Who We Are

While studying my lesson for our class, I came across a statement that really jumped out at me. You know how sometimes you can be reading or studying the word and then there is always a verse that will jump off the page at you. Well, this statement jumped off the pages of my lesson at me yesterday and I wanted to share with the tid-bit readers as it goes right along with what I have been writing about lately.

God will never see you as a failure because Jesus is not a failure and you are in Christ Jesus.

Did you get that? You see once we got saved, we instantly are then in Jesus. What He has, we have. (and I can tell you, it's all good not bad). We are in Christ, now we start renewing our minds with the word.

Romans 8 v 15-17a.....For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father". The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ....

So when God looks at you it is Christ He sees.

2 Cor 3 v 18...."But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.....

We have to learn to see ourselves as in Christ. We have to quit just looking in the mirror or our surroundings in the natural, and see ourselves for who we are now in the super natural in the Spirit of Christ. For Christ now dwells in us. How do we do this? By staying in His word and reading everywhere it says In Christ, In Whom, In Him, we will see who we are In Him.

Back to the watermelon analogy. If there is a watermelon growing on a vine and the vine is healthy the watermelon will stay healthy. But if you cut that watermelon off from the vine, it will begin to wither and die. Jesus is our vine, He is our nourishment, if we abide in Him then we will have what He has. If we cut ourselves off from the vine (Jesus) then we will begin to wither and die. Then we set ourselves up for diseases, and sickness to come upon us. But if we are in Jesus then we can not have sickness in our bodies. We have to stay focused on the vine. On Jesus. We have to know without a doubt that there is no sickness in Jesus so there is none in you if you are in Christ. AMEN!

If we look in the mirror and we see sickness in our body, then we are looking at the flesh. We have to learn to look into our spirit man and see what God sees. We have to renew our minds with what God says, so that we can see ourselves in the spirit whole and healthy just like Jesus. How do we see that? Through His word. The flesh profits nothing, but His word is Truth. AMEN!

John 6 v 63..."It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.".....

Open the word and search out how many times you see the phrase In Him, In Christ, In Whom, and see just who you really are in Christ.

Thayer explains verse 15 of Romans 8 this way:

"The nature and condition of the true disciples of Christ, who by receiving the Spirit of God into their souls become the sons of God."......

That is who you are, sons and daughters of God the Father. You are seated up there with Christ with the Father. AMEN!

Ephes 2 v 4-6.....But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus......

He only has good for us, His children.

Ephes. 2 v 10.....For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them......

God already has a good life planned for you. A life of blessings, a life of peace, a life of being whole with Jesus. You have only but to accept it as a free gift. How? By accepting His Son as your Lord and Savior. AMEN!

Start confessing who you are in Christ:
I am a new creation
I am a Son of God with a Son's Inheritance
I have deliverance
I have Victory
I have Wisdom
All things are mine
I have peace
The list goes on and on. AMEN!

STAY IN THE WORD!
