 8 v 22....."While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, Winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease".............

So as surely as there is a day and a nighttime, as surely as there is still an earth, where there are seeds sown, there will be a harvest. AMEN!

The seeds you sow, you will reap a harvest.

2 Cor 9 v 6.....But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.......

2 Cor 9 v 7-8.....So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.....

God is able to give you a great harvest for what you have sown cheerfully. You will have sufficient enough in all things, and an abundance overflowing will He give back to you. AMEN!

Gal. 6 v 7.....Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he also shall reap....

Gal. 6 v 9-10....And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith...

When you are given an opportunity to give, God is giving you a way to be blessed. He is showing you the law of giving, how when you help others, He will multiply back to you in due season. You can not outgive God. If you have lack in your life God will give you a way out, through your giving. AMEN!

Numbers 23 v 19....God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?........

Harvest time should be an exciting time for all Christians. God will make sure their seed is fruitful. AMEN!

Mal. 3 v 11...."And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," says the Lord of Hosts......

When seed is put into fertile ground it will grow and multiply, and God has said that He will not allow the devourer to eat your seed, but first the seed has to be sown.

The farmer does not sit on the porch and wait for the corn to come up, when he never put any seed in the ground. If he does he will be waiting forever, because without seed, harvest will not come. AMEN!

My prayer for each of the tid-bit readers today is this from 2 Cor.

2 Cor. 9 v 10......Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness......

May you never have any lack in your life, and may the SON shine down upon your face with His unmerited, undeserved, unearned grace and fulfill all your desires.
May each of you always know and understand fully the LOVE with which God loves you and may you see a bountiful harvest this season. AMEN!

Don't Be Too Quick To Speak

This one really steps on my toes. How many times have you said something, then wished you could take it back? That is what happens when we are too quick to speak. Now most of you are probably thinking that I am talking about saying something that might would hurt someone's feelings. Well, that is true too. But no, I am talking about mostly speaking over yourself.

This lesson has to do with the spoken word of God. We see in Hebrews where it tells us the world was framed by God's word. When studied out, this verse is referring to the Rhema Word, or the spoken word. In other words God spoke and it was. When we read in Genesis, God says, let there be light, and there it is. Let there be land and there it is. That is the rhema word, the spoken word of God. The bible is the logos word. The written word of God. But when we speak out the logos word with faith, it becomes the rhema word the spoken word of God. AMEN!

Hebrews 11 v 3.....By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.....

Gen. 1 v 3....Then God said, "Let there be light", and there was light.......

When we speak something with faith, meaning we believe what we are saying, then we are speaking that into our lives or the lives of others. When we say everyday, I am so tired, I can hardly put one foot in front of the other, then we will be tired everyday, and we will hardly be able to walk. When we say, everyday this job is driving me crazy, or this job is wearing me out, then that job is going to drive you crazy or wear you out.

When we speak we must think about what we are saying, and instead of confessing bad, negative words over our lives, we must start confessing good words, calling those things that are not as if they were.

Don't keep telling yourself you do not know how you are going to get by, that you do not have enough money to pay your bills, because then you will never have enough money to pay your bills. Start confessing that you have more than enough, that you have the riches and glory of Christ Jesus, that you are of royalty, you are the heir to a throne higher than any other. You will always have enough and then some so that you may give back to those who have not. AMEN!

Don't worry about what others are saying or thinking about you when you confess these things that are not yet, because they will be, when you keep confessing the word of God with faith believing that what you say is true. The word tells us that people will think us (children of God) as a peculiar people. Be proud to be a peculiar person in God. AMEN!

If you need healing in your body, speak it out as though you are already healed. Because in fact the healing is already there, Jesus has already taken care of that. You just have to speak it out and believe that what you say is true. You have facts and you have the TRUTH, the word of God is TRUTH. Sometimes it may go against your facts, but God's word is TRUTH. So you can take a stand and believe your facts or you can take a stand and believe God's TRUTH. AMEN!

So here is the TRUTH, God created the heavens and the earth by speaking them into existence. God created man in His image, (you did not come from an ape) and God spoke those things that were not as if they already were and then they were. You have the same power in your words. Jesus gave you the same power as He himself has, when He left you with His Holy Spirit dwelling within each of us. When you accepted Him as your personal savior, you were given then His Holy Spirit, His dunamis power. (dunamis meaning dynamite power) AMEN!

Prov 18 v 21....Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit....

1 Pet 2 v 1.......Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy and all evil speaking.....

Some people read this scripture and think that evil speaking means cursing or talking ugly. What evil speaking is, is when you are speaking evil into your life or the lives of others. The cursing you are doing here is saying negative things about yourself or a loved one. When you speak sickness, disease, poverty, these are the evil things this scripture is talking about. When you speak things like, so and so has cancer, or so and so is going down quick, or these kids will never amount to anything, those are forms of evil speaking. God says put it away from you, in other words do not say or repeat these things.

Everytime you say something like that you are confessing that and coming into agreement with the enemy on that lie. That is why the WORD tells us guard our hearts and to watch our words. Because you are opening up your heart to the enemy who will attack you with your words. When you speak evil things you are giving him power.

Why not speak God's WORD over yourself instead, He has a greater power than the enemy will ever have. When you speak and confess His WORD and believe it you will not be defeated. AMEN!

You have more power than you could ever imagine in your spoken words. Be careful with your words. Speak them in faith knowing that God's word is truth, but also put a watch over your mouth that you do not speak the wrong things into your life. If you will renew your mind with the word of God, you will change the way you speak. AMEN!

