God Can Not Lie

Numbers 23 v 19....God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?.....

Do you ever pray for someone for healing and they just do not seem to get better? Don't start doubting your faith and think that God does not hear you when you pray believing that someone is healed and you lay hands on them and they walk away not healed, it is them that did not receive. For if they had received they would be healed. Jesus said we would lay hands on the sick and they would be healed. So if He said it, it has to be true, for Jesus can not lie. So if you have faith in what the Lord says and you lay hands on someone believing they will be healed then they are the ones that have to receive their healing. So do not let the devil play with your mind and make you doubt what the Lord says about healing. It is so important to be full of God's word so that you will not be deceived by the enemy when he comes to try to steal the word from you.

Mark 16 v 17-18....And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover......

How much plainer than that can it get?

Now about having your desires. Some people just can not get a grasp on that. They feel guilty if they ask God for their desires of the heart. Well, number one if you are living for God, and abiding in Him then what is in your heart will line up with what God wants you to have. You may be praying and believing for a car, because you need transportation, but the voice of the enemy keeps getting in the way by telling you that you should not pray for such material possessions. Well, if you need a car, then by all means pray for one and know that God wants you to have one. He not only wants you to have one, but He wants you to have the best. It says so right in His word, and like the scripture says, God can not lie.

Numbers 23 v 20...Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it....

Deut. 28 v 5-6....Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.....

Deut. 28 v 8.....The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.....

PS 37 v 4.....Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.....

So don't let the enemy talk you out of your blessings. God says whatever you ask when you pray believing that you receive you will have. So go ahead pray for those things that you need, and believe what God says about your situation and not what the devil says. Remember to return the blessings by blessing others when you are able, and the blessings will just keep going around and around. Now that is an endless cycle I would like to get caught up in. How about you?

Angels Jump Into Action

Angels go into action with the spoken word of God. If you are in danger of something and you speak the word of God over it, the angels jump into action and come running to your defense. The most important part of that statement is that you call out on God and speak His word. The angels can not do anything if you do not speak the word of God and call out for help. When you try to take care of things on your own, you are binding the hands and feet of the angels who are standing by to help. But the word says when the word of God is spoken, the angels hasten to His word. They come quickly. I like to think of them standing by each of them on the ready to be the first one to our defense. The first to be the quickest to respond to the word of God. Just waiting to please God. How would you like that to be your job everyday? Waiting to hear the word of God spoken so you can hasten to do what He asks of you. Well, that is not our job, it is our privilege. You see, we should feel privileged to assist God in our daily lives and the lives of others. God doesn't need our help but He is allowing us to help. Like when you were little and you wanted to help your mom or dad do something that grownups do, and they let you help. You felt so proud to be a helper to them. Well, that is how we should feel when God asks us to be His helpers. To take His word around the world and share it with others. To help feed the hungry, or clothe the poor, or take care of the widows, and orphans. We should be proud and honored that He would even ask us. But so many times we feel like it would be a bother, or cost us too much money. Come on now, be truthful. How many times have you felt the Holy Spirit tug at your heart and ask you to do something and you are just too tired to get up and pray in the spirit for an hour, or you are just too proud to go up to that person and ask them if they know the Lord, or too stingy with your money because you got something else on your mind that you think you need to do with it. Well, then we did not accept the job the angels have. We are not as ready to jump into action at the spoken word of God as they are. You see the dangers we save someone from by giving into the kingdom come in all different ways. We may help to save a child from dying of hunger, or exposure to the world by giving them shelter and food, or we may help to save someone literally by telling them about Jesus and what He did for them and how they can have eternal life. That is what the job of an angel is, being on the ready, to jump into action when God speaks.

PS 103 v 17-22.....But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them. The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all. Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure. Bless the Lord, all His works, in all places of His dominion. Bless the Lord, Oh my soul!......

So you see, it is not just heavenly beings that are angels of God's but He also has His angels on earth. And those who do His works will be blessed. So hasten to the Lord's voice when you hear Him speak to you, not just for your blessing but so that you may be a blessing to Him by helping one of His.

Check Your Love Walk

Have you been praying about something and believing for something and it is just not happening. Well, maybe you need to check your love walk. Sometimes we feel like we are doing everything right, but we just can't seem to get anywhere. We think, I am living right, I am spending time with God, spending time in the word, going to church, but for some reason God will just not answer this prayer. Well, sometimes we just need to dig a little deeper into our hearts and see where we have missed the mark on forgiving someone, or just where we have not shown the love toward someone like we should have. Somewhere we have gotten off the path in walking in love toward others. And that means everybody. You see if you have unforgiveness in your heart toward someone, then when you pray you are praying without faith. You say how is that? Well the word says that faith can not work without love. So if you do not have love in your heart toward everyone your faith can not be activated. You may believe what you are saying but, if you truly believed then you would forgive first, love your enemies as yourself and then your faith could be activated.

John 15 v 7-14....If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. you are My friends if you do whatever I command you...

John 15 vs 17...These things I command you, that you love one another...

2 Pet. 1 v 5-7....But also for this very reason, giving all diligence add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self control, to self control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.....

1 Cor. 13 v 13....And now abide faith, hope love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.....

1 Cor. 13 v 1-3....Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become like sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and have not love, it profits me nothing......

So you see Love is first and foremost, before faith or anything else. Without love, you have nothing. So next time you are praying and praying for something and it just does not seem to happen. Check your love walk and see if you have gotten off the path of love toward others somewhere along the way.

