Don't Be A Grumbler

The word tells us not to grumble against each other. In other words don't talk about or complain about others. When you do you grieve the Holy Spirit within you. When the Holy Spirit is grieved your prayers are hindered. When we are not walking in LOVE toward each other, we are grieiving the Holy Spirit.

James 5 v 9....Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned, behold the Judge is standing at the door!....

Ephes. 4 v 29-32...Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.....

We must forgive each other and walk in LOVE toward our neighbor (meaning everyone) so that we may be in one accord with GOD. We must be thankful in all things, rejoicing in the LORD always. AMEN!

Colossians 3 v 12-15....therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection, and let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you also were called in one body; and be thankful....

The next time you are praying for something and you do not see the answer coming, maybe you should check your love walk toward your neighbors (everyone). AMEN! We all fall off of our love walk every now and then, the important thing is that we get back on track, and not stay in unforgiveness of another. AMEN!

1 Cor. 13 v 2-3....And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing....

1 Cor. 13 v 8a...LOVE NEVER FAILS....

Who is love? GOD! God never fails, so if you are walking in God's forgiveness and His love for others, then you can not fail at whatever you set out to accomplish. AMEN!

Read 1 Cor. Chapter 13 and gain wisdom on what LOVE is, and how love works. AMEN! Then the next time someone upsets you, don't grumble about it, but instead walk in love toward that person, and you will not fail. God's love is stronger than anything and has more power and will always win out. AMEN! As a child of GOD, you have that same love in you. AMEN!

Don't Run, Stand Your Ground

When some sort of sickness comes around you, do you run and try to hide your head in the sand, and ignore it? Or do you stand on the Word of God and stand your ground, knowing that Jesus has already defeated that battle. AMEN!

Prov. 28 v 1.....The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion....

We are the righteousness of Christ Jesus. We do not have to flee, because we have the annointing of Christ on us, and by His stripes we were healed. Remember, He said "it is finished".

Those who do not know Christ will flee and run from doctor to doctor from place to place on the earth seeking a cure, but we have the cure inside of us already for anything that may try to come against us. AMEN!! I am not saying that there is anything wrong with going to the doctor if that is where your faith is. Doctors are good. I believe God gave doctors wisdom so that they can help those who can not quite grasp the fact that they are already healed. Remember, God's will is that no one should perish, even those who do not believe. AMEN!

John 3 v 17....For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved....

John 10 v 27-28.....My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand...

In other words, God says, the enemy (sickness, disease, corruption, etc) will not snatch His children away from Him. When we hear His voice and have FAITH in what He says, we will not be overcome, we will follow His instructions. We already have the VICTORY through Jesus. AMEN!

IS 54 v 17..."No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from ME" says the Lord.....

The word doesn't say that things will not try to form against you, it says that they will not prosper. He says your righteousness is from HIM. AMEN! He gives you the authority over your enemy. AMEN!

IS 54 v 11....So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it......

HALLELUJAH!

Do you think it pleases God for His children to be stricken with cancer or heart disease or diabetes or any of the other worldly enemies? NO, it does not please Him. He said, His word is not a lie, and it shall please Him in the thing for which He sent it.

HELLO!!!!!!! He sent His Word, His Son to die for you on the cross, so that you would not have to suffer these things. He said by HIS STRIPES YOU WERE HEALED.. AMEN! Jesus is God's WORD. AMEN!

John 1v 1......In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD....

IS. 53 v 5....But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed....

1 Pet 2 v 24....who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by Whose stripes you were healed.....

Gal. 3 v 13...Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, (for it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree")......

So those of us who live under the BLOOD who have accepted Jesus as our Savior have been redeemed from all the curses in the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy. We are blessed with the blessings of Abraham. With a long and satisfied life. AMEN!

Ephes. 6 v 13...Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to STAND....

The enemy will not come quietly against you, he will come with force, we need to be ready and STAND against him with the POWER of GOD's WORD. AMEN.

Read your blessings everyday, and receive them, knowing that God's Word is TRUTH. AMEN!

Safety In His Presence

We have safety from all pestilence, all sicknesses, diseases, poverty, lack, any destruction. We are promised safety from these things when we abide in His presence. AMEN! When we make God our refuge, our cover instead of running for cover somewhere in the natural realm of the world, we are promised safety. In other words when we put our trust in God and His word we can be in peace knowing that we are safe.

