The Beginning and The End

We have many beginnings and ends in our lifetime. We have the beginning of our lives when we were born. We have the beginning of when we started school, and the end when we graduate. We have the beginning of relationships and sometimes the end of the same relationship. We have the beginning of marriage hopefully with out an end until the end of our time.

We have the beginning of the new year and yes the new year will have to come to an end in order for the next new year to come to pass. How we start out our beginnings will sometimes dictate how we will end. We may not always have the freedom to choose our beginnings but we can choose our endings. We can let our lemons rot, or we can make lemonade. We choose how we live our lives. And if we choose Jesus, then we will have chosen a better life. He has already chosen us, now it is up to us to choose Him.

We read in Genesis the first three chapters about the beginning of the earth and its habitation. We have the beginning of man and woman. We have the beginning of obedience and then disobedience. We have the beginning of sin.

In the beginning we had LOVE, obedience, deception, disobedience, sin, and then LOVE. You see no matter what we do, God loves us. He may not always like us, but He does love us and is willing to let us come to Him. He gives us the freedom to choose Him. However one day the earth will be no more, it will come to an end. Where we go from there is a choice we have to make. But the choice must be made before the end of time on this earth as we know it. We can choose eternal life with the Father and the Son, or we can choose eternity in Hell. We are the ones who choose, so there is no one to blame for the way our story ends but ourself. Just like with Adam, he had no one to blame but himself. We are the only ones who can be held accountable for our obedience to God and His word.

Gen. 3 v 17.....Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it', "Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it. All the days of your life......

And so it was the beginning of time and man.........

RTB....Gen. 4-6