Keeping Your Children Under Protective Covering

Being the head of the family is a big responsibility. The other members of the family look to you for guidance, for support, for protection. Just like God is our Father and the head of our lives, and gives us His protective covering, we as individuals need to make sure that we stay under that covering and our children are then protected as well. Look at it like this. Would you throw your child out in the cold and snow, with no warm clothes on their back, with no shoes to wear? Of course you wouldn't. They would catch cold, and their feet would become frost bitten, they would be exposed to the elements of the weather, and they would suffer and possibly die. Well, when you walk away from God, and are not living like you should, then you are stepping out into the elements, exposing yourself to danger, and at the same time exposing your children as well. You are exposing yourself and your children to the enemy. You and your children will become vulnerable to the enemy. You might say, well now, I do not believe that my children are going to be punished for the way I live my life. Well, you are wrong. In a way they are being punished for your decisions, because they watch you and mimmick you. That is what little children do. They want to be just like mommy and daddy. So when you are not living for God, why should they want to? If you do not tell them about Jesus and what He did for them, and feed them the word of God and what He says about how they are to live, why would they want to know about Him later? Now I know some kids are brought to church by their grandparents, or with a neighborhood friend, but that is not the majority. No the majority of kids who are not brought up in church and in a Christian home will fall because they will mimmick their parents behavior. So how could you not want your child under God's protective covering? And if you are a Christian and you are not staying in the word of God and feeding your children the word on a daily basis, where are their roots going to grow? Will they build a strong foundation with Jesus as their Lord, or will their roots stray another way and wander around aimlessly, and lost? It is time we as parents stand up and hold our families together under God's protective covering. And when one tries to run out from under we snatch them back from the enemy. God said even our children's children will be saved, so why are we letting the enemy snatch our children right out from under us?

When your kids talk to you, LISTEN!!! I can not emphasize this enough. We are in such a hurry all the time now, that we do not stop and listen to what our children are trying to tell us. If we did, we might would catch a hint of the devil trying to pull them away, and stop him before he can even get started on them. Don't just assume you know what they are getting ready to say. Just get still, and quiet and listen with both ears, your eyes and your heart. Yes get your heart involved when your child is talking to you and look at them, make eye contact with them, let them know that what they are getting ready to say is the most important thing to you right then. Maybe then, parents and their kids will begin to have conversations again at the dinner table or just sitting around in the living room or while riding in a car. Maybe they won't be so quick to put those ear pieces in their ears to listen to their ipods or turn on the tv to watch aimlessly, or stick a video game in to kill something. (Don't get me started there, I am running out of space).

Remember when you step out, you are jerking your children out with you.

PS 103 v 15-18....As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to childrens' children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them...

Joshua 24 v 15.....and if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the Gods which your father served that were on the other side of the river, or the God of the ammorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.........

First the scriptures tell us, that our children's children will be protected as long as we keep the commandments of the Lord. Then the scripture asks us very plainly, what God will you serve? Will it be the God your fathers served? Well if your fathers served the enemy by living in sin, then your children may very well choose the same enemy as their God. In other words if your father was an alcoholic, or an abuser of other addictions, or maybe he went fishing or hunting every Sunday and didn't have time for church, or maybe even just addicted to his job, that he didn't have time for you, then you will most likely follow in his footsteps. So now do you see why it is so important to not just think of ourselves, but to actually put our family first and spend time with God, and teach them about the Lord Jesus, so that you and your family may stay under the protective covering of God.

What Does the Cross Mean To You

Yesterday, while watching our home church live on the internet, I have to say it was one of the best Easter Services I have ever attended. The message Pastor Sam brought to us was titled How Do You See The Cross, and it was right on the mark. He could not have made it any clearer about what the cross was all about or more importantly what the cross was not all about. He went through the different types of crosses. The cross jewelry people wear, the white cross of healing, the red cross, the religious cross, and then the cross of the new age religion, and then we came back to the wooden cross that Jesus died upon for each of our sins.

He explained how there are so many crosses in our lives that we encounter at some point. But our faith had better be in the old wooden cross that Christ died upon. He made a good point as to when people wear a piece of jewelry in the shape of a cross. Do they really know what that cross means to them and to others, or are they just wearing a pretty piece of jewelry? When you put your faith in the white cross, in the world of medicine, have you lost faith in the wooden cross. Not that there is anything wrong with doctors, but your faith needs to remain in the wooden cross, not the medicine of this world. Or the Red cross, he was telling about how when Katrina happened, and the Red Cross was helping out, and they just did not have the staff to take care of all the people at the Hirsch Collesium there in Shreveport where they were housing thousands of people, so one of the other churches staff members took it over, and some of WOL staff members went to help out. When the church started to minister to these people on a spiritual level, the Red Cross members quit and withdrew themselves from the operation. He told how they do good things, but they leave Christ out of what they do. Don't take Christ out of your life, you have life because of what Christ did for you. Then he told about the religious cross, how some religions and churches have crosses on their buildings, and in their sanctuaries, and how some people only know its significance as being religious. When asked what does the cross mean to them, they might say Jesus died on that cross, but they do not have a clue as to what that means for them personally. Or some religions who kill in the name of religion and burn crosses in peoples yards. That is not the cross Christ died upon. The death on that cross was Jesus Himself, and then each one of us who has gave up our old man, and died to our old ways, and now live with Christ in us. Then he was talking about how the new age religious people want to use the cross for their beliefs. But yet their beliefs don't have anything to do with Christ dying on the cross for our sins, so that we are made whole, and have eternal life with Him and the Father. But yet they want to use the symbol of the cross.

You see to some the cross is just that, a symbol. Some do not realize the debt that was paid on that cross. Some people only go to church on Easter Sunday, but yet they do not even know why there is a celebration on that day.You know it would be better named Resurrection Sunday. I wonder how many churches would be filled on Resurrection Sunday? You know if we didn't have the easter egg hunts, the fancy clothes, if we just said, we will start celebrating Resurrection Sunday on the 3rd Sunday in March. Would the church be packed out with no room in the pews? I wonder! I mean let the ones that only come on Easter come, and give them a good message because you probably will not get to see them again until next year, but I just wonder how many Christians would pack the pews on Resurrection Sunday? How much attention to Jesus would they give that day? It would be interesting to see.