PS 91 v 1-2....He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress. My God, in Him, I will trust."...

Can you even imagine being in God's shadow. Who can touch God, therefore who can touch you when you are in His shadow? How do you get to be in His shadow? By staying in His word, and being obedient to His word through FAITH.

PS 91 v 3-4....Surely, He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth (word) shall be your sheild and your buckler (armor)......

WOW!, God has you covered from head to toe. Use His word to say it is written, just as Jesus did when the devil tried to snare Him, and deceive Him. You have the same words Jesus had to free you from the fowler. You have the same words, that heal you, that keep destruction away from you, as long as you abide in His presence. (In other words, to be obedient to what God's word says, how are you obedient by having FAITH in His word.)

PS 91 v 7.....A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you....

When we as children of God have FAITH in what His word says, we are no longer counted as statistics. It doesn't matter what the circumstances say, or what the world tells you, you are free from the curse according to His word, and His word says if you abide in Him, you can not be touched with sickness, disease, pestilence of any kind. AMEN!

Gal. 3 v 13-14....Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written), "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree") that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through Faith.......

What is the curse?
Deut. 28 v 61....also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law....(this is part of the curse, that we have been redeemed from by the BLOOD) AMEN!

PS 91 v 9-10....Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the MOST HIGH, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall ANY plague come near your dwelling......

Every day we should ask GOD to send His mighty warrior angels down to surround us and keep us from even stumping our toe. AMEN! (These are not little cute cherub angels, these are Mighty Warrior Angels working for GOD)

PS 91 v 11-12.....For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways, In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone....

What does God have to say about all this? Glad you asked.

PS 91 v 14-16...."Because he has set his love upon ME, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known MY name. He shall call upon ME, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him MY salvation."

Put your name everywhere this verse says him.

My question today is where are you dwelling? In the world or in the WORD?

He Is Not Still On The Cross

Jesus is ALIVE today. He is not still on the cross, He is not still in the tomb, He is ALIVE and seated at the right hand of the FATHER in Heaven. He left His Holy Spirit with us to dwell with us here on earth until we are with Him and the Father in Heaven.

How do you think the Holy Spirit feels about that? I can just see Him telling Jesus, WAIT a minute, why do I have to stay with these unbelievers? Why do I have to try to keep them straight and out of trouble? You stay, and let me go be with the Father.

Jesus says, You are My Spirit, I AM You, You are ME, We are the FATHER. We are three in one. AMEN!

Of course I am just teasing here. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the LORD and He does not have any problem staying here with us, and guiding us and leading us each day. The problem is whether or not we accept Him and have Faith and believe that Christ has left His Spirit with us.

John 14 v 15-17......"If you love Me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you......

John 14 v 26......But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.....

When we receive Jesus as our Lord, He gives us the Holy Spirit to stay with us forever. He is our guide. How do we know this when we can't see Him. Through Faith in Jesus Christ and what He says.

Jesus was crucified, he breathed His last breath on the cross. Then He was carried away and prepared for burial and placed in a tomb.

Luke 23 v 44-46.....Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.' Having said this, He breathed His last.....

Luke 23 v 52-53.....This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before.....

PRAISE GOD, HE DIDN"T STAY THERE> AMEN!!!

Jesus went down into the depths of Hell and defeated DEATH so that we would never have to.

1 Cor 15 v 54.....So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

1 Cor 15 v 57.....But thanks be to God, who gives us the "VICTORY" through our Lord Jesus Christ.....

HALLELUJAH!!!

Celebrate this Easter knowing that Jesus is Risen and He is ALIVE and we will be with Him one day. AMEN!

John 14 v 1-4....."Let not your heart b e troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know"....

John 14 v 6........Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.".......

Praise God, this Easter celebrate the Resurrection of Christ and your eternal life with Him. AMEN!

WE ARE FORGIVEN

All this week, I have heard different people teaching on the forgiveness of sins. Maybe because Easter is coming or should we call it Resurrection Sunday? AMEN! There was one profound statement that really jumped out at me, and I thought if only people could get it.

