How Do We Know Jesus Is The Way?

The best way I can explain this, on the basis that this is the way the Holy Spirit gave it to me.
Read John 3 vs 5-21 ( I know some of you were thinking, I have heard John 3vs16 over and over again, well, maybe so, but did you go and read for yourself and read the before and after verses?)

John 3 vs 5-8....Jesus answered, "Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, "You must be born again."
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from, and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.".....

John 3 vs 10-21...."Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our Witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who practices evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.".....

Now let me break it down the way I see it, and I hope this helps you to see more clearly when people ask why do we say, only believers in Jesus as the Messiah, the one and only Son of God are going to heaven.

In the first part of scripture here, Jesus says unless you are born of water and Spirit, unless you are born again. In other words, you have to receive the Holy Spirit, (who is Jesus) in you. Jesus is saying if you can not believe what you see how can He expect you to believe what you can not see. Therefore that is why He gives us the Spirit to reveal to us the Truth. The truth being Jesus.

Now that we have established what He was referring to as being born of the Spirit, we see where He tells us, that He did not come into the world to condemn us, but to save us, if we will believe in Him. He says that if we believe in Him we will spend eternal life with Him and the Father in His Father's Kingdom. Where is the kingdom. Heaven! (some of you might say well some people say we are there now), I have to say that is not true, because the word tells us that we will see Jesus' Face and we will stand before Him and the Father when we get to heaven. As far as I know, no one has reported seeing the Father (GOD) or Jesus here on this earth! I think I would have heard about something as great as that happening. Don't You? And I do not mean seeing His image in a potato or a piece of toast!

Rev. 22 vs4-5...They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there; They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever...

He says in the last part that those who do not believe remain in darkness, (evil). In other words they will not be in His kingdom, where the Light is, because He is the Light and there is no darkness where God and the Son dwell so you can not go to heaven if you are living in darkness. In other words this is the condemnation He spoke of. That you will remain in darkness, which is (death) if you do not accept Him as the way to the Light.

God says, that the only way to the Father is through His only begotten Son, Jesus. So you have to know Jesus in order to live in eternity with the Father. Your flesh can not live forever, it will die. Jesus says, die to your flesh now, and come to Him, and He will keep you from death in eternity.

Matthew 16 vs 25...For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it....

PS 89 vs 48....What man can live and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the power of the grave?....

We do not have the power to raise ourselves up from the grave. But Jesus does, and has already defeated death for us. So that when Christians die, they go to be with Jesus and the Father in heaven.

2 Cor. 5 vs 6-7....So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the LORD...

So it really does all come back to John 3 vs 16...For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life...

We have determined that your flesh will perish, but if you have the spirit of Jesus in you, you will not perish but live in eternity with Him and the Father.
Never tell someone they are going to Hell, that is not your place, your assignment as a Christian is to share the Love of Jesus and the plan of salvation with others, They have to choose to accept Jesus as the only way. They are the only ones who can make that decision. It is called free will, what God gave to each of us.