What cross do you look to for guidance, for healing, for love, for comfort, for forgiveness? Is it the one around your neck, the doctor, the organization that is there to help people in need, the one on the front of the church building where you attend church, or God forbid, the one who doesn't even believe in the saving grace of Jesus? What exactly does the cross really mean to you. Meditate on that for a while and then go to the word of God and read about what the cross really means. The next time you put that cross around your neck, remember what it stands for. Remember the power in the meaning, remember the suffering on that cross, and most importantly remember the healing in that cross. Healing comes to those who believe on that cross. Not the piece of jewelry itself, but the power behind the true meaning of the cross.

Romans 6 v 5....for if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.....

Gal. 2 v 20....I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me......

1 Pet. 2 v 24.....who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree (cross) that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by whose stripes we were healed......

Who Or What Is Bigger Than God?

We should all read Romans 8 v 31-39 over and over again until we get it. If we are still trying to fight our own battles, or worried about this or that then we have not let this part of scripture enter into our hearts and take root. There is no problem or no one too big for our God to take on. And He will take care of any problem we have, if we give it to Him. He will defeat all of our enemies if we will allow Him to do so. It is as if a little puppy was trying to take on a grizzly bear. The puppy would not stand a chance on his own. But with God's help he would survive. That is how our problems sometimes seem to us. Like we have no way of winning. But if we would put our faith in the Lord, and what His word says, we would triumph. Read these scriptures and let them sink in. Really get a revelation of how much power you have through Christ.

Romans 8 v 31-39....What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God, who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, no angels, no principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.....

My goodness, that scripture says it all. If God allowed His Son to suffer and die on a cross for us, how much more so do you think He is going to protect what is His. Do you think He let His Son die for nothing? Do you think He is going to just stand by and watch the enemy persecute us or snatch us out of His hands? Why would He do that after what He gave up for us? HIS SON!!! This verse is telling us that there is nothing of this world that can harm us as children of God. This is saying who has the right to condemn us about anything when Christ has already died on the cross for our condemnation. Who is dumb enough to go against God and bring any condemnation against one of His children? What sin, or disease has more power than the blood of Jesus? If we accepted that blood on the cross and we say Jesus is our Savior, then why do we still let these things attack us? WHY? If we would just allow these words of God to take root in our hearts we will no longer give these things a second thought. Let's take a stand and trust what God says He will do for us, and quit letting the enemy tell us differently. Let's give God's word control over our thoughts and take root in our hearts, instead of Satan's ideas. Get a revelation of this today and put the devil on the run.

What Measure Will You Receive

When we give, it is given back to us according to what measure we gave. When we judge others, we will be judged with what measure we judged. When we love others, we will receive love with what measure we love others.
When we get into the word of God and are being taught and fed, we will receive with what measure we hear.

Well, first of all, when you give just so that you can receive back you are giving with the wrong heart, so what you get measured back will be accordingly to what your heart gave. In other words if you give $100 but you really only wanted to give $10. then you will only get $10 worth of measure back. When you love others, you love them regardless because that is what God says we are to do. He not only says it, He commands it. We all of us need to humble ourselves to not be so concerned with the approval of our peers but we need to seek first the approval of God. We need to make sure we know what He says and we act accordingly so that we will receive a full measure back from Him.

In Mark 4 Jesus is telling us to make sure we have ears to hear. I think when Jesus says this throughout scripture He is getting ready to tell you something you really need to pay attention to.

Mark 4 vs 21-25...Also He said to them, "Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear." Then He said to them, "Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For whoever has, to him more is given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him."

When we walk in the light of Jesus, that is our lamp shining forth. When we are not walking with Him we are in darkness. When we get into His word, we are being fed and taught, or when we go to church we are being taught. When we get away from the word of God, when we quit going to church, when we continue to stay away, we get further and further away from God and the light grows dimmer and dimmer. When we are walking in darkness, God knows, we have no secrets from Him, He knows what we are doing when we are not in church, being taught His word, or when we do not open our bibles and feed ourselves. We can not hide anything from Him. And when we do not share Him and His word with others, then we are not being fruitful, and therefore we lose some of our measure. Another way to say this, is that we invested poorly and unwisely. We were like the guy who buried his one talent and so his master took it away and gave it to the one who invested his money wisely. If God can not trust you with a little bit, how can He trust you with much more?

God has so much to give us, the measure He has for us is so great, we do not even have room to hold it all, but if we do not have ears to hear what He is telling us, in other words if we do not live out His word, we are limiting Him on what measure He can give back to us. He will not give us more than we can handle. So what are we doing with what He gives us. Are we hiding it in the dirt. In other words are we hiding it in our heart and not sharing with others? Or are we investing that word into others lives so that our measure can grow?

Will you be given more, or will you lose what you have? Don't lose what understanding you have received from God's word by not putting it into action. Continue to stay in His word and stay under His teaching so that He may give you more.

Don't Settle For the Crumbs

Be Thankful in All Things.

God doesn't want us to just settle for what is thrown our way. But at the same time we are to be grateful and give thanks in all things. Now you may say, well, that sounds contradicting. Let me explain what I mean.

When someone does something for you and you don't particularly care for the way they did it, but they honestly felt like they were doing you a favor. You should not say, thanks, but that is not the way it is done. I like to fold my towels this way and then proceed to refold them like you want them folded. No, the correct response would be to simply say thank you for your help, I really appreciate it. And then when they leave you can go back and refold your towels. That is being grateful and giving thanks in all things, while at the same time settling for the way your towels were folded at the time. You see you can always go back and refold the towels, but at the time you are blessing the person who was trying to help you by showing your appreciation for their help.

I think about the times when my boys were little they would try to do something to help me. One particular case that stands out was when Brandon was about 2 or 3, he got up one morning before me and went into the refrigerator and emptied everything we had into a bowl to make breakfast. (Yes those of you who know him, knows how he loves to cook, HA!) He really thought he was doing something to help me. Instead of being grateful, I berated him, hollered at him and probably spanked him at the time because all I could think about was how that was all the food we had and now we had nothing. Now I can see when I look back how he really thought in his little mind he was doing something great for his mom. You know when we say things to people, we can never take the words back. How I wish now, I would have just let him fix the breakfast and told him how appreciative I was for having such a thoughtful son.