We do not have to keep asking over and over for forgiveness of sins, once we came to Jesus and asked Him for forgiveness we were forgiven for all of our sins, past, present and future. And now let me try to put it to you like I heard it, so that you can have peace and know that you are forgiven once and for all. AMEN!

John 3 v 16-17....For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not give His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.....

I know you have heard that verse a million times, but now I want you to really look at something.
Pay close attention!

GOD, gave His Son, so that you might live. He loved you enough to offer His only Son as a sacrifice once and for all. He gave Him knowing that He would have to die on a cross for the forgiveness of ALL sin, past, present, and future. Do you think He would let His Son die just for the present sin at that time, or just for what you confess when you come to Him? NO, the reason being, we are humans, we are going to sin again and again, we may even sin without fully even recognizing that we have sinned. Do you think that God would have wasted His Son's life knowing us like He does, knowing that we would sin again?

Let me ask you like this, if you are a parent and the only way you could save everyone from death was to let your child die for all their mistakes, would you do it knowing that those people are going to make more mistakes later? Would you let them have your child's blood just for the moment? NO!

Well, then God who knows how to love so much more than we do, would not let His only Son die just for the moment.

1 Pet 2 v 24.....who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins might live for righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed....

He took our sins into His body, so that they would be covered by His blood. AMEN! Christ knew NO sin, so the only sins He died for, was ours. AMEN!

Romans 6 v 10-11......For the death that He died, He died to sin once and for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our LORD. .......

Hebrews 7 v 27.....who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself....

HALLELUJAH!
You are forgiven. When Jesus said, "It is finished", He meant it. He is not going to change His mind now. God does not want you crucifying His Son over and over again trying to confess what you have already been forgiven for. Just like He only had to die once and for all, you only have to come to Him and ask and mean it with your heart once. AMEN!

He counts Jesus, (His Son's) blood good enough to cover whatever sins you have committed, past, present and future. Why can't you? Who are we to try to think we can pay a bigger price than what Jesus has already paid for us, who are we to question the price God set, which was His Son's blood. AMEN!

If you have never made Jesus, Lord of your life, if you have never asked Him for forgiveness and given your life to Him once and for all, what better time than now, when we remember what He did on the cross for us. AMEN!

Missed Opportunity

How many times have we missed an opportunity to be blessed by the Lord?
How many times have we been just about to get our miracle only to grow weary and give in to our circumstances and start believing in what we see instead of having faith in what God tells us? How many times has the Lord put an opportunity for us to rise up and be all we can be only to let someone's negative words tell us differently?

Let us not be like the virgins with the lamps of oil, let us keep our oil replenished and our lamps burning brightly for the LORD. AMEN! And if you have not yet made that decision to accept the LORD, do it now. Don't miss your opportunity. AMEN!

Matthew 25 v 1-13....Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard; "Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!" Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, 'give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you, but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward, the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us! But He answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you." "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."........

1.) Don't depend on someone else to get you to where you are going
2.) Don't be lazy and put off for tomorrow what you can take care of today
3.) Don't wait until it is too late to decide, only to be turned away in the final day

In other words, don't miss your opportunity. AMEN!

See, Taste, Hear, Smell, Touch

Heb. 5 v 14....But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil....

As Christians we must use all of our five senses to discern between good and evil. We must be mature in our senses. In other words we can not stay on milk like new Christians but rather we need every Word of God to help us to grow and mature. We need to get back to the basics and quit making something so simple, so difficult as to how we are to live our lives as Christians.

I am just going to give a few verses to show you what I mean, the direction I am trying to go with this and then you can take it from there and open up your Bible and get the instructions for yourself. Feed on His Word. AMEN!

Matthew 5 v 8...Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.....

1 Sam 16 v 7....But the Lord said to Samuel, do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart......

We being children of God should now be able to see with our hearts, and with the compassion of Christ and not with our natural sight. AMEN!

Ps. 34 v 8...Oh taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him...

PS 119 v 103... How sweet are Your Words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth....

We are blessed who taste of His word. AMEN. How can we taste of the sweetness and then allow bitterness in ourselves?

PS 85 v 8....I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints;.......

Ephe. 4 v 29.....Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers....

This verse includes you as being one of the hearers of what you say.

Gal. 3 v 2...This only I want to learn from you; did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?.....