IF HE SHOWS YOU, IT'S HIS HEART

There are no accidents with God. Everything God does is on purpose. AMEN!

If you cross a missionary's path then God is showing you His heart in this area. So when the missionary shares what they are doing what they need, and you are wondering if you should contribute, then let me say this. If God makes known to you something, then He is showing you His will, He is showing you His heart about this matter. So if you are questioning whether or not you need to give something or not, then you are asking yourself the wrong question, the question is how much would God have you to give? AMEN!

He didn't place you in church at the same time as the missionary speaking for no reason. You didn't just accidentally go to church that night or to hear a missionary speak somewhere . Know this, if God brought them acoss your path, then He is showing you His heart in that area. He is giving you an opportunity to be blessed, by the blessing you give. AMEN!

Proverbs 19 v 17....He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given.....

Romans 11 v 35....Or who has first given to Him, and it shall be repaid to him......

Ephes. 4 v 28....."Let him who stole, steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need......

Luke 6 v 38....Give and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you....

Numbers 23 v 19.... God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent, Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?.....

God is telling us through His word, that when you give, He will repay. He says we are to take care of the widows and orphans. He tells the widow when her husband dies, He is now head of her household. He will provide.

God is showing us His heart in His word. His heart is in giving. Love is all about giving of ourselves and our resources. You can not out-give God.

What has God put on your heart today? Where will you send your seed? You never know just how much God is doing with your seed. You don't know where your seed is going. You may think you know, but you may only see what is right before you. That seed continues to multiply as God uses it.

Confessing The Right Words

When we confess things over ourselves, we want to make sure we are confessing the right words. The bible teaches us how important it is that we call those things that are not as though they were. Here is an example of something I heard this morning that really hit home with me in particular.

When we are changing our life style to get our bodies into a more healthy state, and weight, we should not be saying things like, I only have 20 lbs to lose, because you are confessing that you will always have 20lbs to lose. Instead we should be saying I am a healthy weight of 125 or whatever your weight should be. We need to lose the word diet because we are confessing ourselves to always be on a diet. We need to start confessing what we are suppose to be, and changing our lifestyle to have the healthy body God intended for us to have.

We should be confessing thanks to the Lord for all good things, instead of trying to confess our sins and keep ourselves in condemnation. That is not the Lord's will or plan for your life. If you continue to confess your sins, you continue to speak that over yourself.

It all goes back to Abram and Sarai when God told them at the healthy ages of 100 and more that they would be bearing a child and from this child would come many nations. What did God do? He changed Abram's name to Abraham which means father of many nations, and He changed Sarai's name to Sarah and said she would be mother of nations.

We need to quit using nick names unless they are taking the place of a name that doesn't have any meaning. For instance I use this as an example because I call my son Josh instead of Joshua. When in fact his name actually does have good meaning. Joshua means God saves. So now I will only call him Joshua instead of Josh. That is just an example.

What do you need in your life? Start confessing that you have it instead of that you need it. If you keep saying you need it, then you will always need it. On the other hand, if you continue to confess you have it even when you do not, it will come to pass. AMEN!

If I continue to confess my weight is 125lbs or less and my waist size is 31" or less, and I believe that what I say will come to pass, then my body has to line up with what I am saying when I mix what I am saying with faith. When your words are mixed with faith then what you are saying will come to pass. Just like if you keep saying I have 20 lbs to lose and you believe that then you will always have 20 lbs to lose. Are you getting it?

Genesis 17 v 1-6....When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appreared to Abram and said to him, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless., and I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly." Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him saying; As for Me, behold My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you....

Well we know the story, Sarai tried to help God out by sending her maid Hagar into Abram and from them was born a son Ishmael. This was not God's plan. He told Abram he and Sarai would be parents. He told them that Sarah would be mother of nations, not Hagar.

Genesis 17 v 15-16.....Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be from her."......

Remember Abraham was 100 and Sarah was 90 and has been barren all her life. So what does Abraham do? He tries to tell God, that He must mean Ishmael will be the one to carry on the lineage. You see, he already had Ishmael by Hagar, he could see this in reality but he was questioning God on him having another son by Sarah. Don't we all do that? Don't we look at our circumstances and try to put our trust there instead of what the word says? But God says no, Sarah will give you a son and you shall call his name Issac and from him shall come your descendants.

And then we all know the story of Issac and Abraham going up the mount so that Abraham could sacrifice Issac to God, but the whole while knowing that God said many nations would come from Issac, so he knew that God would provide the sacrifice and it would not be Issac, as no descendants had yet came from him. That is faith in what God says to be true, and not faith in your circumstances. AMEN!

So if any others are out there like me, changing your life style to a healthy life style, changing your weight to a healthy weight, changing your waistline to a healthy waistline (this being more important than your actual weight) (to get your healthy waist size, take your height in inches and divide by 2) then start confessing that you already are the size you need to be. Don't take your measurements then start thinking immediately how much you need to lose, no start confessing the size you need to be as though you already are that size. Don't go the other way, as you would be putting condemnation on yourself. And that is the enemy's way of keeping you where you are. The enemy knows the importance of your words. Start confessing divine health over yourself, and your lifestyle will change as you confess the right words over yourself. AMEN!

Now don't confess while eating your twinkies and drinking your pop. Renew your mind with the word of God, and change your lifestyle with the renewing of your mind and with your words lining up with His word. AMEN!

STAY IN THE WORD!