We need to talk to people like this is the last time we will talk to them. We need to show our appreciation and give thanks for everyone the Lord brings into our lives. I think this is why Jesus tells us to give thanks in all things. We all at some time in our lives have said things or done things to others that we regret, but Jesus has forgiven us and now we just have to forgive ourselves, and learn from our past mistakes, and instead of worrying and spending time refolding the towels, or replaying in our minds where we might have hurt someone with our words, we need to be showing and telling our loved ones how much they are appreciated. We have all heard it before, we can not unscramble eggs, so quit trying. Stop settling for the crumbs of life Satan is trying to throw you into, causing you to beat yourself up over something, and start living the life God has given you, being thankful and grateful in all His blessings He brings to you today. Tell Satan now, that he has no authority over you or your thoughts, and in the name of Jesus, he can no longer bring that hurtful thought to your remembrance again and he has to flee in the name of Jesus and leave you alone.

1 Thes. 5 v 18....Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you....

You see it is God's will for you to be thankful in all things. He loves you so much, He does not want you worrying about what happened yesterday. He wants you focusing on Him and the day and season you are in. He tells us not to worry about anything. Free yourself now from whatever past thing you are worrying over and give thanks that God is always with you and that He has blessings just waiting to pour out of heaven on to you.

Being Highly Favored

I love the scripture that tells us that we are highly favored by God. A perfect example of this in my life is my job. Now don't think I am bragging on myself when you read this because I am not. I did nothing to put myself in my position at work. I give God the credit for placing me where I am.

As you all know, I was praying for a particular job. Then when I got hired, I was not placed in the job or with the schedule I had prayed for. I was becoming very disgruntled about the whole situation. So I prayed about it, and God showed me that I settled for something that was not what I had prayed and believed Him for. So, I turned in my resignation. My supervisor asked me what would it take to keep me and I told him, to place me in the job I interviewed for and had applied for with the schedule that I was told would be my schedule and to pay me what I was qualified for. He said OK, start Monday morning, and I will talk to personnel about the pay. So I started the next week in the job I had originally applied for. Now just to show you what it means to be highly favored by God, He will show favor on you above others when you trust in Him. I not only started working the days of the schedule I applied for, but also the same exact hours as Rob, and we get to have lunch together every day. But, my supervisor likes how well I do my job, that now, I am in my own little office space, with a new phone, a new computer, and he wants to keep me here. No weekends, No Holidays, No bouncing around hours. You see, I knew God had told me this job was mine, but I had no idea, how much favor He was going to show on me. I kept saying when I applied for the job, that the job was mine because I was a highly favored child of God, and I believed it, I just didn't dare think how great the job would be. We always try to put limits on what God can do for us in our lives. When will we ever get it, that He wants us to be prosperous with everything we set our hands to, like the word says?

Joshua 1 v 8....This Book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.....

But then you know we have to do our part also. We have to have faith. You see, I had let my certification expire because I really had no intention of ever working in the Pharmacy again, but when I applied for this job, I knew I could do so much better if I had the right certifications, so I stepped out on faith and paid the money and sat for the exam again so that I would be prepared when they called and offered me the job. Some people might would have said, why don't you just wait until you see if you get the job first? Where would the faith be in that? I believed the job was mine when I prayed for it. GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

So if you have something in your life you are believing God for, don't grow weary and give up, stand fast and believe holding on to your faith and what the word says about your situation and He will be true to His word and bring you through. When you know the Lord's voice and you know what He said was yours, then hang in there and believe that God will make sure that you end up where you are suppose to be. You may have to go through one door or one season to get to the right spot. Some times the path we take is not one we would have chosen for ourself, but maybe we need to practice a part of our walk with the LORD that we are not very sufficient in. But God is faithful in getting you where it is you belong.

2 Sam. 22 v 37....You enlarged my path under me; so my feet did not slip....

Luke 6 v 27-31..."But I say to you who hear; Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him, who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise....

I was having a really tough time working with the people in the first job location. They were very overworked and understaffed and were determined they were not going to train me, since I was only going to be there temporarily. They said they did not want to waste their time training someone who would be leaving in 6 months and then they would have to start all over again. I could understand where they were coming from, but that was still no cause to take it out on me when I was just trying to help them. I could have really gotten mad and treated them the same way, but everyday, before Rob and I would go into work, we would read our devotional, read the word and then pray that the Lord would bless our co-workers, and fill our hearts with so much love that no matter what they threw at us, our flesh would have to check with our hearts first and see what the word says about our reaction and with our hearts being filled with love, we would have to act accordingly. We would pray that the Lord would give us strength to walk in the Light of Jesus and the Love of Jesus toward everyone we came in contact with. And I have to say, some days, that is what it took to get me through. I said, Lord, I am always praying that you teach me to walk in the love of Jesus, and then as soon as you give me the opportunity, I want to high tail it out of the situation, because I think it is too hard to love someone who doesn't particularly like me. What a wusss!! And then one day, I woke up to the fact, that I was giving up on my mission to walk in love and practice what I write about all the time in my tid-bits, how God says we are to walk in Love toward our neighbors. And I was ready to throw in the towel after the first week with these women. So, I first went to the LORD in prayer and repented for my dis-obedience in walking in love, and asked for His forgiveness. I told Him, I did not want to fail the chance He had given me to learn to walk in love. So, determined, I went in with a different attitude and told them I wanted to be a part of their team, I wanted to help them in whatever ways I could while I was there with them. I wanted to make their jobs as easy as I could. And then I hugged each one of them, and I meant it with all my heart, and it was like a dense fog lifted off the room, and everyone could see each other clearly for the first time. There was peace in the house. Hallelujah! And then I prayed and asked the Lord, is this where I am suppose to be even though I did not pray for this particular job, and He said no, this is not where I promised you. So hence the letter of resignation and then the manifestation of the job God had promised me came about. You see when you are obedient to what the Lord tells you, He will bless you above what even you can imagine. HALLELUJAH~!!!!!!