Rom 10 v 17...So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God....

Without the Word, we might as well not hear. If all you hear is what is going on around you, and you are not in the Word of God daily hearing what He has to say, you would be better off not hearing. AMEN!

2 Cor. 2 v 15....For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing....

Ephes. 5 v 1-2....Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma.....

We want to always be a sweet smelling aroma to God, and we can only be that by following His Word. AMEN!

Acts 8 v 17...Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit....

2 Tim. 1 v 6....Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.....

God's word is full of instructions on how to live day by day, we are called to be ambassadors of Christ, we need to be out there exercising our senses, and using them for the LORD. Please read and study the Word on each of your senses. Notice the Word will tell us what to not look upon, what not to taste, what not to listen to and who to stay away from so that life will go well for us. AMEN!

Ephes. 5 v 3-10....But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolator, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the LORD. Walk as children of light for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, finding out what is acceptable to the LORD.......

We want all the fruits of the Spirit. AMEN!

History, Fiction or TRUTH

How do you read the bible? Do you read it as a history book about things that happened long ago? Do you read it as fiction with little stories that are just fiction? Or do you read it as the TRUTH? That every word in the bible is the unfallible word of God?

Do you take this page out and only believe this page so that it works for you and your lifestyle?

Let's look at it this way. If you don't believe in tithing and what God says about tithing, then just tear those pages out of your bible. Or how about healing? If you believe healing was just for those days the bible was written, or miracles were just for those days, then go ahead and tear those pages out. I mean they are not for you if you don't believe. AMEN!

Now what about Salvation? Oh, you believe those scriptures, ok well leave those pages in there.

Now you got your bible just like you want it, just what you believe in. Good! Now let me ask you, how can you believe or have FAITH in the pages you left because they were all inspired by God, and the bible is God's Word, so His Word must not mean much to you, if you can't believe everything He says.

Right! I mean how can you believe that He is telling the TRUTH about salvation, but not the truth about the other things He spoke? How can you have Faith that you will be in heaven with Him one day if you do not believe and have Faith in every Word He spoke? AMEN!

What I am trying to say is when you take out one chapter you are cheating yourself out of God's Word on your life. His wisdom for living your everyday life. His love for every area of your life. AMEN!

Get back into His word and look at the begiinings of each book and then study out each book and see what God has to say.

You can not have Faith in just what you want to be true, your Faith has to be in the one who said it. Your Faith has to be in God Himself. AMEN!

Hebrews 11 v 3....By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the WORD of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.....

Hebrews 11 v 6....But without FAITH it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.....

Numbers 23 v 19....God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?...

In other words His Word is His Truth. All of it. He is not going to change His Word or His mind to make it what you believe. His Word is unchanging. AMEN!

The Ark

Who was on the Ark? We know by the word of God that Noah, his wife, and Noah's 3 sons and their wives were the only people on the ark.

Gen. 6 v 17-18....and behold I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breadth of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. But I will establish My covenant with you and you shall go into the ark, you, your sons, your wife and your son's wives with you.......

Gen. 7 v 13....On the very same day Noah and Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark......

So we have six people on the ark, all related. All in relationship with each other. I say this to bring out a point about the word relationship. My pastor made a comment about this word this week and it started me to thinking.

Relationship means .........relation, or relative then you have ship .....boat, all the relations on the boat together. HA!

Well that just sparked me to remember the first big ship. The Ark. And then who was on the ark, Noah and his relatives.

What family was Noah born into? Adam & Eve had a son called Seth, and Seth begot Enosh, Enosh begot Cainan, Cainan begot Mahalalel, Mahalalel begot Jared, Jared begot Enoch, Enoch begot Methuselah, Methuselah begot Lamech, and Lamech begot Noah.

When we look at the ages these men lived to be before the flood, the average age was 900 years old. Then after the flood the ages started to decline until finally leveling off at around 120 years old. It makes you stop and wonder did the flood take vital nutrients out of the earth, that caused men to have shorter life spans? Or did the disobedience of men toward God shorten their life spans?

The Word tells us how to live, in obedience, so that we may live out our days long, and have blessed lives. AMEN!

Deut. 7 v 12-15a....Then it shall come to pass, because you listen to these judgements, and keep and do them that the LORD your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers. And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you. You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known,.....

