What Is Your House Built On

When I say your house, I am talking about your spiritual house. I am talking today about your body, your mind, your health, your future, your life.

Do you exercise your physical body? Do you eat healthy foods? If you say no, then how can you expect your physical body to last you for the duration of a long life. God says He will satisfiy us with long life. He wants to do just that, and He will do His part, but you have to do your part as well. You can't keep feeding your body junk and expect it to last. When God created us, He created us with alot of joints in our body. A joint is meant to be moved, otherwise why would you need them? Right! So if He gave us all these joints, I believe He meant for us to use them. You can't use them sitting on the couch or laying in that recliner all day. God did not make us to be sedentary creatures. He made us to get up and move. (Exercise) Hello!

Then what about the spiritual part of our body? We have to build this house as well. The question is what are you building on? Are you building on the rock, are you building on the word of God? Or are you building on sinking sand? Now probably most of you just said you are building on the word of God. Are you really? Let's check and see. You may be trying to build on the rock, but let me ask you this. How many times do you remove the nails (the words of God) you put in your house by saying something like, I am sick, I am broke, I don't know how I will get by, oh woe is me, what will happen to me now? You better stop now with that kind of talk or you will pull out every nail you put in. You see when you speak those negative things, words that do not line up with God's words, then you cancel out His words. When you start believing the things of the world, your circumstances then you have put your faith there and no longer in God's word. Get ready, hold on, you have pulled out all your nails and now your house is about to fall.

God says that if you will keep His words, and do them He will liken you to the man who built his house on the rock, but if not, you will be like the man who built his house on sinking sand. AMEN!
You see, He wasn't talking about a house literally, He was talking about your spirit, your well being, your life. AMEN!

Matthew 7 v 24-25......."Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; and the rain descended, the floods came, and the wind blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.....

Do you see that? When trouble comes, when deadly diseases come, when terrorists come, when poverty strikes, when the enemy comes at you with all he has, and you are doing the word of God, you are dwelling in Him, you are standing firm on His word, then your house will not be shakened. AMEN!

Now let's see what happens when you cancel out His words with the bad reports, with the words from the world, words you speak out of your mouth that do not line up with His words.

Matthew 7 v 26-27....."But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand; and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall........

God did not intend for us to be lazy Christians. He gave us His word, a help manual, if you will, on how to live our lives. We have to be diligent in seeking Him and His word about our situations. We have to speak His words with our mouths and not negative words that the enemy uses to tear down our houses. We have to be determined to stand on His promises and His words and not the words of the world. What are you building your house on, and what are you putting into your house? Will your house withstand the rains, the winds and the fire? Yes even the fire. When you make Jesus Lord of your life, your house will even stand against the fire. AMEN!

PS 91 v 16.....With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation....

Let's use God's word and build our houses on the rock. AMEN!

STAY IN THE WORD!