PS 5 11-12.... But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.....

So you see, if you are obedient to God's word, if you have faith and pray believing that what you are praying for is yours, if you walk in LOVE toward your neighbor, and put your trust in the LORD, then you too will be highly favored by God. HALLELUJAH~!!!!!

God's Little Ones Around The World

Lately, I have heard and seen more and more about the abuse of children around the world. I know this goes on in our own country as well, but not to the extent that it happens around the world. Children being sold into slavery as sex objects. Now we can stick our heads in the sand and not listen to these reports, and say well there is nothing I can do about it. Well, that just is not true. You would be surprised how little it takes on your part together with other people partnering against these things to do some good. I am telling you, we can not as Christians keep sticking our heads in the sand, and not pay any attention to the cry of God's little ones around the world. I hear people commenting all the time about these things but very seldom do I hear anyone say they did anything to help with the situation. I challenge each of my readers today as well as myself and Rob to take a stand, to do something to help. I am asking that each of you read the email following this one so that you may see where you are able to make a contribution to help in one of three areas that are especially important to me. I will tell you how you can afford to do so. Rob and I get a coffee drink every afternoon as a pick me up sort of treat at work to finish off a long day. Well, when I realized with him spending $3 and me spending $3 each day that came out to $60 a pay period or $120. a month, or $150 if there was 5 weeks in the month. When you click on this site you will see where that money in just one month could do a tremendous amount of good in one of these three areas. (Of course once I realized we were spending that, we took a fast off of those coffee drinks.) So you see, I am sure there is an area in your life you could fast from for just a month to help in one of these fields.

1.) Drilling water wells around the world, so families can have safe drinking water
2.) Feeding the Hungry around the world
3.) Helping to build Destiny House (A house to bring children to safety from child sex rings)

All of these are through the Life Outreach Ministry, with Betty and James Robinson. Won't you please not stick your head in the sand and be a voice in one of these outreaches? You may ask why? I would have to just simply say, because God says it is what we are to do.

Matt. 19 v 14....But Jesus said,"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."...

Mark 9 v 36-37....Then He took a little child and set him in the midst of them. And when He had taken him in His arms, He said to them, "Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.....

Mark 10 v 21.....Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.".....

Matt. 25 v 34-40...Then the King will say to those on His right hand, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me." Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison and come to You?" And the King will answer and say to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me."....

So you see, we have no choice but to help God's children around the world who can not help themselves. Please don't harden your hearts. Open them today and help one of the least of these He was talking about in His word.

I am going to send you in a forward from my email a weekly letter I received from James Robison Life Outreach Ministry this week and I ask that you take the time to read, and click on the site in the letter that says Destiny House and this link will bring you to the web site so that you may see the other links to the water wells and feeding the hungry. I love you each one and appreciate whatever you do to help. The only thing I get out of this is knowing that in some small way I have helped others to partner with me in partnering with this ministry to reach God's little ones.

A Prayer for Every Soldier

This is a scripture I was reading the other day, and it seemed like the perfect scripture for anyone who is struggling with a battle. I also thought what a perfect scripture for all of our soldiers. So if you have a loved one going through a battle or is over in Iraq, cut this scripture out and laminate it and send it to them to pray over their situation every day.
This is truly God's word to you today.

PS 27

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me
to eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
they stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
in this I will be confident.
One thing I have desired of the Lord,
that will I seek;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavillion;
in the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
And now my head shall be lifted up above
my enemies all around me;
therefore, I will offer sacrifices of joy in His
tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the
Lord.
Hear, Oh Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When you said, "seek My Face,"
my heart said to you, "Your Face, Lord, I
will seek."
Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
Oh God of my salvation.
When my father and my mother forsake me,
then the Lord will take care of me.
Teach me Your way, Oh Lord,
and lead me in a smooth path, because of
my enemies.
Do not deliver me to the will of my
adversaries;
for false witnesses have risen against me,
and such as breathe out violence.
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
that I would see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen your heart;
wait, I say, on the Lord!

God bless each and everyone who receives this prayer today.

Don't Quench the Spirit!

Do not put the spirits fire out. Stand on faith when you pray. If you ask me to pray for you about something, be it healing or whatever, and I do not call you to see how you are doing, don't get upset thinking I do not care about your situation. It is because I care, that I am not going to call. You see, when I pray, I believe that my prayer is answered and I do not want to know what the circumstances are saying. I do not want to call, and you say, well, I am still having problems with this or that, and then I fall right in behind you saying, well I am so sorry, maybe it is just going to take a little longer, or maybe that is just the way it is going to be. NO NO NO! I am not calling because I do not want you getting mad at me when I say, well, that is not what we prayed and believed for, and that is not what the word of God says about your situation. You see, I would be walking in double mindedness, if I just say what you want to hear. In other words, if I am just trying to console your feelings. Sorry, but I am going to believe what God says, and not what you keep saying over your situation. Because if you are going to keep hanging on to your illness, or your troubles like a dog with a bone, then I am going to have to be on the other end of that bone tugging it away from you with what the word of God says, and what I believe about the situation, and I have to tell you, if I do not get tired and let go of the other end of that bone, I will win with the power and strength of God to get that bone away from you eventually. So you see, your troubles, or your healing could come a whole lot quicker if you would quit playing tug of war with God trying to pull that bone out of your mouth. In other words, He is trying to get you to quit confessing these things over yourself and start confessing the word of God over yourself. Then you would see the manifestation of your miracle. In other words when we pray together, pray believing or else you may keep tugging at that bone until finally you quench the fire of the Spirit in me over the situation, and I see that you are wanting to keep that bone to yourself instead of giving it to the Lord, and I have to let you have the bone. So think about that next time, you start complaining about your situation, know that you are still tugging on that bone.