So what is He telling us here? He is telling us that if we are obedient to Him, it will go well with us. Now I know that we are no longer under the law but under the blood of Jesus, but we still have the two greatest commandments given us by Jesus and if we keep those then we will just naturally keep the rest of them. AMEN!

Matt. 22 v 37-40...."Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it; 'you shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."....

In other words Jesus hung on the cross for all the law so that you are no longer under the law but under His blood. AMEN!

This day and time everyone is trying to eat better, and live healthier lives. The first step is to get back into His word and read how He tells us to live. Pay attention to how Jesus ate, and lived His life while here on earth, and you can't help but be blessed with a stronger and healthier life. AMEN!

Who's On Watch

Who's on watch over your thinking, your speaking, your praying? Think about that for a minute. Do you gaurd what you think, what you say, or when you are praying, do you gaurd your minds, and stay focused on your prayer time?

The word says that death and life are in the power of the tongue. In other words what we say is what we are meditating on, and what we meditate on is what we bring about. People are always talking about positive thinking brings about good things, well the same is true for negative thinking.

Prov. 18 v 21..... Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit....

You will eat the fruit of what you say.
If we guard our minds, we can guard our thoughts and therefore gaurd our lips and what we say.
Most importantly we can guard our prayer time. Jesus asked His disciples while in the garden of Gethsemane, can't you even pray with me for one hour? They kept falling asleep, where was their gaurd, who was on watch in their minds, in other words who was keeping them from praying with Jesus?

Matt. 26 v 40-41....Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "WHAT! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.."....

When you are in a prayer time do you look around, talk to your neighbor, get up and walk out, start fidgeting or thinking on something other than what you are suppose to be praying about. In other words, are you not on watch with the LORD, and lifting up the prayers to the Father? Who are you on watch for if not for Him?

It all begins with our minds, and where we are in our thinking. AMEN!

Job 38 v 36...Who has put wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding to the heart?

Is. 26 v 3....You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.....

Matt. 22 v 37...Jesus said "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.".....

Luke 12 v 29..."and do not seek what you shall eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind"....

Rom. 12 v 2a....and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,.....

1 Cor. 2 v 16....For who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.....

Phil. 2 v 5....let this mind be in you which also was in Christ Jesus.....

Col. 3 v 2...Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth....

2 Tim 1 v 7...For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind...

Heb. 8 v 10...For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God and they shall be My people....

1 Pet 1 v 13...therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.....

It is very important that we gird up the loins of our minds. When we put on the armour of God, we must protect our minds above all else. We must keep our minds on Christ and His thoughts and His words, and let them become our thoughts and our words. AMEN!

Which Way Do I Go

Which way do you go? Do you follow the word of God or the way of the world?

The way we should all be going is to follow God and how His word tells us to live.

Prov. 4 v 20-22....My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh......

Don't wait for a crisis to happen to you before you begin to search what God has to say about it, or worse start seeking advice from the world. Don't get in a panic and then start trying to find the scripture to help you through it. Know what God says in His word, know what His instructions are to you. In other words don't be like the one species (we won't say which one) who never reads the directions until after many many tries at putting something together and realize they can not do it without instructions! We all at some time in our lives need instructions, and the best place to get these are from the word of GOD. AMEN!

Prov. 4 v 23-27....Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your feet from evil.....

We need to keep our eyes on Him at all times, in the good times and the bad. We need to make sure we keep our feet on His path, and make sure that we are living in His ways and not the ways of the world. AMEN!

God tells us that His words are health to our flesh. He tells us to choose life. That is the way we need to go. If the Light is not where you are going, then there is no life in that way.

Deut. 30 v 19-20a.....I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the LORD your GOD, that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days......

Ps 27 v 1....The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?....

Ps 119 v 105...Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.....

1 John 1 v 5....This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that "God is light and in Him is no darkness at all."

1 John 1 v 7....If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin....

Look for the Light in God's words and find life and then you will know which way to go. AMEN!

