Your Way or His Way

Does God delight in how you behave, how you worship Him, how you give to His kingdom? Are you doing things your way or His way? Do you make any sacrifices for Him?

Do you give with a cheerful, expectant heart? Or do you give out of law, because the word tells you that 10% is the amount that belongs to the LORD, so you pay it monthly or weekly just like another bill you owe?

Do you worship Him all throughout the day each day? Do your start your day off with Him, or with "Good Morning America" for example? Do you meditate on His word each day, or do you just do all these things on Sunday?

Have you made any sacrifices to Him lately? Have you given up that extra hour of sleep to spend time with Him? Have you put those bad habits down, and got into His word to let Him bring you peace and rest?

Let us see what He has to say in His word, and see if there is anything in our worship time and in the way we behave that we need to work on.

Isaiah 66 v 1-4...Thus says the LORD; "Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist," says the LORD. "But on this one will I look; on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word. He who kills a bull is as if he slays a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dogs neck; he who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine blood; he who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol. Just as they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations, so will I choose their delusions, and bring their fears on them; because, when I called, no one answered, when I spoke they did not hear; but they did evil before My eyes, and chose that in which I do not delight.......

He is talking about the people trying to make their own ways of worship to Him, and do what they feel is right instead of what He says is right. The people try to make their worship time comfortable for them, instead of coming to Him with a true heart of worship. And you see what He has to say about it, He does not delight in their worship.

Just think everything we do, we do before His eyes, everything we say, we say in His hearing. What are you saying and what are you doing? How are you worshiping the LORD each day?