1 Thes. 5 v 19 NIV....do not put out the Spirit's fire.......

PS 55 v 22...Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved....

So, you can either give your troubles to the Lord and let Him ease your burden, or you can cast in with the devil and continue to play tug of war with that bone and stay bound to your burden.

Don't Brag or Be Boastful!

Jesus says, we have authority over the enemy. We have the power to trample him under our feet and destroy him. The enemy can not hurt us when we trample on Him in Jesus name. Did you get that last part? When we do this in Jesus name. Not when we do this in our name. No, I do not go around saying, in the name of Neta you have to bow down, you have to flee. No, I say in the name of Jesus. When we pray for someone or a situation and the devil flees, it is not because of what we did, no the devil is not afraid of you. But he is afraid of Jesus, even the name of Jesus just being spoken over a situation will cause the devil to flee. The word tells us not to be gleeful about this, not to rejoice in the fact that we caused him to flee. In other words do not get all excited and say, I made the devil flee from here, because the truth is the reason he fled was because the name of Jesus was being spoken. Even when Jesus was on the earth as man, He would tell people when He healed them, now go and tell no one. In other words, He knew that it was the Father working through Him, and His belief in what the Father said had to happen, and not of His own works. Jesus was always humble and gave glory to the Father and not to Himself. That is why Jesus, says we have the same authority He had on earth, because the authority was given to Him by the Father and it is given to us by the Father. Jesus walked on this earth as a man, as human, and He had faith in the Father and the word of God, that is where His miracles came from. The Father. If we could only grasp that reality, there would be a lot more miracles going on today. Because God, is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is not going to change. So remember when you cause the enemy to flee, give God the glory and not yourself.

In Luke, when Jesus sent the seventy out to the cities to bring in the harvest, they came back all excited about how the enemy was subject to them in His name. But you see, the enemy was subject to the name of Jesus not to the disciples. In other words the authority is not in the messenger but in who the messenger represents.

Luke 10 vs 17-20...Then the seventy returned with joy,saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name." And He said to them, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you that authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven."......

In Luke we read where Satan tempted Jesus at every turn while He was in the wilderness, but Jesus always responded with "It is written". In other words, He says, but My Father says it will be this way. He didn't say, well I say that is not going to happen, no He says, "It is written". He quoted the word of God over every situation the devil threw at Him. So you see, we have the same authority Jesus was given, we just have to know what the word says in other words what the Father says and we will conquer the same as Jesus did.

Heb. 13 v 8....Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever....

Mark 16 vs 17-18....he who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: in My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.........

So you see, Jesus gave us the same authority the Father gave unto Him, and His word says He is the same forever, so that means we still have the ability to perform miracles in His Name today. Grab a hold on this and mediate on it and get it in your heart, so that when someone needs healing you have the same authority as Jesus to get it done by believing and using His Name, so that the Father may be glorified.

Praise Before the Answer!

Do you wait until God answers your prayers before you start praising Him and thanking Him for the answer? Where is the faith in that? Even unbelievers shout praises when they get something they want or have been waiting for. We as believers should be praising Him the minute we finish praying for something. We should immediately start praising Him and thanking Him for it. In fact when I pray for something, I do not pray and beg, I pray and say thank you Lord that you will bring this or that into my life, or thank you Lord that you give me divine health everyday of my life from my head to my toes and everything in between. I praise you and give you all the honor and glory for this. Whatever it is, whatever the circumstances might be trying to tell me, I praise Him and thank Him that what His word says is true in my life, not what the circumstances say. You see, there is no faith mixed in when you have to see the circumstances change before you start praising Him and thanking Him for your answer. If you start praising Him and thanking Him before the circumstances, they will come about a lot quicker than if you are just standing around waiting for them to change. Waiting for a sign in other words. God says seek Him first and all these things shall be added unto you.
Don't be a doubting Thomas. Don't tell Jesus well, when you show me you are going to answer my prayer then I will praise you and thank you for it. That is basically what you are doing when you wait to thank Him after the fact.
The word tells us in all things give praise and thanksgiving. Did you catch that word. ALL. Now I know you are thinking why would I thank God for when I am feeling bad? No, when you are feeling bad, you start saying, Thank you Lord, that I am healed according to your word, and I am feeling better and better by the minute. You see, then you are speaking the word of God over your circumstance, then your circumstance will have to bow to the word of God when it is spoken in Faith and believing, God says, it is the same as if He spoke the words Himself.

Matt. 6 v 33.......but seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you

What things? whatever things you are praying for.

1 Thes. 5 v 16-18...Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you....

Phil 4 v 6... Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.....

In other words pray with thanksgiving, knowing that your prayer is going to be answered. Please don't pray, "Lord if it be your will", No you should know the will of God about what your request is before you pray. Why would you be praying for anything that is not the will of God. If it is good it is of God, if it is evil it is of the devil. The devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy. That is his work, not God's. So get in the word and know what God says about your situation, then you can pray believing when you ask that you will receive because you will know that it is the will of God. AMEN!

Phil. 4 v19...and my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus

If you have been praying without praise and thanksgiving, then change your prayer life today, and start believing when you pray that you will receive and start praising Him and thanking Him for the answer before your circumstances change. I promise, you will not be sorry. You will begin to see changes in your circumstances.

Jesus said it, and I believe it. Jesus said it, I believe it, cause I know His word is true.
Do you believe it?
Don't just sing that verse without meaning it.

Pack Mules

Are you packing all the devil's junk on your back. Are you being led around like a mule, carrying someone else's junk. Well, when you worry over something, or fret over things, or hang on to illnesses then that is exactly what you are doing. You are like a pack mule being led around and carrying all of these things that do not belong to you as a child of God. Because God tells us we are not to worry, not to fret over things, that we are healed in the name of Jesus, so why are you still carrying around someone else's junk. You are letting the devil lead you around like a mule. If you are a child of God, then you have authority over the devil and all his junk. You need to get into the word of God and know what authority you have, so you are not continuously being led around by the yoke the devil has put around your neck, and breaking your back with all of his junk.