First Fruits of all Your Increase

All the way back beginning in the book of Genesis, God tries to tell us how to give unto Him. What offerings are pleasing unto Him. We seem to all remember the story of Cain and Abel, how one brother killed the other, but the story actually starts out with their offering. Cain offered up to God some produce of his harvest, but Abel offered up the first fruits of his flock. God was not happy with Cain's offering because it was not his best, but then Cain gets angry and jealous with Abel because God respected his offering of his first fruits, because it was his best. God even gave Cain a chance to make it right, and He let him know if he didn't he would allow sin to lie at his door waiting for a chance to destroy him. (which is what happened). AMEN!

Gen. 4 v 3-4....And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD. Abel also brought of the first- born of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering, .........

Gen. 4 v 7...."If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it"............

Then God tells us further over in the book of Leviticus more about giving. Look in the 23rd chapter where he tells us what part of our harvest to save and why.

Lev. 23 v 10...."Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them; 'When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest.....

Lev. 23 v 22...."When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger; I am the Lord your God.".....

Who is He talking about here when He says the poor and the stranger? I believe He is referring to those in your community who lack as the poor, and the stranger I believe are the people in the mission field, the people we help across the earth who are lacking. In other words God is saying here, do not spend your last dime just because you have it, but remember those who have not and save some for them.

Mal. 3 v 8..."Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, in what way have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings. .....

Ephes. 4 v 28...."Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need"....

Prov. 3 v 9....Honor the LORD with your possesions, and with the first-fruits of all your increase;....

What happens when you please God with your tithes and your offerings?

Prov. 3 v 10....So that your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.....

Mal. 3 v 10....Bring all the tithes into the store house, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the LORD of Hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it"...........

Mal. 3 v 11....."And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," says the LORD of hosts,......

What happens if we do not give as we are instructed to give?

Mal. 3 v 9....You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.".....

Remember what the last part of Gen. 4 v 7 says, you shall rule over it......

Gen. 4 v 5.....but He did not repsect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell......

In what spirit are we to give our offerings unto the LORD?

2 Cor. 9 v 6-9.....But this I say; He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: "He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor, His righteousness endures forever.".....

So now the question is to you, how will you give the next time you are asked? Better yet will you have to be asked, or will you have already purposed in your heart what to give? Will you give with a cheerful heart the first-fruits of all your increase? What will you purpose in your heart to give unto the LORD? More importantly, how will God receive your offering?

Does Your Neighbor Know The Truth

Does the person sitting next to you right now, or working close by you, or riding on the bus with you, know the Truth? Does that person know who Jesus is? Does that person even care? Or more importantly do you even care whether or not that person knows Jesus?

John 14 v 6.....Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."......

How many of you have watched the movie "The Passion"? I encourage you to watch it so that you may get just a small glimpse of how much Jesus loves you. You may say that movie is too hard to watch, well think how hard it was to live that story. Amen! Jesus did not HAVE to go to that cross, He didn't HAVE to let them beat Him until the flesh was hanging off His back, He did not HAVE to have a crown of thorns crammed onto His head until it bled. But He did. Why? Because He knew in order to save us from our sinful selves, so that we might be able to live with Him and the Father one day for all eternity, this is what it would take, Him fullfilling God's will and not His own.

He had to die to Himself and be obedient to the Father's will. There is no one on this earth that could ever love you as much as Jesus and the Father loves you. NO ONE! Not your kids, not your spouse, not your best friend. NO ONE!

God knew that we could not fullfill His laws on our own, so He sent His only Son to fullfill them once and for all. And He left us with the two greatest commandments to keep and His Holy Spirit to guide us, to counsel us in our choices.

Matthew 22 v 37-40...Jesus said to Him, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it; 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."..........

Once Jesus hung on that cross, you are no longer under the Law but under the BLOOD. If you keep the two greatest commandments the rest of the Law will just come naturally. You can not fail in the other commandments if you are walking in these two. AMEN!

You may say, I have sinned against the other commandments. Guess what, we all have. But GOD still loves you the same as if you kept them all perfectly. All you have to do is ask for His forgiveness through Christ Jesus and accept that Jesus' blood covered your sin, and that He died and rose again on the third day and is seated at the right hand of the Father. That He is the propitiation for your sins. (that He sacrificed His life for yours). And then repent of your sins, and go and live as a new man unto Christ Jesus. In other words change inside and outwardly so that others may see Christ Jesus in you. And give God the praise and the glory for your new life. AMEN!

1 John 2 v 2....And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world......

That would be your neighbor, the whole world, the person next to you on the bus, the co-worker, the person in front of you in the line at the supermarket. EVERYONE! Love your neighbor today and tell them about JESUS and the love He has for them. AMEN!

Don't Leave Home Without It

Don't leave home without what, you might say. Don't leave home without your Sheild. What Shield? I am glad you asked. Your Sheild of FAITH. Who is the Sheild of your FAITH? GOD!

Gen. 15 v 1.......After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your Shield, your exceedingly great reward.".....

Deut. 33 v 29......"Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, The Shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, and you shall tread down their high places."......

2 Sam 22 v 3.....The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My Shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.......

PS 3 v 3.....But You O LORD are a Shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.....

PS 18 v 2....The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My Shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.....

PS 18 v 30....As for God, "His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a Shield to all who trust in Him....

PS 18 v 35....You have also given me the Shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.....

PS 33 v 20....Our soul waits for the LORD: He is our help and our Shield...

PS 91 v 4....He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your Shield and buckler.....

PS 115 v 9.....O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their Shield.....

Prov. 2 v 7....He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a Shield to those who walk uprightly:...........

Ephes. 6 v 16.....above all, taking the Shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one....

We must daily take up our Shield before we go out into the world. There are enemies lurking everywhere, especially for those who are living in Christ Jesus. The more you do for the LORD the more the devil wants to stop you. So if you are having problems in any area of your life, pick up your Shield and let GOD fight your enemy. He is more than able. AMEN!

Your Shield, is your Faith in GOD. Without Faith, it would be the same as you standing naked in the cold, with no protection from the elements that surround you. Without Faith you are left trying to fight your own battles instead of giving them to GOD to fight for you. He wants you to release your Faith and let Him be GOD. AMEN!

Don't Take Advantage of the WORD

Do we take advantage of the Word? I mean, do we go day to day and not even pick the Word up and read it? How many people would miss not having the Word if it were withheld from them? Think about that for a minute. Would you really miss the Word if it were not available to you? This is how you know how to answer that question, ask yourself this question, do I read the Word often enough to miss it if it were gone? There are many places in the world that are not allowed the Word, there are some that are persecuted for reading it. Would you read the Word even if it meant persecution? What does reading the Word mean for you?

John 1 v 1-5......In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it......

How does the Word instruct you to live your life?

Prov. 6 v 20-23....My son, keep your father's command, and do not forsake the law of your mother. Bind them continually upon your heart; tie them around your neck. When you roam, they will lead you, when you sleep, they will keep you, and when you awake, they will speak with you. For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; reproofs of instruction are the way of life.....

The Word is our command, our instruction, our way of life from our Heavenly Father. How do people live without direction and purpose. You may say I have direction and purpose in my life. My question to you is where or whom does your direction and purpose come from? Is it from God, or from the world?

Don't let what happened in the book of Amos happen to you. Don't let a famine of the Word enter your life.

Amos 8 v 11-12...."Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord GOD, "That I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, but shall not find it"..........

How devastating would it be, to not be able to find the Word of God. I for one would miss it terribly. A day may come when the Word is taken away from us, that is why we must, we MUST, hide the word in our hearts. That doesn't mean to keep it to ourselves, but it simply means to have it so deep into your heart, that it will always be there when you need it. When you need to recall what the LORD told you about something, you have only to go to your heart to find what He has to say to you.

Ps 119 v 9-16.....How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to YOUR WORD. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your WORD, I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O LORD! Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget YOUR WORD............

Do you see now how importatnt the WORD is to us. It is the voice of GOD speaking to us. Don't you want to talk to GOD everyday? Then pick up His WORD and spend some time talking with Him, instead of talking on the phone, or watching TV, or staying on the internet. AMEN!

What Jesus Wants For You

This is what Paul prayed for the disciples and I believe that this is what Jesus wants for each one of us. First of all, He wants us to have wisdom, and spiritual understanding so that we may be enlightened to what is the hope of His calling for us, so that we will know what riches and glory He has in store for us, and the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believes, power according to God's mighty power that He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand. HALLELUJAH!!

Can you taste it? Can you even fathom how much Jesus wants for you to be able to believe and to receive His power, His glory and riches, His healing, His wisdom, His understanding, His strength, His discernment, His righteousness, and most of all His forgiveness and His love?