IS. 10 v 27....It shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil...

Once you have received Jesus as your savior, you are anointed with His righteousness, with the anointing oil of God, you no longer have to endure sickness, strife, worries, unless you let the devil put his yoke back around your neck and start leading you again. You have to stand strong in the word of God, and keep that yoke off your neck. It doesn't belong on a child of God. When you let the devil put his yoke back on your neck, (in other words worrying over things, staying sick, etc.) then you are letting him have authority over you, instead of believing what God says, that you have the authority. In other words you are walking in disbelief, and not Faith. God gave you a yoke to wear and it is Jesus, and it is light and easy to bear and will lead you in the right direction.

Matt. 11 vs 29-30....take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.......

In one of my devotionals, Kenneth Copeland was explaining this using the analogy of a pack mule, and I thought, yep that is exactly what we are like when we let the devil lead us around. We are in disobedience to the Lord and what His word says about how we are to be, we are as stubborn as a mule. He tells us to take on His yoke, not the devils. So, if you have been wearing the devil's yoke, take it off your neck right now and break it into pieces; Jesus said He has destroyed that yoke, so why did you pick up the pieces and put them back together again and why are you trying to wear it again. Take that yoke off and destroy it and leave it destroyed, it doesn't belong to you.

GOD Gave Each One Of Us A Ministry

Have you ever questioned what God has for you to do in His kingdom? Well, you can quit questioning. In 2 Cor. 5, He tells each one of us what our ministry is. It is right there in black and white.

2 Cor. 5 vs 17-21...Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us; we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him....

Ok lets break this down. First once we are born again, we are a new creation. We have the righteousness of God in us through Christ who is in us. Now Christ died on the cross, so that all of our sins are wiped out for good. He took on all of our sins so they are no longer. We are no longer sinners. OK, some of you people who are into religiosity instead of what the Word says, is questioning that statement. But the Word is very clear, once we are born again, we are a new creation, we are no longer that old man, and we are made the righteousness of God through Christ. Yes we may mess up now and again. But we are to stay in the Word and fight that impulse to sin, and we can because we have Christ in us. Now God tells us to go out and share this forgiveness with others. The scripture even says it is as if He is begging us to go out and tell others what His Son gave up for us and everyone else. Can you picture that? He does not want to think for one moment that His Son died for nothing. So you see there is your ministry. It says it right here, "and He has given us the ministry of reconciliation" the scripture says we are ambassadors for Christ. In other words, we are to go out and tell everyone we can about what our Savior did for us and what He did for them. And how He wants to forgive them no matter what they have done. We are to be missionaries of the ministry of forgiveness. Our message we are to share is crystal clear, That Christ loved them so much that he died for their sins and forgives them no matter what the sin. So when we go to work, to school, to the grocery store, etc., we should be taking our ministry with us every day when we leave the house and sharing it with as many as we can.

Listening To The Holy Spirit

Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit so strongly trying to tell you to do something? Well, let me share with you an experience I had recently. While praying one night for different people, and then praying in the Spirit as we usually do, when we finished we went right on off to sleep. I was sleeping so soundly when suddenly the phone rang and awoke us. We just said well, if it is important they will leave a message. And they did. We said we will just call them back the next day. We were so tired and sleepy. Well, the Holy Spirit was not going to let me go back to sleep, or let me put it like this, He was not going to let me rest peacefully. I felt this tugging on me and I could literally feel myself straining to keep from lifting up. I said is that you Holy Spirit, do I need to call this person back? And then I would say nah, I'll just call tomorrow. It is late. Then the Holy Spirit says, why do you tell people to call you if they need anything, like prayer? And then, I feel this force lifting me up away from my comfortable position in the bed, and again I feel myself pulling against it and trying to stay laying down in my comfortable position. Finally, it is like the Holy Spirit is just fed up with me, and says, OK you just lay there and ignore me and I will stop bothering you. WOW! You never saw anybody get up so fast. I said Oh No, it is no bother, you are not bothering me, I want to be obedient and do as you say. Please forgive me for my disobedience. And I called this person back, prayed for them, and then went back to bed, prayed some more in the Spirit and prayed some more for this person, rebuked the spirit that has a hold on this person, and slept like a baby. Now you see, I could have disobeyed the Holy Spirit and not listen to Him, and I guarantee you I would not have slept worth a flip. But even more importantly, I would have just moved myself further away from Him and being able to hear Him when He speaks to me. Have you ever talked to someone and told them something over and over again until finally you just get fed up and say forget it they are not listening to me anyway. Well, don't you think that is how the Holy Spirit feels when He is trying to tell you to do something, and you continually try to question whether or not it is Him, when you know that it is. So please, when the Holy Spirit is telling you to do something, just do it. You never know who is needing you to pray with them or intercede for them in prayer.

Romans 8 vs 26-27...Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God....

Heb. 3 vs 7-8...Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says; "Today if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness".....

In other words pay attention, don't be like the people in Moses' day when they kept doubting and questioning over and over again until God finally just says OK, I will just let you wander around in the wilderness for 40 years until you decide you want to listen and believe what I am trying to tell you. Now I know it wasn't said just like that but you get the picture? Don't let the Holy Spirit get fed up with your not listening and obeying Him, until he finally just quits talking to you altogether. Be quick to obey when He tells you to do something. It will always be for your own good or maybe even for the good of a loved one.

Who Gets The Credit?

While reading in 1 Cor. the other day, I came across some scriptures about planting seeds. Actually the heading above that particular passage of scripture was "Watering, Working, Warning".