God is in control, let Him drive the bus. Let Him give unto you freely all the same things that He gave His Son Jesus. Jesus went to the cross for you so that you could receive these things. All we have to do is accept this gift. Don't let one stripe on His back be for nothing. Recieve your healing, receive your riches, receive your forgiveness, receive the LOVE He has for you. AMEN!

Ephes. 1 v 17-20....that the GOD of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom, and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened: that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.......

Ephes. 3 v 16-19......that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of GOD......

HALLELUJAH! Do you get it? Do you get what Christ wants for you? Read it again, read it until you get it! Read it until you know without a doubt how much God loves you and how much He wants you to have all that He gave His Son Jesus. AMEN!!

Shake The Dust

Sometimes you just have to shake the dust from your feet. You try and try to remain where you are and blossom where you are planted, but sometimes the soil is so stubborn, nothing can grow there, and it is better to be uprooted, transplanted and suffer a little discomfort so that in the end you may start to thrive again and blossom. The LORD did not want us to remain somewhere, when we are being torn down and where we can no longer hear from Him but we are starting to react from our own flesh, and feelings. He tells His disciples in Matthew 10 v 14 to shake the dust from their feet and move on.

Matt. 10 v 14....And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.....

Maybe it is time to shake the dust from your feet. If God's word is not being heard, and all that is being heard is your anger or your opinions, then it is time to move on and shake the dust. AMEN!

I just heard a good word from Joyce Meyer, it was something like this. It is not the circumstances that upset us as much as the way we react to the circumstances. We have a choice to allow something to upset us or not. We give our circumstances power or not. In other words we have to decide how much power we will give to our feelings concerning our circumstances.

I am not saying throw in the towel and give up just because life gets a little tough, but after you have truly tried, and given it your all, and you can not deal with these circumstances in a Christian way but you start dealing with things out of your flesh and your feelings and emotions, and you fall futher away from the LORD and His teachings and His ways, then it is ok to admit when you are not strong enough to fight this battle, then you know it is time to shake the dust. AMEN!

Don't just shake the dust and forget your purpose, but shake the dust and get back into the word and let God raise you up above those circumstances and know that He is God and He is in control, and recieve His peace. AMEN!

Stay in His word and let the Holy Spirit build you up to be stronger in that area of your life, so that you are better equipped to deal with those circumstances in a Christian way the next time you are asked to go into the lion's den. God wants all of us to be Daniels, and Davids, and slay the giants that are trying to devour us. He gives us the manual on how to be that Daniel or David, we just have to read it, then believe it, and recieve it. AMEN!

A Slab Of Concrete

You have all heard at sometime about good foundations. You need a solid firm foundation. This is true. But even a good foundation without a well kept and maintained home is nothing but a slab of concrete. A good slab, but still just a slab. AMEN. What I mean is this, you have to continue to maintain your house after you have built it on your good foundation. You have up keep, you have to keep things in working order you have to take care of your home. The same is true with our spiritual foundation. We have to continue in the word daily for housekeeping, we have to keep walking the path of the LORD and keeping His ways for our maintenance, and sometimes just like when you have to call out a plumber or electrician, (a specialist) so to speak, we have to call out the name of JESUS for help. Sometimes we are not equipped with the right knowledge to take care of our problems, and that is when we cast them on to the LORD, that is when we call out on our Specialist for help. AMEN!

Don't let your house go too long without taking care of it or it will crumble down around you and something else may try to build on your good foundation. You have all seen at sometime where a business is closed only for another business to move into their building. They do not care what was occupying that space before, they are just looking for a good foundation to build on.

What type of foundation do you have? Are you maintaining it? Or will someone else or something else take over your foundation? Get back into the word of GOD and start your daily housekeeping again, and your regular maintenance work. AMEN! Call on your Specialist for help. HE is always ready and willing and more than able. AMEN!

Matt. 7 v 24-25...."Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.....

You see not only do you need a good foundation, you need a good strong house to endure. The storms will come but if your house is in order and your foundation is built on the Rock, then you will make it through the storms. Don't be left standing on a slab of concrete. His plan was for your house to endure along with your foundation. AMEN!