This caught my eye. We are told we reap what we sow, we are told to sow seeds into the lives of others. Well, when you plant a garden, you first work up the soil, then you plant the seeds, then you water, then you keep the weeds out by tilling around the new little plants, then you feed the plants with fertilizer, and then you wait for your harvest. The more you water, fertilize, and tend to those plants the bigger your increase of harvest. Well, the same is true with sowing the word into others. You can't just sow the word, then walk away and forget about that person. No you have to tend to their needs. In other words, continue to lift them up and feed them the encouraging Word of God. Then once their stalks become sturdy where they can stand on their own, with God you can let them grow. But who gets the credit for that growth. Who gets the credit for tending to those plants?

1 Cor. 3 vs 5-9....Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building......

You see everything comes back to God first. He created the soil, the water and the seed. So who are we to take the credit for that which belong to Him first? We will be given due reward for our labor, but the credit still belongs to the Lord. Read on in the next verses of this passage. There was a foundation before we ever got started in building on His kingdom with our sowing.

1 Cor. 3 vs 10-11...According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Christ Jesus....

We need to pay attention to how we build on God's kingdom, because that is how we will be rewarded in the end. And we need to make sure that we always give credit to the Lord and not unto ourselves, for we did not lay the foundation we are just building on the foundation that was already laid for us.

Ephes. 2 v 8-9....for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast....

We do not save anyone, Christ does, No one saves us, Christ does. We are workers in His Kingdom, planting the seeds, tending to the new growth, getting ready for Jesus to Harvest. AMEN

Don't Let Your Branch Wither

One of my devotionals today was telling how when you cut a branch off from the vine it withers and dies. He said no matter how close you lay that branch to that vine, it still can not get the nutrients it needs to survive, the sap is no longer flowing through the vine to that branch, so it withers and dies.
What a great way to explain the verse in John about abiding in the vine. He also said that when you just go to church on Sunday and then you go the rest of the week without spending time in the Word, and in prayer to the Father, then you are like a branch that has been cut off from the vine. Immediately you start to wither. You see we can not just go once a week to get fed the Word, we need to be fed every day. A branch can not live without the food from the vine. We can not live the life God wants us to live without the food from His word daily. Oh yes, you may get by, just like a plant that you forget to water and it starts drooping and looks like it is about to die, then you notice it again and water it thoroughly and it perks back up for a while, but if you forget to water it again, it will start to droop again. If you let this go on too long, then that plant will eventually wither and die, because each time you do this, it is called leaching. When you soak a plant and let the water run through, and then you let it dry out again and do the same thing over again, you are washing out all the nutrients in the soil. Eventually it will die if you do not put those nutrients back. So can you see now, how important it is for you to stay in the Word on a daily basis, and in prayer to the Father?

John 15 v 5-8..."I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.....

You see, Jesus makes it very clear here what will happen if you do not abide in Him and in His Word. And He also tells you when you do, that you all but have to ask whatever you desire and it will be done unto you. I believe people who walk around depressed, and miserable and complaining all the time just need a little watering from the Word of God to pick their droopy spirits up. We show our true spirit on the outside of us, by our expressions on our faces, our body language and etc. So make sure you water yourself daily with the word of God, and don't let yourself get droopy.

Healing

We have talked about this subject so many times, but I still feel like someone has not quite grasp the entire concept of Jesus wanting you healed. You see when you go to a healing service, or during your church service they ask if anyone needs to come down for healing, and you continue to go down there for healing for the same thing over and over, then you are probably not mixing faith with that healing so you are not being healed. Otherwise you wouldn't have to keep going for more. You see Jesus says it was once and for all, meaning He only needed to die on that cross one time for your healing, your sins, your iniquities, etc. And He did it for all, not just this one or that one, but for everybody. Now I am going to use scripture today that you might not would think of for healing scriptures, and alot of people do not like to even read this part of scripture because it is telling of all the curses that the law brought on you. But I want you to read them and pay attention to every single curse.

Deut. 28 v 16-22....curse shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country. Curse shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Cursed shall you be when you come in, cursed shall you be when you go out. The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. The Lord will make the plaque cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish.

Deut. 28 vs 26-28....your carcasses shall be food for the birds of the air, and the beasts of the earth, and no one shall frighten them away. The Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt with tumors with the scab and with the itch from which you cannot be healed. The Lord will strike you with madness, and blindness and confusion of heart.....

These are just a little of what the curses are, but they are enough to give you the picture. Once you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, you can no longer be destroyed by any of these things. All of these things He has already destroyed for you.

1 Pet. 2 v 24...who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins might live for righteousness- by whose stripes you were healed.....

Gal. 3 v 13-14...Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law having become a curse for us (for it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the gentiles in Christ Jesus that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith....
(The word gentiles is referring to us as born again Christians.)

So there is no reason for you to be in poverty, be sick with any sort of illness, be in turmoil over any situation. You have but to believe. It all comes down to your faith in what His word says about your situation. When Jesus died on that cross (tree) He broke all the curses of the law.

Read the story of the boy who was healed of the spirit of epilepsy in Mark. The father of the boy brought him to Jesus and said, I brought him to your disciples but they could not do anything, then Jesus answered and said to them, oh ye of little faith, how long must I be with you? I think He was saying when are you going to get it?

Mark 9 v 19-24....He answered him and said, oh faithless generation how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me. Then they brought him to him and when He saw him, immediately the Spirit convulsed him and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. So He asked his father, how long has this been happening to him? And he said from childhood, and often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us. Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, Lord I believe, Help my unbelief........

Jesus immediately tells this father, not "IF" I can, but IF you can believe!!!

So it all comes down to whether or not you can believe you are healed. And when you take your healing, then don't go and throw it away the very next moment, because you have a symptom of that illness. Don't give into the circumstance and believe it instead of what Jesus said. No, when that symptom hits you, you start praising God and saying how great you feel, and how blessed you are to be healed, and thank Him for your healing over and over. Then the spirit of that illness has to flee and leave you alone. Remember, you can not say you are healed and still keep confessing the sickness over yourself. That would be double mindedness. Give Jesus control over your body, not the illness.
